A vampire in a turtleneck. Hysterical. SCTV was so well thought out and both slapstick and subtle in its humor.
A HOWLING vampire...
This wasn’t funny at all wtf
@thedon1570 you okay?
Sctv was one of the funniest shows of all time .
R.I.P. Joe Flaherty. You will be missed, Count Floyd. 😢
Oooow, that's Scaady, oooow
Best howler that ever howled. Thank the heavens for Canadians.
The tornado warning is so stupid I almost fell on the floor laughing.
Count Floyd was the best!
SCTV was so damn good
Andrea was truly lovely, as when she approached the professor here, she covered so many personas that it would hide, but in moments it would peek out.
I was asked a question in a meeting this week that I didn't know the answer to, but regular howling between indistinct waffling saved the day!
Floyd had a coughing spell...hilarious!!!
Dave Thomas not only did the best Bob Hope but that may be the best Thomas Edison I've ever seen.
classic camp SCTV Comedy...County Floyd is my FAV...yes a Vampire in a Turtelneck on a cheap UHF Station late night showing old B- Movie Horror and Sci Fi films...love it :)
That Venerable Electric bit was a brilliant dig at how a greedy and controlling Thomas Edison screwed over Nikola Tesla
He surely screwed over a lot of others that worked under him, where he took credit.
If I had ever seen this episode first I’d have avoided the embarrassment of learning Floyd Robertson was Count Floyd when I was in my 40s 🤦🏻♂️
I want Monster Chiller Horror Theatre to be a real show.
It would be a brother-show to Svengoolie. Between Sven and Floyd, and old Star Trek reruns, there would be no use for all the rest of broadcast T.V., which has descended into utter worthlessness.
I cancelled TV in February. I can stream baseball games online, and have RUclips when I want to see good television.
I love the tornado warning.
Yeah, that was as Trip!
I love monster chiller horror theater 🎭!
You'll be so scared you'll be...like this...
Remember watching something similar on Friday nights in the 60s. This is amazing😁
Early 70's for me...
Pittsburgh TV had a short-lived character called "Tarantula"; he was sort of a "hippie" vampire or something. He had a creepy little assistant named "Coagulus". I don't think any footage survives.
Actually, "Tarantula"'s sidekick was named "Hugo". The show was "Scream-In". I can't find any existing footage.
In San Antonio, we had "Project Terror", where the terrorizing and the horrifying and the terrifying emerge. Hosted "Uncle" Herb Booth. 60's/70's.
Awesome channel, always look forward to these!
+thaddeus mcgrath Thanks! Plenty more video to come. Stay tuned!
Anyone remember horror-host "Tarantula" and his sidekick "Coagulus" on Pittsburgh TV in the early 1970s? I don't think any footage remains.
No, Coagulus wasn't Tarantula's sidekick.
SCARY STUFF!
AAAAUUUGGGHHH!
what?
Oh... nothing, slight headache.
:)-
One of the vegetable hurlers "Up your's..." as he passes the podium...My high school should borrow this script. It's pure gold...
"Ooooohhh! - Scary!!!"
Scary stuff but mostly gut busting funny.
SCTV from the 70s! Arrrooouuughh!
background music perfect
IgnoreDonLandSpews: your little haunted head is a veritable hellscape of Drumpfian proportions
Who had a coughing spell, Floyd or Joe?
only COUNT FLOYD would HOWL like a WEREWOLF while dressed as a VAMPIRE hahahah :) classic only from SCTV Canada can You find THAT it's AMAZING stuff :)
Love those SCTV Shirts I found on google
Actually, "Tarantula"'s sidekick was named "Hugo". The show was called "Scream-In". I can't find any old footage.
I always thought Count Floyd's costume was incredibly stupid until I ran across those old French vampire movies of the '70s where they dressed the exact same way. It's still a stupid costume, but at least I know where they got the idea for it. =)

Our main concern is power.
Nightmare Theater / 11:30 PM / KIRO-TV (Seattle)!! SCTV was the best.
RIP Joe Flaherty
Is it okay that I thought the Madame Blitzman movie was actually scary?
R.I.P. Joe Flaherty
This isn’t as scary as Whisper of the Wolf
Tip O'Neill in 3D pleading for passage of his latest bill was frightening as heck.
The following morning we were married
It’s gonna happen! I believe it!
Did someone say up yours during Lewis’s academy speech?
LOL.
Count Floyd is the only vampire to howl like a werewolf.
oooooooooooooooo
Lolz
