Glad to know the game has something of value! The trailers weren't really selling me, but how you describe it makes it seem more worthwhile than I assumed. Will keep an eye on it!
I’m looking forward to this, it will be great for me as I love the NES as it’s my favourite 8 bit console and I’m a longtime NES fan so this is nostalgic to me. I will get this eventually as I missed out on the deluxe edition.
been a die-hard nintendo fan since the NES, so I was definitely quite excited for this one! Did not know about the 'your favorite NES game' feature though, that's super cool! (mine would just be Zelda 1, but nice to know all the other games are in the list) picking up the physical edition when it drops next month, for sure!
The fact it doesn't have the base games in their full form is really stupid, imho. Those games are in KB you telling me they couldn't put the full games in there as an option. .
The games were already in the switch online collections and the games selling point is the online competitions so most players may already have those games
This feels like NEW Remix but less exciting and more expensive. Like, don’t get me wrong, I’d still jump on it regardless - for like 20 bucks, though. Not what they’re asking. I’ll still avoid fomo but just replaying the NES Remix games when this drops.
Just looked it up the game appears to be cheaper than I thought just for base version… So I’ll certainly have it on my wishlist at the least. But honestly, still feels weird when NES Remix 1 and 2 are right there.
What I want to know; is if there is a mode that lets you speed run these games in their entirety and with up to 8 players locally? I ask, because in the last direct; they showed a mode called "Legendary Mode" which they demonstrated and described a speed run the the entire Super Mario Bros 1 game; but by using as many warp pipes as possible. I wanted to know if that would apply to the other games and if it can be done via local multiplayer. I would love to play Zelda and Zelda 2 with other friends and see who can beat it first in a single afternoon.
@@B0redom13 I haven't really attempted to speed run these games under any sort of speed run rules; but for Zelda 2; I can usually beat it in about 2 hours. I think this collection would help me git gud alot better; and can see myself trying to beat personal records.
@@enriquepinero707 Not trying to sound rude here, but you can just get a bunch of emulators to play zelda games with your friends... But I know what you mean! I doubt the full zelda will be included... the expert mode will be the 1st dungeon I believe

I dunno, I just wanted NES Remix...I liked the crazy stuff that the game made you do, there. Not really into speedrunning or anything, which is what this game is focusing on.
So… here’s the way I see it, or my hot take: from what I’m seeing, the average length of each trial (or whatever else they’re called) is 5 seconds… 150 trials total, meaning that there is about 12 and a half minutes of total game play. Let’s round up to 20 minutes because I know some trials are longer. If the actual games had also been included I could see the value here, but as is, I’ll be giving this a pass.
I've seen a lot of people assume this is just like NES Remix. I really hope they watch reviews like this before purchasing. It looks like a lot of fun but some may judge it for what it's not instead of what it is.
Showing my age but every time I hear someone say "Super Mario BROS" as if it's not an abbreviation, the back of my brain does a little silent scream. I have no idea when this took hold in video game parlance... but it has to be in the last 5 to ten years. Before that it was just understood that Bros. (with the period) is pronounced "Brothers". Same for Princess Peach.... she's always gonna be Princess Toadstool to me.
Seems really pricy for what it is. I thought it would have been the next Mario 99. A game included with Switch online. Or even expansion pak. Seems it would have worked much better that way. Keep the online community large.
Already bought NES Remix on 3DS and WiiU, will pass here. How about they bring back Virtual Console instead of the fake @$$ Netflix subscription crap they have right now on the Switch for playing retro games.
Because I've never had NES it's so awesome to see there's coming the classic NES collection for Nintendo Switch with old Super Mario, Kirby and The Legend of Zelda games, i'm so excited defienitily for NES's The Legend of Zelda game! With this nostalgic old retro NES collection Nintendo World Championship Nintendo will really be The World Champion of the Video Games! 🎮🏆
I just don’t get the appeal of this. Seems like something that should have been a free download with NSO. Paying anything over $5 for this would be a hard pass for me.
This should’ve been a temporary NSO addition like Mario 35 or like the 99 games. This is N realizing people really engaging with the NSO additions and they’re trying to see if they can sell it instead.
If 3DS could do NES remix, it would be amazing to get a SNES or even 64 remix on modern hardware, especially on the next Switch.
Glad to know the game has something of value! The trailers weren't really selling me, but how you describe it makes it seem more worthwhile than I assumed. Will keep an eye on it!

I agree would have added a good amount of value for me as well. I don’t do the online stuff with switch at all
The last challenge for almost every game is to speedrun the whole game
That’s really cool. Does it include the Super Mario Bros. mission from the original NWC 1990 where you collect 50 coins as fast as possible?
As an old, I like this. I hope it does well enough to get a SNES version next.
They need to bring back Mario 35 . Just let me pay for it. I played switch everyday with that game..
This x1000, I still have withdrawal.
I miss it so much
Even though I’ve had a Wii U I’ve never played NES remix 1 or 2 so this will be a fresh experience for
me
Fairly excited for this one. Just worried itll be short lived since i dont play online much.
NES Remix without the Remix
NES Final Mix?
2:12 "sprint to the end of an early level in kirby's adventure"
ummm... that's literally the last level in the game before the final boss lol
I pre-ordered the collectors edition! Looking forward to it!
When? It’s still not available on the Nintendo store

This looks fun, I hope Nintendo expands upon this and does it with snes and perhaps n64 too down the road
Would've been epic if they included the full NES version of each game 🥲
Agree, but Nintendo might be done selling us legacy titles. They’d rather make us subscribe to play them or ship a remake

NES Remix 2 already exists

Mario 35, me too. F-Zero 99 was fun at first, but now it is a ghost town...
