Don't know if you'll ever read this given the video is 4 years old at the time of this comment: This is information-rich content, straight to the point, no-nonsense content and I so appreciate it.
I've purchased half-a-dozen watches from Jomashop and have never had a problem. Some of them came with warranty cards, others not, but they all came in an original box, with the booklet and were brand new, with the plastic still on them. I never intend to sell my watches, so I don't care that much about the warranty cards. Without Joma I would not be able to afford the wonderful collection I now have. I don't buy watches to be "display queens", I use my watches, and when I die, I hope each and every watch is broken and worn out because that means I enjoyed them to the fullest.
thanks so much for sharing your experiences. I 100% agree with you watches are ment to be worn and jomashop lets it be a reality to own some stuff that would otherwise be out of reach for 99% of the planet. Im glad you are enjoying all your watches !! what is your favorite watch in your collection?
We buy things to make us men happy. A watch is a true men accessory that is highly value since the beginning of invention of clocks. All “gentleman” who are true to themselves should own a watch no matter what. My advice is , if you don’t own a watch after 21 yrs old... then living everyday would be a struggle since your time isn’t importantly valued.
@@SkaterTE I love putting in a watch everyday. Def don’t feel right without it. It’s great to have something you really love, take care of it, and bring it everyday along with you to go through whatever adventures you go through yourself. I agree I think everyone should own a watch but if they don’t then hey more watches for you and me

Thinking about buying a watch?
@@WatchUnwind Hi Brandon, I started thinking about getting a few watches about 3 months ago and lo and behold I'm up to 8 watches now. One of the watches I was considering and ended up buying was the Longines Hydroquest. I found your video and liked your no-nonsense, no frills, common sense approach. I ended up buying it from Jomashop and am looking forward to receiving it. I've watched a lot of RUclips videos over this time, Teddy and all the rest. Thank you for what you add to the space. If you're interested in my choices for these 8 so far let me know and I'll write another paragraph and share it with you. Gary
@@garyshapiro7512 congrats! You move quickly, I’m at 9 watches right now so we are almost tied. I just bought my first vintage watch at a estate sale a few hours ago for 5 bucks. Glad you got the Hydroconquest!! That was my first luxury watch and I still wear it all the time. Excited for you to get it soon. I’m always down to talk watches. Yeah definitely let me know what’s in your collection.
@@WatchUnwind Wow! $5 for a vintage watch, good going. So when I first started studying content, it seemed that everything I thought was classy and beautiful was in the $9-12k range (Datejust, JLC, Grand Seiko, Cartier), so I started thinking maybe 4 watches for...a lot! Then the more I studied, the more I realized/thought that these are beautiful watches but they're also kind of serious watches, the kind of watches you imagine a Swiss banker wearing. I'm more a workout on the Santa Monica beach kinda guy. So I switched my perspective to more classy-fun, watches that can be dressed up or down. I also thought that since I've never dived a day in my life or have any plans to scale Mt. Everest, I would slant away from tool watches and slant more toward beautiful dials. The only watch that survived the original list was the Datejust. It ticks all the boxes. The salesman at the local AD was really nice to me and was really helpful so I put an order for a dark blue and silver both with fluted bezels. We'll see how long it takes to come in. Next were watches with beautiful dials that pop with color. I tried to order some Anordains but realized not only are they sold out but I hear they have a 2 year waiting list. Im on their mailing list. I saw you pictured one of their watches on your micro brands video. Cheers! I did more research that lead me to Straum, a Norwegian brand. They were sold out too but a few weeks later I got an email that they opened a new line called Opphav Damascus. Check it out, I bought the blue one. I bought a Junghans Form A for dress occasions because its inexpensive (got it on Chrono 24), I really like the German minimalism look and I like that its simple and modern looking. I got the white and black Seiko presage GMT 1) for traveling. 2) its got 75% of Grand Seiko fit and finish for 1/7 the price. 3) beautiful dials 4) so I don't get rolled for my Rolex! I ordered the Christopher Ward Moonglow. I just think its beautiful for the price. Then finally I started thinking, hey how about a go anywhere do anything watch that's not too expensive, built to take whatever you dish out and is equally at home on a hiking trail or the opera. That led me to the Hydroconquest and that's exactly how you described it too. I have a feeling that may become my favorite. I've been buying watches for my friends who aren't into watches so that I have a little more camaraderie and shared excitement while I'm on this journey/rabbit hole/insanity? All the best to you and your continued success.
@@garyshapiro7512 thanks for sharing i absolutely love hearing stories like yours. You have been in quite the ride already but your collection is already really great and diverse. I think fun but well made versatile watches you can dress up or down are going to fit your personality well. I’m going to check out the opphav damascus right now. I love that each of your watches you really thought about and that each one has a purpose. Now the fun part is going to be building memories with all of your watches so every time you put one on you have a flash back of memories! Let me know when you get the Hydroconquest I want to hear your thoughts on it. The watch bug got you in it’s grips for sure!! welcome to the club brother
I had a pretty expensive time piece stolen a few months back and Jomashop has an identical piece on their website. I've been looking at theirs for about a week now, but wasn't sure if their pieces were authentic or not. They have many nice pieces with low prices. I don't mind spending money, but you can never go wrong saving money either. I appreciate this video. Thank you sir.
Bro I’m sorry to hear that someone stole your watch, that’s horrible. One thing I hate above all else are thieves. Since making this video I have also made a part II where I unbox a Omega Seamaster from Jomashop so you can see exactly what to expect start to finish if you order from them. What is the watch your thinking about buying again?
My watch was a Revue Thommen Diver XL with the red bezel. However, I did see a Tissot T Race Chrono with the red band and black dial that I like pretty good too. That red band will look good against my skin tone. I saw that Omega watch unboxing. I'm not in that $4k range yet, I have to wait until after college.
@@1tuffbulldog. Just looked hot the Diver Xl, it’s a pretty bad ass looking watch. Can’t go wrong with the Tissot either. Smart man, there will be plenty of time to buy higher priced watches in the future once your out of school. I just recently finished school myself that’s what put me in the position to get the Omega, but I got it on Jomashop to save a grand because that’s like a months rent. It’s easy in this hobby to get a distorted sense of reality. I like the two watches you are thinking about. Iv always had a thing for red on watches as well but don’t own any red watches yet. Let me know what you end up getting and keep that thing safe. How did someone end up stealing your original watch anyway?
I bought a new watch from Jomashop and they sent me a USED model with damaged packaging, a manual from a completely different watch and THREE LINKS MISSING from the bracelet! They refused to pay for return shipping and didn't even apologize for sending out a dud watch. I'd heard horror stories about how bad Jomashop customer service is, but thought they were overblown. Not so, the stories are true - Jomashop is AWFUL. You save $$ but buyer beware, they don't give a fig about you as a customer. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I’m amazed they are still in business.
@@WatchUnwind I bought an Orient Star Bllue Dial, with power reserve indicator. Nice enough watch, and one for what I call my "popcorn" collection. Not an expensive watch, or a watch I would wear a lot, but it makes for a nice change sometimes and adds to my collection of complications - I didn't have a Power Reserve in my collection. The service from Jomashop was awful and they refused any reasonable remedy, Imagine if it was a Rolex!! I filed a chargeback with Amex and let them deal with it
@@happywanderer5632 your right to be pissed off thats pretty messed up and scary because I have actually considered getting that same watch my self for the same reasons. Would be cool to own a power reserve and its a good looking watch from a brand a lot of people seem to like. I feel lucky with my Omega after hearing some of these horror stories. I am happy with my two Joma purchases but in the future may go other routes like reputable used dealers
@@Tobester_McDonkey that is a crazy story as I bought a Hamilton as well and it was perfect even now like 5-6 years later and I also bought an Omega that has been fine as well. I have heard some horror stories like this though your definitely not the first one.
@@Tobester_McDonkey that’s absolutely ludicrous. Sorry you had to go through that brother. If that happened to me I’d end up at jomashop HQ slapping someone
That’s why I made this video to ease some minds. If you want to see exactly what you get when you buy a watch from Jomashop checkout my latest video where I do a unboxing of a watch I paid 4,000 bucks for. No issues what so ever and I’m super happy. I know some people have said they have had problems but I never have so I can only share my experiences.
Thanks for the explanation bro! I bought Longiness at Jomashop and I’m extremely pleased. I listened to your video cause I’m think of buying an Omega Seamaster.
Of course! Nice I have a longines hydroconquest but I bought that from an AD. Hope you subscribe to my channel but go on over to my channel page and I have a “ is jomashop a scam part 2 video” on this video I show a start to finish unboxing of an Omega seamaster I bought from jomashop. Mint condition everything perfect 👌 it’s still running strong and seems to keep perfect time: they did give me a box with it but it’s not the seamaster box i think it’s a female constellation box. I can recommend buying an seamaster from them since I did it myself. I got the blue bezel grey dial. What version are you thinking about? And what model from longines do you have?
9:10 very good point that the savings from gray market will probably exceed whatever extra resale value you can get by having the papers, only point to add to that is that having no papers can sometimes mean it takes longer to sell the watch since people generally prefer to have them & that longer time can push people to drop their price. Overall though great video & well explained 👍
That's a good point Shah, thanks for sharing it. I could see it taking a lot longer to sell a watch without the papers. Especially if someone doesn't sell watches often so don't have any reviews on chrono24 or ebay, people might be worried.
@@opticalecho119 Def ! My hamilton titanium had a legitimate retail price of 999 but I picked it up on Jomshop for 630 I believe. What are some of the watches you have picked up Connor?
Watch & Unwind I’ve recently picked up a Mido Ocean Star Captain with the blue dial and that’s the beginning of my watch collection. I have my eyes on Tissot though, I really like the look of the Gentleman and the Le Locle. That kind of price point on grey market watches is perfect for me as someone in my early 20’s with a bit of money saved up and no desire to blow it all at once.
@@opticalecho119 Mido is a really cool brand that does not get enough respect. you got your self a nice watch. Cant go wrong with Tissot either, I like both of those models. You sound like you are doing it right those are all quality watches you can enjoy without breaking the bank..
Thanks for your video. Very informative. I’ve purchased several Montblanc pens from Jomashop with no issue. I’ve even purchased one directly from Montblanc and compared to the same model from Jomashop and no difference except the serial number.
Thanks for watching and contributing to the comments. I have always wondered about their pens so I’m glad you shared. Please subscribe and stick around the channel. Is their a certain watch your thinking about picking up from them?
I just bought a Tudor Pelagos for 4K. Got it today, and it came with the box. But when i opened the watch it seemed like someone took the watch out, put the Jomashop tags (Which if you take off, you cannot return). Then that person throw the watch back in the box. It wasnt even on the pillow. I was shocked, even thinking it was returned watch I got. But after inspecting it, it was totally new as i was able to take off all the clear stickers (Which i don’t think can be placed on the watch that perfectly). I’m over the packing. But for now am satisfied with the watch. Just wish they wouldn’t treat a 4K watch like that.
Sorry to hear that was your initial experience. Like you said, the watch is brand new and the Pelagos is a hell of a watch so you still made out good. But for a 4k purchase to throw the watch back in the box and not on the pillow is unacceptable. Your first sight of the watch is one of or not the best part about opening up your new watch.
The 2 things I love getting from Jomashop are colognes and watches, as an average teenager that makes minimum wage it's one of the best places to go to and not have to worry weather something is fake or not. I recently picked up a "gold" Bulova watch from there that I payed $217 with tax compared to the store value having it at $300+; now all I honestly do is go to the store to look at watches put them on to see how they feel then I buy them online at a significant decrease.
Glad to hear it brother! It’s the logical thing to do. Go get a feel for it in person but it’s hard to justify spending hundreds more in person for no reason when you can just buy it online. Some people try to justify it but in any other setting it doesn’t make sense. If two McDonald’s across the street had Big Macs one for $5 and one for 19.99 you know where everyone is eating
Thanks for this video, you answered my question of where Jomashop gets their inventory from. I bought a pair of polarized Ray Ban sunglasses from them as they were the cheapest I could find anywhere. The sunglasses came today and they are 100% legit so I'm happy. I figured they wouldn't sell a fake $200 item when they are selling watches for tens of thousands of dollars but I still had to be cautious.
Thanks for watching Kyle. I am glad I could help !! 200 bucks is 200 bucks I love Ray Ban glasses its important to always be cautious when your spending money. Glad you made out good.
No they are 1000% legit they get all their stuff from authorised dealers at a lesser price since its all bought in bulk and they offer a 3rd party warranty if ya want a warranty
Great content. Made the mistake of buying my Omega planet ocean from Joma, stated was new, came with re-polished lines across casing. Customer service was useless. Unfortunately a very expensive lesson.
Thanks for watching. Sorry to hear that. I just recently made a follow up video to this one where I bought a omega seamaster 300 from Jomashop and I didn’t have any issues at all. New should always be new they have a separate section for used watches. I hope you have still Been able to enjoy the watch and got a good price on it. Sometimes the prices on Jomashop’s new watches are less than those same watches used elsewhere
So sorry to hear that brother but I'm glad you put the review I decided to go with AD and spend a little extra money knowing and having a secure feeling that its original with all paperwork and its original box
Very informative video, thanks. I have shopped from Joma for years without a problem. But I would NEVER ship a watch back to them for service. I figure if it works well within the 30 day return period, from that point on I treat it as if I purchased a used watch that has no warranty. There are a lot of good and affordable watch repair shops all over the world.
Thanks for sharing your experience and thanks for watching. Good way of doing it, your right its easy enough to bring it in to a third party repair shop if need be

@@WatchUnwind Just had a brand new Omega Seamaster blue dial watch delivered from Jomashop. Authentic! I know because I have the white dial version I bought from the Omega boutique to compare it with. Spot on except I saved $1,600 with Jomashop! Yay!
Thanks for your concise and straining-to-the-point review. Based on this I pulled the trigger and purchased the watch for 1/2 the retail price. Now anxious wait for the watch to arrive.
Glad I could help Tomasz please report back when you get your watch I’m curious to hear what you got and how everything went. Definitely helps others to hear people’s experiences. If you were curious I did a part 2 to this video where I unbox inbox an Omega Seamaster from Jomashop so you know exactly what to expect.
I purchased a Omega Blue dial Aqua Terra 41mm from Jomashop they say it was new. it came packaged as the boutique packaged my diver 300M & Planet Ocean. only thing wrong with the Jomashop purchase was the watch was running too slow (-3 to -4 sec/12hrs) and I didn't have the Omega pictogram card or the omega warranty card. I took the watch to Omega Boutique Service Center and Paid to have it complete service to OEM spec of 0.4 sec/per day. I still saved $3000.00
I totally approve of buying on the "gray market." Reputable dealers will give a limited warranty. Granted, it is not a manufacturer's warranty. However, if you had to deal with the manufacturer, they can take months to send back your watch.
Very true, ,I think the pros out weigh the cons, especially on my budget it just makes owning a lot of these watches possible when they wouldn't have been otherwise.
I ordered a Tissot watch from Jomashop. It arrived more than I had ever expected. It was if I just purchased it from Macy's. They are a legitimate seller of nice watches. And, this was new.
It sounds like the only *real* risk is no factory warranty for their high end watches. That's not much of a problem, because you can still send the watch to an authorized repair shop, or back to Omega or Grand Seiko, or whoever made the watch. You can still get it repaired, but it'll cost you, which is exactly how it would work AFTER your factory warranty expires.
I know this is a year old post but I just purchased a Breitling Navitimer 1 for $4,995 plus tax I opened the shipping box and I got the booklet and the blue Breitling inner box and the Jomashop warranty no Breitling papers or outer box watch is new running great I was a little nervous about it being a fake but I don’t think it is fake thanks for the post 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for sharing. I always like to hear the experiences that people have. I wouldn’t be nervous at all since the time of this video I have also purchased an omega sea master from jomashop. I love Breitling, I don’t own one yet but I’d love to buy one in the future. Sounds like you got a good deal congrats on your new watch!
Good to know. I have wanted to get myself a montblanc pen at times. I don’t really ever use a pen but would be cool to have a special pen for when I do need to use one
Thanks a lot for watching JW. Yes that applied to the new watch. Since it is sold from a third party retailer (jomashop) the jomashop papers ( the jomashop recipient) would only be valid for a warranty through jomashop and not Omega. Now that you have brought it up though since you will have documentation through the receipt you could hypothetically keep it to show someone in the future “ hey this is where I got the watch from see it’s a real watch, just to be as transparent as possible”. I had a good experience with the omega boutique in Orlando last May. I did pay full price but I enjoyed the experience. I hope to try Joma shop in the future. Thanks for the good info.

I'm split on the grey market. For lower value watches, getting them sans warranty I am ok with (say a $1500-2000 watch for around $500-700). My grail is a Speedy Pro, and to be honest, I'd probably go to an AD for that one even if it costs me more.
I can definitely see that point of view. from the time of making this video I have actually bought an omega Seamaster from here and it was perfect. Check my second part to see the unboxing of that if your interested. I have also bought a Rolex from an AD so I can see the appeal of getting a high end watch straight from the AD with box and papers for the peace of mind. Speedy pro is an awesome watch and a lot of money so if it’s your grail and your going to keep it forever then maybe get it at an AD. When I bought my seamaster I couldn’t personally justify spending the extra grand to buy straight from omega because i live in Alaska and there is no AD here. I would have had to order it online and get a box to my house either way.
Great video. Really appreciate you taking the time to share your perspective and experiences. Have had great and terrible experiences on many fronts. The bad are definitely the exceptions and have ranged from ADs to EBay to some well known authenticator/resellers. But, again, the bad experiences are super rare.

Ryan that is awesome that you have had two good experiences on Joma Shop. What Models did you pick up? Breitling and Omega are two of my favorite brands.
I ended up getting the most recent Omega Diver 300M in black ceramic and a Breitling Avenger II Seawolf. I definitely don’t think I would have got the two without the insane discounts you find on these websites like you said, side note they have great discounts on pens and sunglasses as well

My issue is not necessarily with the gray market, if you’re not buying a very expensive watch. My issue is with Jomashop itself, and its customer service in the event that there’s a problem with their shipping. I’ve never dealt with more obnoxious people in customer service ever. I asked for somebody at the chain of command in customer service to contact me, but I got nothing. Once Jomashop gets your money, they straight up don’t care - that’s at least my experience. I finally got my watch, thanks to my neighbor on the farther end of the street. And I’m happy with it. But it was a good lesson learned.
@@WatchUnwind Yes. After the watch was delivered to the wrong place, it was just marked as “delivered” in Jomashop’s electronic system. The customer service rep didn’t know how to do anything but parrot the talking point that the watch had been delivered and then tell me that nothing could be done now. For me, it was like talking to a robot, except that the customer service rep was more aggravating than any robot could ever be. Customer service only requires a willingness to listen and then try to get to the bottom of the problem at hand. I don’t understand why any company would pay their customer service reps to just aggravate and ultimately alienate their customers.
@@ClosertoBooks yeah that sounds like a really aggravating experience. I’m happy to hear you got your watch though. If this happens when I bought my seamaster from jomashop I would have flipped
I have gotten two watches from Jomashop, but don’t believe I would spend real money (over $5k) with them due to their reputation. I have actually found better deals with different gray market dealers and they were sent in immaculate condition (Omega, Grand Seiko, Sinn).
I have also gotten two watches a Hamilton khaki field titanium and an omega seamaster i pair 3,900 for and it was perfect. I actually did an unboxing in a part two of this video so check that out out too if your interested. What two watches did you get from jomashop and what other grey market dealers do you recommend?
Agreed. This guy is either paid by them for the review, or has not done due diligence in researching negative reviews and BBB ratings (which are only average). Wouldn't trust him on any other topics based on this puff piece.
Is Gnomon a grey market dealer? I got a nice Seiko from them with box and papers. Not the full warenty though. I had faith the 8L movement would out live the warranty period. I think the discount they offered was pretty good and no tax, shipping costs or other fees.
I was just looking at their website because I haven’t heard of them before. I couldn’t tell if they were a true AD or grey market but it sounds like you got a good deal. Taxation is theft I am about you didn’t pay 💰.
I bought watches from Jomashop. The watches perform superb: Hamilton Khaki field auto, citizen blue angel line-drive etc. They still run. My hammie got a few dings because I am an active person. I hear Jomashop is based in NYC. Do they have a retail space where you can check the watches before payment? Or is it online only, not allowing you to try on the watch first?
Bought an Orient Ray II for Father’s Day, has an amazing discount (over 50%), totaling 150 + shipping. No problems so far, its an authentic and amazing quality timepiece. Wouldn’t buy luxury watches though, not willing to take the risk on fancy brands like that.
Nice score, glad to hear it worked out well. Want to add an Orient into my collection one day. I like the Ray II. Since filming this video I actually made a part 2 where I unbox a 5k watch ($ 3900 is what I paid on Jomashop). Check it out if your interested. Have not had any issues but I wont lie I was nervous before I got it. That was a significant amount of money for me and the most expensive watch in my collection.
Hey Nader, everything on jomashop is going to be real. That's why I made this video because when I was in your shoes I didn't know and was worried about the same thing. They are real watches just they acquired them through different ways then directly through the company. So you are not going to get a factory warranty but the watch will NOT be fake.
@@naderichaoui3832 Very glad I could help ! When I started this channel It was my goal to start some dialogue with other people who loved watches as much as me. The Navihawk is a sweet looking watch and on Joma its more than 50 percent off ! Are you going with the silver or the black version?
@@WatchUnwind My friend, it's nice to speak with you. You helped me to make the decision to buy the watch, I'm going to buy the black one. I liked the details in it. I can see it like the plane dashboard .. I like more black and orange navihawk, but I did not find it available.
I got a watch from them . I want to return. They took the watch and didn’t send my money back . They said there is issue with the bank . I went to the bank they told me no issue there and no transactions came to us. I gave them another card to try. Now 4 months no reply in phones emails nothing. Now I lost my money + more than 1 thousand tax and customs clearance + found in omega store outlet same watch with half price as it’s very old style.
What was the watch you purchased and why did you send it back? Sorry to hear that I have gotten two watches from them with no problems so far including one omega but again I haven’t had to deal with any returns
dude thank you so much even though I didn’t get a watch is nice to know they’re not scammers I just purchased 2 pairs of sunglasses yesterday ,and I was like man this is way to cheap it make no sense lolz
Thank you for sharing this information. I have only had 2/2 good purchases from them but the two defective Captain cooks is not cool at all. Did you get a third but it was ok or a refund how did this story end?
@@michaelfierman3256 I bought from them because there was no AD in my state and saving 1k was a lot of coin for me. At the point in my life where I am at now I might buy used next time if I want to save money. It’s always a risk that’s why I tried to stay as neutral as possible I have only bought 1 seamaster and 1 Hamilton khaki from jomashop. Both still in working condition. The back to back duds with you is pretty unexplainably bad. If I had that experience this video would have came out slot different lol
I would think that they would email you when they ship out but to be honest I don’t remember 100% if they did. I have now bought two items from jomashop. With my second I’m pretty sure I got a tracking number and they let me know
Awesome good to hear! I have got the Hamilton khaki and an omega sea master and both were perfect. Definitely a good way to go to save money if you don’t care about box and papers
Bro, I am so hesitant of making my purchase just now from Jomas Shop, stopped the purchase in mid stride, said I had cold feet... and found you here came here. I know you can't tell me what to do but I am looking to but the Omega Planet Ocean for $13,500 including the tax, in S/S and Gold...it's insane the price. I hope you see this and reply with your thoughts...
That’s a big purchase no wonder you are hesitant about it. I actually just bought an Omega seamaster professional 300m from Jomashop a few months ago. It was 4 grand so yours is about 4x more expensive but I was nervous as well As that is currently my most expensive watch . Click onto my channel to see the rest of my videos and it was the last video I made I do a full unboxing of the entire package so you can see exactly what you should expect. It came with an omega box but I found out the box was not right for the watch they gave me a female constellation box but honestly I don’t care the watch is in perfect condition and I been wearing it every day. I didn’t check the accuracy with machine or anything like that but to me it seems to be keeping perfect time. Just looked up your watch think I found it , dude that’s a bad ass watch. Based on my personal experience of buying an Omega from Jomashop I would feel confident buying another. If you buy that watch you have to send me a picture or short video to my email I wanna check it out.
@@WatchUnwind its seems to be a lot of watch for the money, so many technical and asthetic qualities...I've done so much research on the watch...now the trick getting an aithentic one at the best price. I could slide on the box too....but if all is like they said over the phone, even that shouldn't be a problem. I will write you when i get it.
Great video. Comprehensive explanation and now I have a good understanding of what I'm getting into. Thanks so much. Jomashop has the watch I want for $1300 less than retail. Still not sure what I'm going to do, but at least I've got the information.
Glad I could help and thanks for checking out the video. I made a part two to this video where I do a start to finish unboxing of a 4K watch from jomashop ( an omega speedmaster ) if your interested I’d check that one out as well. What watch is it your thinking about picking up?
@@WatchUnwind Thanks man. I'm looking at a 38 mm Aqua Terra (new 8800 calibre), black dial. I tried it on at the shop, loved it. Dealer is a good guy, feel bad if I don't buy from him since he took time with me, going through 15 or so watches, and I like supporting brick and mortar, local, etc. - but at the same time, $1300 is a lot of coin. What do you think?
@@icychap that’s a great choice I love my Omega it hangs right up there with my Rolex or anything else. I was really close to buying an Aquaterra but ended up going with the professional. The aquaterra is the more versatile watch though. You can wear that casually anywhere you go, into the ocean, or to a wedding and it would look awesome in every occasion. That is the hard choice and I also like to support local but like you said 1300 is a lot of money. You could always tell him the truth and say “I was looking around and I found this watch for 1300 cheaper online. I know you probably can’t come down that much but is there anything you could do because I’d like to buy it from you” if he could go down somewhat at least the extra you pay would be for the peace of mind and for the warranty. Like I said iv had good luck on jomashop but I have heard horror stories from some viewers, not sure how true or not they have been. When I got my seamaster I was definitely pretty nervous until I opened it up even though I felt strongly it was a good decision. If that 1300 is better spent somewhere else like something for your family, to pay down debt, or a good vacation to build a memory with than you might want to save the money and go jomashop. Whatever you do just think on it a little bit you already saved up for the watch and we’re patient so think on it, no rush then you can make the best decision. Pros and cons for each. Where I am at in life right now we’re expecting a little girl in a few months so I’d go the cheaper route as I end with the same product that that money can go to put my family in a better situation. Please subscribe to the channel to keep in touch and let me know what you decide I want to hear about when you get your watch.
@@WatchUnwind The other thing that has me thinking is the warranty card. This is my first luxury watch. I intend to wear it basically every day. I have no idea whether "papers" are important, if I will realistically need covered service, etc. Thoughts?
@@icychap the warrenty covers the movement only so any wear and tear is not covered. I have always bought from jomashop with the mindset that if something went wrong sending it to omega to fix would probably cost less than the difference I saved. I have actually never serviced any of my watches or anything and they all have been working pretty spot on. One thing to consider is with papers you could resell the watch for more if you ever had to sell that’s the big area where papers are important but you didn’t pay as much in the first place if you get it without papers so it kind of equals out. Congrats on buying your first luxury watch it’s a big accomplishment and it’s going to feel awesome to have on wrist everyday!!
Sorry, no idea I have never been to Europe so I don’t really know how shipping works there. In this day and age shipping is usual free or maybe like 30$ at most. At least here in the US even when lording from other countries

I love Oris !!! I have been wanting a Oris Aquis myself for along time but have not pulled the trigger yet. Its a great and heavy duty looking watch. I would like to get it in blue. I think its a great buy
Great video, thank you. Everyone's different, but think I want that warranty card. If I can't afford AD's prices, I shouldn't buy it. I guess. Maybe. I don't know!
Thanks for watching. To me even if I can afford the ads prices I may still buy grey market if the discount is big enough so I can put money elsewhere as I think it’s the smarter move. I do also buy watches retail though all my Rolex I have bought retail
@@WatchUnwindWhat a difference a year makes. I just bought a Breitling from Jomashop. Watch was flawless. No Breitling warranty, but what kind of bummed me out- no COSC certificate. But Man the price, well I just couldn't pass it up. Want to watch this video again, thanks🙂👍
Bought a watch from Jomashop. Watch came in a different box and packaging. Seiko tags were missing, replaced by some generic owner's manual. Zero buying confidence. Will never buy again from Jomashop!
Although the box and packaging were different and all I assure you it was a legit watch. That’s the thing with grey market your not getting the actual box and papers. Even my omega was in a different omega box they just shove them in whatever box they find but the watches are legit and that’s where the Roxie difference is
What three watches did you buy from them? And to be clear did they give you 25% off the wrong one and you kept it ? Or did you return it and get 25% off your next one ?
I have no experience with jomashop besides watches but I wouldn’t think you would have a problem. Check out the second part to this video as well to give you a better idea
@Watch and Unwind One key factor that was left out of the boutique buying experience. Is the building of a purchase history and relationship with a boutique or AD. This element can save you thousands on future purchases. A relationship could get you harder to get pieces, boutique only additions, at retail. Prior to 2018 you were considered a sucker for purchasing at a boutique. Authenticity was always my main concern and reason for going that route. Today RUclips is littered with videos of Authorized Dealers holding back pieces for loyal customers. If you were loyal to the Gray Market then, you have to pay the premiums now!😂😂😂
Thanks for the input Juan you make some strong points. And to be fair you can often get some great deals at a good AD as well. I know E.D. Marshall who worked with my for my Frank Muller And Ulysse Nardin hands on videos always has some pretty competitive prices on their watches. If you can afford it and there is not a GIANT price discrepancy than AD is the way to go. Great point as well on the relationship building, but I think it matters who the client is. Some people just don’t have the means to buy multiple watches and will probably just own one “luxury” watch their entire life. If it’s a true 3x price difference on their dream watch the grey market might make it a possible when buying it at a AD is just a pipe dream. I should make another video just on the pros of buying from an AD. There is not black and white answer the answer to if the grey market is definitely in the grey.
I bought colognes from many different websites. JomaShop takes the longest to send. Ordered naxos the middle of September. It's October 2nd I still didn't get it.
I know at least for the watches some say in stock, say say contact us for purchase, and some say will shop out in a different time frame. I have only ever bought something that says in stock and ships out immediately. Did they give you a tracking number?
First time I’ve heard about this site. So all they are selling are just authentic items? I am planning to check if I could purchase a gucci shoes and wanting to know if they ship to Canada and is there nothing to worry about the shipping process. I would greatly appreciate your thoughts thank you.

It means that the watch is new but the box was opened and it somehow got scratched in these places. Maybe by the jeweler or the manufacturer. Or it could have been a display case model. I’d consider it preowened at that point.
For the last 12 or so years I have purchased watches anywhere from a $200 Citizen to a $14k Rolex. All genuine and in perfect new condition. But no papers or instructions booklet. They do ship in original factory box.
The fact that I can purchase a watch from Joma for more than something I have to wait for is exceptable to me. For most other watches I can purchase them for far less. I'm good with Joma. I have purchsed over a dozen watches from low to high price, Never had issues.

I ended up buying it from Jomashop and am looking forward to receiving it. I've watched a lot of RUclips videos over this time, Teddy and all the rest. Thank you for what you add to the space.

I don't mind spending money, but you can never go wrong saving money either. I appreciate this video. Thank you sir.

Sorry you had to deal with that. What was the model watch you bought and what was the end result?
@@WatchUnwind I bought an Orient Star Bllue Dial, with power reserve indicator. Nice enough watch, and one for what I call my "popcorn" collection.
It works fine for me buying watches that are under $1000 that I don’t plan to ever resell

I hope you have still

Happy to hear you had a good experience!!
About two years ago I purchased a brand new Air King with box and papers from Jomashop, no regrets at all. Love the watch.
That’s awesome and congrats because that’s a great watch. I have always loved the air king 👑
Exactly. 👍

Great and straight forward review - love your narrative style! Question: no papers applies to even a new watch?
Thanks a lot for watching JW. Yes that applied to the new watch. Since it is sold from a third party retailer (jomashop) the jomashop papers ( the jomashop recipient) would only be valid for a warranty through jomashop and not Omega. Now that you have brought it up though since you will have documentation through the receipt you could hypothetically keep it to show someone in the future “ hey this is where I got the watch from see it’s a real watch, just to be as transparent as possible”. did you get it ?

How did you neighbor help you did they drop the watch off to him instead of you?
Yes, lots of complaints through BBB for similar poor service after the sale.
Would you be so kind and share what other vendors you’d recommend?
Agreed. This guy is either paid by them for the review, or has not done due diligence in researching negative reviews and BBB ratings (which are only average). Wouldn't trust him on any other topics based on this puff piece.
I've purchased several watches from them. Always received items as promised. Definitely a trusted retailer.

Thank you for the video im thinking to buy a tissot from there.
Glad you found it helpful! Can’t go wrong with tissot
Great, informative video! Thank you!
Thanks for watching I appreciate it

Hi, can I ask a question, how much does shipping cost to Europe? I would love to order a cologne but don’t know the shipping fees. Thank you
Sorry, no idea I have never been to Europe so I don’t really know how shipping works there. In this day and age shipping is usual free or maybe like 30$ at most. At least here in the US even when lording from other countries
I’m just worried about customer service for items even under 1K, if there is a shipping issue etc, will I get my money back?
If your worried about something like that I would just buy on credit card if there is an issue left in resolved you could always do a charge back
Well spoken👏🏼
I write my own scripts and sometimes talk freely off the top of my head. It’s hard to talk to your self in a camera for 10 minutes straight without errors and make it sound good
@@WatchUnwind never mind! I didn't mean anything🙂. It's been 2 years for your video and still it helps to people. Well spekon words. Thank you!
@@WatchUnwind you're right! It isn't easy to not be mistaken while speaking
@@muzaffarprimkulov3986 thanks for watching I appreciate it. Check out some of my newer videos I think my speaking has improved lol but it’s always a work in progress. This is still my most viewed video to this day I wish they all did this well!
@@WatchUnwind yes, for sure, I will watch them
Hello. I had no knowledge of English,
I found the translation. I ordered a watch, I looked on your website and it says Open box/non-standard problem: scratches on the back cover and bezel? Didn't you use a clock on the sat? Jomashop.
I think it means that the watch got damaged some how but it was technically never worn. I’d think of it more as a used watch at that point.
Great video, how do you feel about Oris watches on Jomashop? I’ve been eyeing the Oris Aquis...
@@scottlalonde2878 thanks for stopping by, again! I’m excited to hear you bought that watch and love it. Breitling is an amazing brand
Even my omega was in a different omega box they just shove them in whatever box they find but the watches are legit and that’s where the Roxie difference is
@@WatchUnwind You think they're legitimate. Ask a qualified watchmaker or authorized /trained service person.
@@Romany1111 I have
Thankyou for inside info ibought three watches from joma shop once they sent me wrong watch they game me 25 percent off .great price for good watches
What three watches did you buy from them? And to be clear did they give you 25% off the wrong one and you kept it ? Or did you return it and get 25% off your next one ?
if i were to get oakleys from there would it be a legit pair?
Thanks for explaining this. Subscribing. 👍🏼👍🏼

First time I’ve heard about this site. So all they are selling are just authentic items? I am planning to check if I could purchase a gucci shoes and wanting to know if they ship to Canada and is there nothing to worry about the shipping process.
I would greatly appreciate your thoughts thank you.
Please subscribe to the channel and check out my latest video to watch me inbox a 4 thousand dollar item from Jomashop so you can see exactly what to expect.
I live in Alaska. So if they shipped here I wouldn’t think you would have any issues. They shipped Fed Ex and you need a signature to get them item.i chose next day shipping and got it the next day
what does it mean on the watch, Open box/non-standard problem: scratches on the back cover and bezel?
It means that the watch is new but the box was opened and it somehow got scratched in these places. Maybe by the jeweler or the manufacturer. Or it could have been a display case model. I’d consider it preowened at that point.
Got a Pelagos 39 from Jomashop it was perfect. (No Card)
Awesome! Great choice it is arguably the best sports watch on the market.
For the last 12 or so years I have purchased watches anywhere from a $200 Citizen to a $14k Rolex. All genuine and in perfect new condition. But no papers or instructions booklet. They do ship in original factory box.
Thanks for your input good to hear! I have only got two watches my Hamilton and I did but a 4K Omega seamaster which was perfect
The fact that I can purchase a watch from Joma for more than something I have to wait for is exceptable to me. For most other watches I can purchase them for far less. I'm good with Joma. I have purchsed over a dozen watches from low to high price, Never had issues.
Definitely agree iv only had good experiences since making this video I also picked up a seamaster from them
