    Sorry forgot to add no ethanol gas either or the carburetor will need frequent cleanings unless ran often or run dry buy shutting off the fuel and letting it run untill the carburetor runs out of fuel

    what are you using the engine for?

    Can you tell me the crankshaft mounting hole thread specification and depth? I need to source the correct bolt to mount a pulley.

    • @justbuilds8248
      @justbuilds8248  3 года назад

      it is a 3/4 in diameter and a bolt that's gonna work is a 5/16-24 fine thread. you can find it on fasental

      @anneonymous7737 3 года назад

      Thank you for that. I borrowed a tiller and lost the drive pulley mounting bolt. I believe the owner used a bolt that was too long and bottomed out in the shaft so it didn’t tighten the lock washer and backed itself out. I need to know the depth of that hole to ensure I get the correct replacement bolt.

      @@anneonymous7737 I mean I used this on my go kart and to hold the clutch to the engine I used a 3/4 bolt make sure it is full threaded

  • @edjones9519

    can you tell what thread and length the mounting bolts are

    • @justbuilds8248
      @justbuilds8248  3 года назад

      u mean the bolts I used to mount the engine to the frame? if so then 1/4 by 2 inches long idk the thread

    imagine putting 98 octane fuel in a go kart like this. that would make it absolutely rip

    • @justbuilds8248
      @justbuilds8248  3 года назад +1

      I put 87 octane

    • @SuperPN1

      High octane is recommended for small engines.

    I believe these engines need to be filled with oil until it reaches the lip of the hole.
