yea im done with it, dmz was fun temporarily except they increased the AI spawns and damage it does. I played yesterday and they were spawning in by 10-20 x 5-6 or more. They fucked something up, of course.
You could have the best Cod ever made gameplay wise, design wise whatever, but as long as strict SBMM is there and shining brightly the game will drop like flies. No one likes SBMM that is obvious, but Activision could give less than a shit about it, they made and make money so that's a W in their books. It's quite sad really, Cod dies after a month of release every year cause of SBMM, least recently. There is a reason that most Cods up until 2019 lasted multiple months, even mediocre games like IW and WW2 lasted longer, SBMM is 100% the problem for this.
@@publicastrationsnah i would play the multiplayer just like i used to older cods if my team and opponents weren’t hand picked by the matchmaking system to make the game play out the way activision believes will provide the most retention. my teammates did too good in their bot lobbies bc they’re also bots? put them on my team and put a 6-man or 6 players who are slightly worse than me who need a sympathy match to keep them on the game on the other team so they can stomp my team while i drop a 2.5kd still somehow but lose by 100 points in whatever gamemode i’m playing bc all of my enemies are positive and all of my teammates are 3-17
@dj Kplus of course the player count will jump when warzone releases, that doesn’t mean most people don’t care about multiplayer. Like the guy above me said SBMM killed multiplayer which is why cods die quickly now.
@@publicastrations of all the people I know who like and play CoD, very few even care about Warzone. It's all about that traditional multiplayer, and of course the campaign is always great. BUT, with SBMM nobody is even really playing multiplayer, they don't care about Warzone, the campaign is only a few hours. Everyone pretty much just playing DMZ, but once you have all the guns and unlocks, there's really no reason to keep playing that. This CoD doesn't have anything to offer for player retention except multiplayer, and SBMM ruined that. Honestly, they probably fucked multiplayer on purpose to try and force more people to try warzone to get away from SBMM, but a lot of people would rather just stop playing than have to only play warzone.
@@publicastrations it's not just warzone, it was also DMZ which was a whole new thing. Plus, they're both f2p. Removing a paywall MASSIVELY increases player count, even if a game is total shit. Also, that was like the "official launch" of the game as well, and a lot of people like to wait for bug fixes and stability patches.
True, but MP could still hold its own if the game wasn't made as an extension to Warzone. It's played out but MP still has its loyal fans, just a shame it takes a back seat nowadays. Warzone pretty much ruined Cod as a whole, SBMM is another layer on top that stops people returning to MP.

Game is definitely falling off fast. I couldnt even be bothered to play the game up until season 1 to see if things would get better. I quit about a week before season 1, yesterday I played my first 2 matches of Warzone 2.0 and have no intentions of playing it ever again. Everything from pre-season 1 told me everything I need to know about the fact that this game is just not going to be good in its entire lifecycle. Maybe one day if I see reports of them ACTUALLY listening to the community by giving us classic mini map, perk system, sound balance, GOOD MAPS, etc than maybe I'll try the game again, but until then I'm just gonna save myself the 100gb of storage space.
I play DMZ, but thats a glorified beta, multiplayer is dead except shoothouse as there is a serious lack of maps, completed the pass in a couple days. Most advanced COD ever, boring as hell...
@@oldboy2399 haven't played dmz at all, can't say I haven't been tempted but I play solo and I've heard it's really only fun if you have friends. I also heard it's mega repetitive with very little value for actually playing in the first place. Either way it just sounds like people have fun friends... not that the game is fun.
@@akaAdam7 Yeah I just started playing today, its not that much fun, just new to me, its definitely repetitive and unrewarding, unless you like grinding for calling cards....😆
Me and my friend came to the realization last night that other than continuing to level up (which isn’t prestige) and camo grinding there isn’t anything to do in the game. Calling cards are lame and challenges are basic. Almost no way to unlock emblems in game without battle pass. Nothing but Warzone to keep people coming back. We paid $70+ for a campaign and a way to level for warzone easier lmao.
@@Iisakki3000that’s stupid, you know damn well people play counter strike for the competitive aspect of the game and for those people the games actually made with that in mind. Cod is not made like that and with its basic gameplay loop there need to be more then just basic shit to do in order to help give more of a reason to play it cause right now just hitting a level cap isn’t enough motivation to play more then a few games every play session. The fact you even tried to compare a competitive shooter to a arcade “casual” shooter is kind of a joke. Call of duty has always had its progression system as one of the main systems in place to keep its playerbase interested and coming back to the game. Always. You can literally go back and look at the og MW2 and see the same shit where there’s tons of things to do that vary in difficulty.
I said a similar thing to my friend about DMZ. We both had fun in it but after a few games I was thinking, what's the point? Once you have a 3 plate carrier and a large backpack, you basically completed the game because there is no reason to keep going. You don't collect items in game for challenges or to hand in for quests, there is no reason to bring out guns because the insurance slot is so forgiving and after you play it like 5 times it just gets very boring
If Verdansk dropped in Warzone right now, WZ 2.0 would turn into a ghost town overnight. That's why Rebirth and Fortunes Keep were stripped from Warzone. Activision knew that WZ 2.0 isn't even close to being as good of a game as the original so they had to rebrand it as Warzone Caldera.
Keep in mind that in 2019 they started banning people from the Reddit if they complained about SBMM. I'm sure their moderation is part of the reason there's no conversation happening.
Ahh, the classic earplug move, I wonder if we all took a day or a week off, all the adults. Would that get the message across? I for one won't be playing call of duty 2077 but that's me.
Feels like each year the game dies faster and faster. Hopefully they see this and maybe add more than one map...shit is ridiculous at this point how little we get at launch.
Yh that’s just your boredom buddy …nothing to do with the game 💀…you call of duty fans always complain about something no matter how good the game is 💀
@@Andre-im7eq how much does activision pay you to defend their game online? Or do you do this for free? And if the call of duty fans are the ones complaining, then who tf are you, Andre?
Due to sbmm, I frequently see the same players in 6v6 matches. I only play tdm, kill confirmed and domination, and if I play a few games consistently I'm guaranteed to run into the same names pretty often. Either nobody is playing multiplayer or the sbmm is continually putting me against the same players. Another problem caused by sbmm probably.
That's what happened to me in mw 2019. I only played the same people day after day because the player base started dropping and sbmm prevented me from seeing anyone else. Made matchmaking take even longer
I was falsely banned for the 1st week of release. It was a dev error and i made the mistake of hitting the scan and repair button. So i appealed and was denied. A week later the ban was removed and i was finally able to play. No email, apologies or nothing.
I do good 2 games in a row then for 8-10 matches I get kicked into the dirt by crouching tiger hidden dragon players. It’s no different than being in an abusive relationship. You keep expecting to get treated right but YOU KNOW it won’t change yet you still stick around. So it’s not surprising that people are dropping like flies. GOOD.
Considering the number of people that bought the Game, were a month in and I've run into the same players a few times, even with sbmm. And that is worrying. Statistically, I probably shouldn't ever see the same player twice.
@@calebbundy787 Nah, not even that excuse works. When someone that has the same name and numbers keeps being placed against me, somethings wrong. Everything I start doing good, the same sweat I've seen 2 matches ago shows up to change that.
On twitter they said they were working on the match making to keep people playing against the same people a little more bc none like lobbies coming apart
I hope the player retention keeps going down. Nothing else will send a message. I wish another game was available out there similar to this without all the BS.
@@Gam3rC4m Haven't played in a while but I think Warface still has a active playerbase. Though gameplay is clunkier than any of Bethesda Game Studio's games all combined. Also I get better match connections in WF and Rogue Company, though that one doesn't have free for all.
Insurgency: Sandstorm, BF2042 (DICE/EA have been working on it, it's pretty decent now), and I enjoy going back to Halo MCC. Those are 3 fps games, otherwise there's plenty of tps and non-shooter games that are good.
I have fun with the game, but they need to stop the manipulation in the lobbies cause sometimes when I shoot at someone they survive all 4 hits from an ak.
yup. 74u should be a 3 shot kill at 40 meters. At 2.0+KD i noticed it taking 4-5 shots point blank. Everything is Skill based. Just promotes people tanking their rating.
Friendly reminder that they don't care if a main game is dying now since they put effort into Warzone. Honestly we all knew MW2 was going to be a cash grab for Warzone II that we don't give a fuck about. But the problem is they don't even put effort into Warzone II and it keeps crashing or is worse "gameplay wise" than Warzone 1, how ? 💀 3000 devs and 3 years and you can't even get your main attraction work correctly 💀 Knowing they killed the traditionnal 6v6 for this is incredible.
It's sad honestly. I'm going to miss the times I had playing bo3 and MWR 2016. Those game were the last times I had true fun in 6v6 pub matches. I wish I could've been this age (17) back in the mw2 days so I could've experienced the masterpieces that those games were.

@@calebbundy787 fun fact, MWR is still active (dom, tdm, usually a ffa lobby as well, sometimes gun game) if you are on PS4 at least so you can still go back for now. I remember that I got locked out of MW2 multiplayer years ago by a hacker and I just started crying as I had no idea what happened. At least I still had BO1 to play, I never got hacked there. Hell, I still remember a particular game of MW2 for crying out loud, I was on Afghan, my team was getting beat in a tdm game 60-65. I had just spawned in that garden part outside of the seconday cave while the enemies were all bunched up in the main cave and cliff. Suddenly I hear Ghost letting me know that an enemy care package is incoming. It was a bloody Chopper Gunner or the AC-130, I dont recall exactly which. There were 2 or 3 enemies looking straight at the cliff that finally realised what was going on, I took out one, the other one got me, at that point it didnt fucking matter anyway, I had the mighty chopper and was about to come for them. I vividly remember the first 4 months of MW2019’s release. When the game released in late October, I was watching people play it here on YT and stream it on Twitch. Most people wrapped up the campaign within the first week. After about week and a half to two weeks later… it was tossed to the side to collect digital dust. The only thing to look forward to was an overhyped Warzone BR that didn’t arrive until March. So what was left to experience? Multiplayer…a very flawed multiplayer that hardly had any content at the time. Co-op was another joke that also had a lackluster amount of content. People started to go back to BO4’s multiplayer and Blackout because the rest of the game seriously wasn’t worth sinking your teeth into it. Once Warzone arrived, it significantly increased activity mostly because of how hyped up it was and the waves of content creators / streamers that were playing it. Personally, Warzone also didn’t take long to feel like a boring swirl of bs because if you’ve been playing BR games since H1Z1, Warzone quickly felt like a “been there, done that” type of experience. However, Warzone was obviously the one gamemode that helped keep MW2019 relevant and alive for 2+ years. Fast forward to 2022 and we have Joe Cecot’s MWII Part 2: The Sequel. Once again, multilayer is smeared with issues, some of its issues are significantly worse than MW2019 and some of them are the exact same problems from 2+ years ago. Just like MW2019, it didn’t take long for the campaign to be quickly wrapped up and tossed to the side. It’s also not that impressive if you’ve played the campaigns of the OG MW trilogy and watched a movie like Sicario lol. Warzone 2.0 is…well…just an updated Warzone. It’s not really a “new” experience like it was for MW2019. Activision/Infinity Ward knew this so what did they do? They decided to make another overhyped game mode that was solely meant to attract attention and curiosity: DMZ. Once again it didn’t take long for people to realise that DMZ is pretty much Plunder 2.0 with some changes. I’m not at all surprised that this game is already losing activity. *TLDR* for the folks that have an attention span of a fly and were terrified of being called to read a paragraph aloud in school: MWII is Joe Cecot’s updated swirl of bs that was double fried in the same gutter oil they used for MW2019
@@effortlessGFX tl;dr: MWII is just an update to MW (2019). From the ineptly designed multiplayer to the overhyped battle royale mode, its just more of the same.
I have a 2.0 k/d and whenever I play I lag out my ass even with 10-20 latency I'll shoot someone with a shotgun and my aim will go way the fuck up into the universe and I'll get killed. This game punishes you for being good at it. Whenever I play with my girlfriend she is not lagging and the game is just so smooth but when I start to pop off all of a sudden I got rubber banding issues and my shots aren't hitting this game is so fucked
MW2 has to be using the same audio engine as apex, cause footsteps behave the same way in that game where you hear someone in your head that's below or above you, but next to you, its rare to hear them.
The maps are so depressing and I’m sick of it. The only good maps are shoot house, farm, las Alma’s, crown raceway, and the border map. Other than that I back out instantly. Something about the map design / concepts turns me off.
This game is boring af. Every match is exactly the same they want everyone to have a 1KD so noobs aren’t butt hurt and they’ll literally ruin a hardcore CoD veterans experience like myself to do it. Sbmm hit reg, sbmm footsteps, lag comp out the butt. Ridiculous weapon leveling. I hate this game in its current state. So much potential and they went out of their way to make it unenjoyable
Tbh I just feel like I'm over COD, which as someone who has been a diehard COD fan since COD4, makes me kind of sad...but I've just been let down too many fucking times, man. This game just isn't very fun to me and I've just sort of given up hope for the franchise to ever return to the glory days.
@@Retotion I don't know either 😂 Most likely cause I gave up on Cold War and Vanguard after a month or so after launch. MW2019 was bad, but it was atleast somewhat playable. Speaking of WAW, I wish so badly that there game modes other than TDM was populated, cause I'd be playing that for sure.
Cod4 vet here too. I stopped at black ops and didn’t play again until ww2 which also sucked. Played mw2019 and had some fun but sbmm keeps me from enjoying it too much to bother buying another cod
I spent a few hours endlessly queing up for a BR Solos match last night and couldn't get into a lobby at all. That's mad when you consider that it was a Friday night and Warzone 2.0 has been out for less than a month. I only bought MWII because I was bored and I figured it couldn't be THAT bad but hot damn this game dying a quick death would bring me joy.
BT wasnt BO2 $50 and this new MW2 is $70? If so their actually making $20 more per copy sold. Which to me makes it even worse that they are bragging about making more money than a game that came out 10 years ago while charging more for the game.
I’m in my late 20’s and mostly play weekends or sometimes after work when I have time. Yesterday I tried to play four times and got put in the most sweaty lobbies you can think of. I legit can’t play anymore, every time I see multiplayer I legit start getting stressed before I even look for a match.
It's so inconsistent, and that's everything, the audio, the hit detection. I am running at 4k 140-160fps average with less than 30 ping and I have character pop in right in front of my face, or I'm getting shot from the front without seeing what's happening until I'm already dead. I can never tell if someone is using dead silence or not, because I can't hear half the poeple walking up on me or the direction and my dead silence doesn't seem to work.
*If We wanted “Battle Royale” we would just play Fortnite.* We don’t want that, that’s why more Free Players are there because nobody is buying the game for that mode. *COD needs to go back to what they were known for, then we will put more money into the franchise.* more than the billion, most of which bought the game because of nostalgia, “Modern Warfare” look at how Vanguard undersold.
Not surprised. It's interesting what happens when one ignores all feedback from the streamers, casuals, uber sweats, and the codsuckers all at once and making the game literally for no one at all besides Joseph's wife Doora. Gotta love this era of "fuck the consumer" going on in what seems like every crack of the corporate world.

If you wanna have an easier time reading spawns and finding people, just go tp where your teammates aren't on a map. It's still not that good and the spawn system still sucks bad, but its better than nothing.
Revenue means nothing. You have to look at gross margin. Revenue can be millions higher from a prior game. However, cost of good sold if more now than another game is higher, it would mean that the current game is not as profitable as the prior games. Throwing Revenue numbers out as a metric is an illusion. Plus the 10.00 more per unit is huge when it comes to comparing old and new titles. You have to back that incremental Revenue out of their projection to compare apples to apples.
I was critical of your past videos on MW2 but dude..I 100% agree with you now. It’s sad..I still think MP is hopeless these days but with as much as they red vined the entire community about this game it all should have been done so much better.
Well guess what? When you release a buggy, unfinished game that is missing playlists (hardcore) that have been around for years and years, while also having no good challenges to go for in the game, on top of SBMM making half your matches miserable, the games going to die early without new content releases... sad stuff really
I can add some insights to DMZ and Warzone in terms of some bugs that I've experienced. - In DMZ, when doing a hostage contract - most of the time - your movement will be permanently reduced to that value you have when carrying the hostage towards the helicopter. - In Warzone II, when using the intel machine, there's no way to cancel the animation, so if someone Air Strikes you, you can't cancel the animation. (Technically not a bug, but still worth mentioning) - In DMZ, when doing the HVT contracts, there is a chance of the HVT spawning in the walls, making you unable to kill it and unable to take any other contracts - In DMZ, I've noticed a fair share of AI flying in the air, as well as players lagging around due to server Desync and server lag. In short, DMZ is as much of a disaster as everything else that has to do with Modern Warfare, Roman Numeral two, twentytwentytwo, electric boogaloo, it's doorbin' time, José Cecot's CBT and Sex Dungeon, Create a class Solitaire edition, deluxe omega unfinished beta edition.
Bro, I THOUGHT I felt like I was slow as fuck for that whole mission. My movement just felt off after doing that hostage contract. I thought it was something to do with my gun. I had an SMG, but felt like was running with an LMG.
DMZ Bugs I found on my travels through the Gluck Gluck warfare is this. -Horrible desync to the point I thought my GD computer was the problem, turns out it is a COD Dev Skill issue. - Had the Juggernaut fuckin spawn in a Stronghold, which ruined the run as we wanted to get that shit done, cause what else's is there to do besides revenge kill the chemist for all the painful runs. -Exfil Chopper hung for a little while after the countdown, while carrying the special yellow crate thing. Which got my team's asshole blown out worse than a semi-truck hitting a cheerio. Won't touch can't touch it ever again, because I strongly believe personally that they intentionally want to slave you into playing the game. No longer a passion project hasn't been one for some time, but that's my opinion sorry if you like the game I cannot.
Ima be honest with you BT I can deal with all the bs this game has to “NOT!!! OFFER!” 😂😭 but what really ruins it for me is these maps where you have to constantly look from a 100 different angles, big ass spawn zones that you have to go so far to get back in the action & much more. The maps are the primary killer for this game in my opinion followed after by the horrible perk package system, loud inconsistent foot steps & no dead silence perk.😒
Tbh only been playing DMZ with the occasional gamebattles match in between. DMZ is actually the best of both worlds between spec ops and WZ and i’m really enjoying it. As someone who hates WZ it surprises me how much DMZ feels good and just works as kinda the best mode of MW2 as a whole. IMO i think DMZ is the biggest selling point of MW2. Multiplayer needs way more content and a less strict SBMM for it to be even near worth 70+ dollars. Spec ops is good but we need more of it. OG MW2 had like 5 different tiers of mission sets that had at least 5+ per tier. I understand why they didn’t go hard on it after the reception of 2019 spec ops but damn man yall have something here if you add to it. I’m actually genuinely excited for the raid because the pve content is good. Still should have been there at launch tho, shit’s frustrating that i’m confined to literally only one mode that’s fun because everything else in game is boring rn. All love to DMZ but damn i wish i could play some other modes too bro
I feel everything you said tbh I’ve got 4 days playtime and I really only enjoyed the game for the first 2 and half days with camo grinding after that it legitimately got depressing playing this game felt like I was forcing myself to play the game because I paid out for it instead of actually playing to have fun there’s also always that one sweat who runs around constantly with a 74u or fennec and the fact it’s a brand new game and I’m supposed to enjoy the new maps but I’d rather play shoothouse because it’s the only map that carries any kind of pace from 2019 mw the normal maps are just all slow and trashy
The only thing impressive about this game is the algorithms they use to fuck it all entirely. Quite impressive. I'm a seasoned COD player since COD4. The spawn system in this game is literally out of this world impressive. If you are a decent player and proceed to go on killstreaks frequently, once that occasional, unfortunate death happens, the game recognizes a skilled player and will either spawn you across the map away from your team or right in front of an enemy, multiple times. Most times both together. The maps have steadily regressed each year becoming worse and worse. Nothing but LOS "hallways" with no real options to flank unless you want to run down another LOS "hallway" that enemy #2 is camping. Maps just don't feel the same. Weird abstract bullshit pulled from Al Mazrah. Then the next game SBMM kicks in and it points out these flaws even more. I had high hopes for this game to be a turn around for COD but LOL at this shitfire. Fuck us life long fans right? We need more new players who can jump straight in and be rewarded for participating. In reality, it's just as bad for the new players as it is for seasoned players. By the time these "new" players get good they will realize these same issues. Another problem with this game is having one foot in the arcade-shooter door and the other in trying to be realistic/competitive but I won't dive into that.
Also “most profitable” also factors in costs if they’re using the definition of profit as known by literally everyone. Profit as in money made after costs have been covered. It could even just mean that they got the best return on the money they invested in the project. It means they spent as little as possible and gouged as much money as possible so that they made back a larger percentage of their money. That has nothing directly to do with quality or sales numbers, it has to do with how much money they got out vs how much they put in. And they might not even be saying that base on total money profited, it could just be based off of percentage profited. Regardless that metric means nothing because there are just so many ways of messing with the numbers to make them look favourable.
You should try out plutonium man it’s great, better and more populated servers, far less cheaters and it stays true to the vanilla game it’s a good time and it has bo2 and mw2
I’ve gone back to Halo Infinite of all games recently. The most recent update for it gave you the option to exclusively play on local servers which has the welcomed side effect of SBMM being all but removed. It’s nice to play a game that rewards you for being good at it for a change.
No one cares any more because they showed us they won’t listen to us. Everyone was writing whole books and essays to MW2 and they didn’t change anything to appeal to their core fans so why should we care… I seriously believe compare to all the recents CODs CW was incredible underrated I keep going back to it every time I get bored of how slow MW2 is… Also the CDL league started yesterday it had around 100k ppl live but it was a shit show you should look into the drama w Optic, this game is the reason Scump might retire mid season lol
BT…… Idk what to say anymore dog. I’m a warzone guy. The skill gap and everything has been destroyed. Your videos are major reliefs for me because I’m legitimately not playing at all anymore. I had faith but it’s long gone now.
anyone one else ever play MP and the guy in front of you looks to have your team's color above their head, then they kill you because it 3as really the enemy? This happened a few times to me, I see they guy but I don't shoot because he has the color of my teammate, all of a sudden he kills me and over his head is red for the other team. or I am just blind.
Happens to me all the time, just thought it was my teammates being behind them. 1 billion dollars and they can't figure out how to make enemies the priority in an fps...
Also, almost every single comment and post on the mw2 subreddit is straight complaints. You’d think it’d be like other popular game subreddits, where some people will complain about bugs on launch, but mostly people would still be having fun. The fact is, though, everybody is complaining. It’s so so so sad.
I've uninstalled the game a week ago. The SBMM is do bad to the point I am getting put in low connection matches and the amount of sweats I have to play through to even experience multiplayer. So I decided enough is enough and deleted the game. Won't be installing it ever again. I'm done with it.
My largest gripe with this game (apart from my lobbies being full of people over lvl 100 when I'm 30) is that literally every game I play nobody speaks English, it kinda takes the multiplayer aspect out of the game for me as it just feels like I'm playing by myself.
You can see the player count for steam on steamcharts, granted that's only the player base for steam, but it's fair to say that if it's declining on steam, it's probably declining on other platforms. When MWII launched, it had a player count of 248,000, which dropped to just over 150,000 the day before Warzone 2 came out, then it spiked up to 488,000 when Warzone2 came out, and it is now back down to around 250,000. Which I'm shocked not many people are talking about that. Losing over 200,000 players one one platform is a pretty big drop.
I have mw2019 and mw2; I prefer 2019. The current version of 2019 is a better game than 2019 or mw2 at launch. I'd be interested in seeing you compare 2019 and 2 at their launches and in their current states. I think it would reflect poorly on infinite ward in all aspects
@@murderman8578 in a lot of ways but it comes down to movement for me, and the maps are a huge part of it to. I'm not saying 2019s maps are great. To be fair, I do prefer 2019s later maps much better than it's earlier maps so the same might be true of mw2
@@murderman8578 or did you mean how would it reflect poorly on them? In that case, it would be that they didn't learn the right lessons from 2019. MW2 is not definitively superior to 2019, and it really should be
I blame the SBMM I've seen WAY more people complain about sweaty lobbies and not enjoying themselves which SBMM is much more aggressive now. People tried it and quit or sunk some time into it cause they spent the money and enjoy COD but after a while probably just got sick of the lobbies/bugs/lag. Also price hike, less freedom with attachments because of the emphasis on weapon stats mainly ADS time, you almost HAVE TO follow meta with minimal attachments and only 1-5 "usable" ones without ruining your build. I've seen many complain about the way perks are handled, the perk "bundles" make it a hassle to manage them sometimes. Game forces you to use weapons you may not like or are good with to unlock guns/attachments you do want. Most maps are shit. Gunplay is much more intricate compared to older titles.
Honestly it doesn't matter. They already sold enough copies to be happy. Unless they miss some metrics on post game seasonal sales, actually player count and engagement is likely irrelevant to them. So they will keep making this game like sports game release, minor tweaks with minimal innovation. And likely annoyances for long time players. At least until the franchise eventually dies.
I'm not sure the drop down is related what I experienced . At some point I feel like they tuned up sbmm . First 3 weeks sbmm wasn't as thick as now , so now I just don't play that often .
I mean I could whole be wrong but I think the only people that could fix this is sledge hammer. You can shit on them but they did clean up around the later end of Ww2 cycle it was decent and I liked it’s league play it was entertaining to watch
@@Malam_NightYoru yea I’ve heard that, mainly why I didn’t want to say their name. They also had to clean up the mess that was vanguard. I feel bad for them cause if not for them cod probably would have fallen. They carry this god damn game.
My friends and I feel the same way about the game being pretty dead and WZ2 is just boring. Proxy chat is fun but that's about it. SBMM has played a big role in our enjoyment too. Years ago people would be happy they were doing well in a match and now people kinda dread it because they know the next games they are going to be put in are going to be rough. Makes it harder to level a shitty weapon too, like the JOKR. Getting that gold so I could play my rpg was beyond annoying. The lack of good season 1 content is killing it too. Everyone is bored of the maps. They need to give us some remastered maps soon or something. Maybe even blitz mode fuck it lmao. That was the only way I had fun on Vanguard and I think this game could benefit from it or even a 10v10 mode.
@@checkherkoolchick Thats what I did! The JOKR took forever. A lot of domination & hardpoint and luck lol. Getting Plat for the RPG was pretty difficult too because it takes 3 rockets for vehicles and if u don't get rhe last hit it doesn't count. So I had to melee some vehicles while they were abt to explode to make it count.
A simple search “activision cod patent” reveals that it’s not a conspiracy. They actually use as an example the fact that they build a parameter for accuracy which is according to skill. So a higher skill player actually has the parameters of their aim reduced. The game makes it harder for them to hit their shots. They can do it through recoil, aim sway, reticle position, reticle restabilization and even damage per bullet being needed to name a few. Without a doubt this is in the game. Call of duty decides if you win, they decide if you do good and go on a streak or not. Stop playing and stop supporting the game, stop buying anything from them. That’s the only way. Rip cod.
I know I'm probably just being too wishful but I think MW2 might actually be the first game where they significantly tone down the SBMM, especially if Warzone 2 begins failing to a degree. I just do not see this franchise being sustainable with a matchmaking system so bad that even lesser-skilled players are vocal against it. This matchmaking system is 100% catered to usher in quick spenders and shoe them away when they quit forking over cash. The player turnover rate must be insane.
Another data that u can take seriously is the number of the creators doin videos on this game At the launch the numbers were really good and right now the videos ain't popping no more on the home of RUclips Again, another cod dead after 1 month 💀
Yo BT, great video as always. There is one actual metric that we have to track the player count. Since the game is on steam, Steam charts (not Activision, shocker isn’t it?) can actually give us concrete numbers for the first time in years. Of course it’s not the most accessible (and definitely Activision is inflating the numbers so damn much). Maybe that can help throughout the cycle to see how good or shit MW 2022 2 doors 1 camper is doing. Great video as always
@@publicastrations Oh yes I completely agree. According to the chart, there was about 150k players on launched, which then doubled once S1/WZ 2 came out. So it is more than possible over half of all concurrent players are on WZ rather than MW II
I tried to post 3 times in the MW2 subreddit and they were deleted by auto moderator because the posts weren’t long enough. Even Reddit SBMM shut me down in a sweat lobby.
That is great news, this SBMM needs to stop, just so lobbies don’t disband. As much as I hate to admit it I’m enjoying this CoD, only played maybe 20 games at this point, all I play is FFA. I’m probably not good enough for SBMM to really screw me, but the social interaction is weird now. The only people that talk are just saying how great they are and how we all suck. Speaking to them is like talking to a wall. That’s always been a thing but it’s amplified now. On WWII I can easily chat with more people in a civil way. But as far as the movement and shooting mechanics it’s awesome. I thought the last 3 games sucked but this one gets it right.
I said this to my friend group from the start of this game when all of the design choices became prevalent that Activision better expect substantially less cosmetic sales from the in-game store. This game just caters to the lowest skilled players and it makes it feel so boring to play. The dumbest thing is that casual players naturally don’t play the game for very long. Imagine creating a product that already has a massive consumer market and then completely shitting on that loyal market for the potential to attract new costumers that would never be loyal to the product.
Facts they need to crash and burn for them to get the message I’m not playing this for 2 years I’m sorry🤣 barley any maps and then the maps we do get are remakes and we supposed to be satisfied they should be sued for this bull
imagine how us sweats feel. game thinks im literally an optic champion every single game and im only level 50 playing against 200+ lvl players. and i literally have only 1.04 kd cause the SBMM is shitting down my throat constantly trying to keep me at 1 kd strictly. its fcking insane bro. they dont just collect data on your matches, they also collect data on your movement, aim, accuracy and anything else you can imagine and pit you against matches in a PREDETERMINED way so you either win or lose cause the AI said so.
MW2019 really did feel like a military shooter. Special Forces, deep meanings behind the camp gain, the maps and guns felt gritty, but MWII feels like just another COD. The colours, fonts, and menu designs all feel corporate and it feels like you’re looking at one big ad. Whereas in the 2009 MW2, the smokey background with the technical sound effects really mad you feel like you are a special forces soldier. I mean, you’ve got ghost wearing bright blue jeans for gods sake!
I noticed the guns in this game don't sound as realistic at least some of them. The AK for instance I have a ZPAP IRL and it sounds nothing like it in semi-auto in game. In 2019 while still off a little, sounds closer to what mine does.
Loaded into DMZ last night. Picked up a Bounty, me and my team were chasing the bounty to the edge of the map. Turns out we were chasing a ghost as we were right on top of bounty at edge of map with no buildings and noone was there. Anyone else relate? There was a zero possibility we didn't see him btw. It was a desert location and we searched every possible local without a single sighting of said bounty.
It’s good in my opinion the game is dying, maybe they will realize the last 4 years have been just getting worse every year. I doubt they will make it any better that is just how it is now. I didnt want to lose hope but it’s time to start finally going to a different game. I went to a pawn shop and the frekin workers where selling vanguard for free because no one wanted it 😂
What I find hilarious is on Steam its labeled "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II | Warzone 2.0" right? They combined the two games into one on Steam so that we can't see the multiplayer numbers by themselves via Steam Charts 🤣 but even then this month alone has only seen an increase of 4000 players, I expect that number to turn into a big fat fucking red negative by next month. They can't hide the numbers from us this year.
Are you guys already done with MWII as well? Game is fucking BOARING.
It feels like SLEEPING is more eventful than playing MW2.
yea im done with it, dmz was fun temporarily except they increased the AI spawns and damage it does. I played yesterday and they were spawning in by 10-20 x 5-6 or more. They fucked something up, of course.
Haven't even bought MWII been playing the fuck outta god of war ragnarok that game is a masterpiece

I quit about a week before season 1, yesterday I played my first 2 matches of Warzone 2.0 and have no intentions of playing it ever again. Everything from pre-season 1 told me everything I need to know about the fact that this game is just not going to be good in its entire lifecycle. Calling cards are lame and challenges are basic. Almost no way to unlock emblems in game without battle pass.

By that logic cs go players only play it to get cases to unbox.

So I just want to say I' am proud of myself , It is December and I still have not played or bought this game. Feel better BT!.

I spent a few hours endlessly queing up for a BR Solos match last night and couldn't get into a lobby at all. I only bought MWII because I was bored and I figured it couldn't be THAT bad but hot damn this game dying a quick death would bring me joy.
Cod needs competition. That's the only way they'll improve the game.
BT wasnt BO2 $50 and this new MW2 is $70? If so their actually making $20 more per copy sold. Which to me makes it even worse that they are bragging about making more money than a game that came out 10 years ago while charging more for the game.

Gotta love this era of "fuck the consumer" going on in what seems like every crack of the corporate world.

I'm literally bouta go back to bo4 and just ditch the mw2 camo grind
Im doing both to my dismay
Maybe it is time to stop if the camo grind is literally the only reason you are playing lol.
Yo him getting teabagged while yelling about the audio was so damn funny bro💀
(Technically not a bug, but still worth mentioning)
- In DMZ, when doing the HVT contracts, there is a chance of the HVT spawning in the walls, making you unable to kill it and unable to take any other contracts
- In DMZ, I've noticed a fair share of AI flying in the air, as well as players lagging around due to server Desync and server lag.
Stud muffin sounds like not eight thoughts
I feel the pain
In dmz i had to take a hostage up a ladder to a chopper on the roof, lol you cant climb ladder with a hostage on your back lol
Another problem with this game is having one foot in the arcade-shooter door and the other in trying to be realistic/competitive but I won't dive into that.
im so glad im done buying cods until the devs retire

You the man BT😂 dropping truthbombs on the daily man keep it up!
Glad to hear you're feeling better brotha, more fresh air never hurts
Sticking with OG MW2 and BO2. My friends and I have still enjoy playing it on Steam.

My largest gripe with this game (apart from my lobbies being full of people over lvl 100 when I'm 30) is that literally every game I play nobody speaks English, it kinda takes the multiplayer aspect out of the game for me as it just feels like I'm playing by myself.
yeah its true! its hard to believe that call of duty vanguard is ACTUALLY more popular than this!

Rip cod.
Everything you said is true I just wish I could get my money back guess I was a stupid for falling for there lies
I just like playing the game with friends and bots, playing real players is hard and annoying
BT you need to check steam charts for player data. Also Xbox live has stats as well for top played games
Another data that u can take seriously is the number of the creators doin videos on this game
At the launch the numbers were really good and right now the videos ain't popping no more on the home of RUclips
Again, another cod dead after 1 month 💀
Yo BT, great video as always. There is one actual metric that we have to track the player count. Since the game is on steam, Steam charts (not Activision, shocker isn’t it?) can actually give us concrete numbers for the first time in years. Of course it’s not the most accessible (and definitely Activision is inflating the numbers so damn much). Maybe that can help throughout the cycle to see how good or shit MW 2022 2 doors 1 camper is doing. Great video as always
@dj Kplus most is definitely for Warzone. They already have like 30 million unique played on Warzone.
That footstep part was killing me 😂😂
@@checkherkoolchick 😂😂 Legit laughed so hard, BT is a goat 🐐
Mw2019 is the reason the franchise is so shit now, that along with warzone, cod even in its worst state was still more fun before mw2019 came out.
I just want a survival mode, where I can pick whatever gun and lvl it up. Last year vanguard didn't scratch that zombies itch enough
MW19 followed by the release of Verdansk was the greatest thing in COD History. period!!
MW2 & WZ2 is dead already after a couple of weeks!
It’s good in my opinion the game is dying, maybe they will realize the last 4 years have been just getting worse every year. I doubt they will make it any better that is just how it is now. I didnt want to lose hope but it’s time to start finally going to a different game. I went to a pawn shop and the frekin workers where selling vanguard for free because no one wanted it 😂
Worst mistake they did was not release a resurgence mode from the jump of season 1. No one wants to sit around looting and hiding for 40 minutes
They can't hide the numbers from us this year.
a group of people in a discord server I know praises mw2 and then a few weeks later they stopped playing it I wonder why
They showed the numbers in depth on Black Ops III
