@@francescomento3120 well clearly the company has bounced back and is worth a few million now. Still going!
@@_Davepocalypse where do you get the few million? I only see 1.23 if I google them
@@ShinseiX my mistake, a couple of years ago, the US side was showing a value of over $3m but it seems to be in falling apart now. It's come down from £2m in 2019 to £975k in 2021. Partly down to a 13 fold increase in liabilities!
I had no idea the Wand company started out on DD.
Guess the dragons who missed out on that are kicking themselves now eh lol
Edit: And Toastabags!
Now you know... So has it changed your perception of the company... Mr . Potter.. Harry Potter! :D
How much is it worth??
@@rohankishibe8259 First year of trading after DD it grossed over a million. Safe to assume it’s worth a lot now.
@@trtvitor1385 apparently they're still releasing products to this day. I could be wrong, but just a few weeks ago they seemed to have partnered up with an online retailer to sell Pokémon replica poke ball.
You have to wonder if these people watch Dragin's Den. For example i have no business experience but being an avid viewer even I, the laymen, know that patent pending
is a long way away from being a patent.
Two pieces of advice for the first person, 1. look into the antibacterial and antimicrobial differences of sharks, 2. Switched to making that a case, exclusively.
Do you know if he’s still working with him
The last toaster bag business is still doing very well, see them in lots of shops .
I have the mesh tray for chips in my oven it’s awesome especially for pizza aswell
I use my same one as on here all the time. How anyone can do chips without one is beyond me. Also great for chicken nuggets.
Karuma Innovations (first clip) was dissolved in 2014 after only selling 10k worth of products from Peter's investment.
Lol, well Apple have the tablet market wrapped up.
I love watching these videos on my lunch break, I’d be very interested in a follow up compilation on how these company’s are doing now …. and if I don’t get one I’m out!! 😉
I personally think it would make a more interesting show if the dragons submitted their offers in secret to the inventors, so that the other dragons don't know what, if anything, is already on the table.
That's how tenders actually work (at least, in my country) and breaching the confidentiality is actually illegal.
Peter Jones is the freaking man. He killed them on the first deal
Hence, why he is the richest!

It was nice to reminded of the days when Summerfields and Woolworths were around❤
The incredible thing was the magic wand company did gross £1 million of sales in the first year 2011, still going strong to this day...
You could tell that they were going to make it. Two intelligent guys, presented well with a fully developed product and good margins
I just looked it up and it only has a net worth of 500k
Someone tell me how's business now for 1 2 and 3?
Peter Jones is 6′ 7″ tall! Never realized he was that tall until I saw the handshake shot at 12:07. First I thought the other guy must be tiny lol

It's interesting how everyone likes to reference Steve Jobs starting out in a garage. While that's true, no one mentions the 1000s of others tech wannabes who failed. And Steve Jobs never had to compete with a huge company like... Apple ... when he started either.
Sure, it’s called survivor bias. It’s so well understood/documented that it doesn’t even bare mentioning. The only people unfamiliar with the concepts are the people trying to compare themselves to Steve Jobs or similar individuals.
At this point u might as well upload full episodes. Pretty sure they will rake in millions of views.
They need to make one of the magic wands the same size as Gandalfs staff.
Thou shall not pause!
So you can use it to cuddle during sleepy time?
I always laugh when he says "Age of Empires" when talking about games that can influence a sale in a wizards wand haha
He knew these people wouldn’t know what age of empires were so just through it in there to flesh it out .
my addiction for Dragons den has finally got me to the point I've seen every episode😂 Are there more episodes out there and how can I access them?
I enjoy the aussie Shark Tank. The American version is just a bunch of yelling & music swells 🙄

It's time for you to create your own product and pitch it to the dragons
I always thought the smartphone is like a wand. So that wand product was wonderful.
37:21, no idea why! But I like spamming that. I like it when they all talk like a chickenfarm together.
Gahahaha
if anyone was wondering how the last two deals went. They didn't go through.
The wandcompany is doing fine in the last years on their own.
But planit products did not do well. The took a loan from the bank, but sales didn't go up.

These dragons are about as charming as you would imagine an executioner to be.
If it was your money you'd be judge and executioner to...

The play base one when he is talking about multiple devices being charged, apple tried that and couldn’t figure it out
Did I get the first one right, Peter put in £150,000 for 75% of that guys business.
Yes and no, he incorporates that guys business into one of his already existing larger ones and launches it across his own product line because he now has access to that technology, and then that guy owns 25%of that bigger business department
