Omgg That helped alot thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you very very very very much
I'm a real beginner teaching myself from RUclips and your video has been like a little golden nugget that is safely stored on my "Crochet - Frequent Referral" playlist as well as the general crochet one. Thank you very much.
Thank you Bella, what a fabulous solution! I just couldn’t bare to undo my very long chain again and was ready to abandon my project😬😂 But, your video saved the day⭐️⭐️
Omg! Thank you! This is awesome. Frogging sucks. I'm fairly new to crocheting and keep having to frog because the count is off and can't just get into the groove of crocheting, where I get to just zone out and relax. Great tip.
Thank you so much! I have been trying out new stiches lately and I often have either a couple too many, or I can't finish the pattern. Now I won't have to start over!!
Thank you Bella for this tip! I have been crocheting for over 50 years and did not know this tip. Thanks again & Merry Christmas to you & your family! 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
Thank you so very much! This would have saved me so much time and frustration had I known this years ago. Thank you so much you have greatly helped me. I will be using this technique from now on when this happens.
Thank God for this tutorial!!! I am a new beginner crochetr. I've had to start over on this project 5 times! I still haven't figured out where and what mistake I keep doing to get the wrong number of chains/ stitches.... Buttttt right now, it's where it's supposed to be -simply because I came accross your tutorial and deleted some chains.❤❤❤
I wish I'd thought of looking for this before I had undone and redone my foundation row and chain for a blanket ! about 5x. I was getting so tired of counting stitches over and over even though I used markers every 20 sts. Nightmare! Thank you so much for this!
Now that was one great tip to remember there is times when you need to do things like and you don't know how thank you Sarah-jane I will keep that in mind 😊 great one ❤❤❤
Handy trick! Already shared to my daughter! I could have used this last week. I was freehanding a skirt, and got the waist two pattern repeats too large. I had to pull it out and start over.
I remember when I was so annoyed that I had to unravel my super long first row two times because I didn't had the correct length and then I ditched that project. Now I can go back to it. Thank you for sharing this tip! Merry Christmas! 🎄
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I wish I had known about this when I started my stash busting blanket I accidentally had three extra chains. Happy holidays from Mexico City
Thank you so much!! That was so simple I feel a little foolish not having considered it myself. Lol... I guess some solutions are just too simple for us to see. You're a project saver!! ❤
You're welcome 😊 In order to be able to do this, your foundation chain would need to be flat, i.e. not joined in the round. If you find you have the wrong number of chains in this case, you would need to undo the slip stitch and then adjust it.
What's the best way to learn Crochet? I have been doing my chain stitch over and over again I am trying to get it perfect am I doing this right I am a Newbie
Hello. Thank you for this really helpful video. Would you be able to help me with this: what if in a pattern with bobbles where I've added some hdc in between bobbles and I notice that I've added an additional bobble and realise it too late as I've already worked on a lot of rows like in a sweater!! Is there a way to undo the bobble without ripping it all out and redoing it? Do let me know. Waiting for an early reply
You’re welcome 😊 I don’t think I would be tempted to try and undo one bobble as this would risk all of your hard work coming undone. As bobbles are worked on the wrong side (so that they push out onto the correct side of the work) could you try and poke it through so that it shows on the inside instead?
I was Crocheting my very first cardigan and I made 68 hdc st in each row ( I made a total of 35 rows) and realized that I added A LOT OF EXTRA CENTIMETERS... Like I made a lot of extra chins I the foundation chain so everything went wrong, Pls help... Idk what to do 😭😭
I'm really sorry but if you've already worked a lot of rows there's not much you can do except to pull it out and start again! Fingers crossed you get it right next time; remember to use stitch markers to help you! :)
@@bellacococrochet no issues... I made it all over again the sleeves r remaining but I'm short on yarn, it's on the way and I hope it turns out well Ps- this tutorial really helped me in my second attempt of cardigan
As you've already worked five rows I'll assume that you have too many chain stitches, in which case you can unpick those in exactly the same way as shown 😊 Unfortunately if you're too short of stitches then I think you'll have to frog back to row one 🙈
I think the foundation chain can be the trickiest part of crocheting! Hopefully with this tutorial you’ve found it easy to add or take away some chains to give you the correct number 😊
Thank you for this. There have been soo many times I've had to frog and start over because I didn't know about this technique.
You are very welcome :)

If i had known this before, crocheting the needed chains would have been a breeze. Thanks bunches for this very helpful technique.✔
I've used the decrease before, but I didn't think of the increase. From now on it'll save me a lot of time 😊
👍 :)
That's what's put me off doing things with long chains. So thank you. Xx

Perfect! Just started a blanket and two chains too many! Saving this to my library for future reminders!
Glad it helped :)
Cool too. Just used it. Although I had a small tail I was able to add two stitches I was short off after thinking I had chained 124❤
It seems so obvious to do but I never thought of it. Saved me from having to frog the foundation for a massive blanket.
Glad it was helpful :)

is there any good trick for keeping the edge of my work straight all the time
Hi Line I have a tutorial giving tips on how to keep a straight edge, here is the link:- ruclips.net/video/YA46KLsg9LM/видео.html I hope this helps :)
Brilliant!
Thank you :)
Does this work in the middle of projects?
This only works to correct the initial foundation chain 😊
@@bellacococrochet ah damn thank you for the response anyway 😊
how many chains for full size crochet blanket
This would depend on the yarn you are using, your hook size and your personal tension. Just chain until you get to the size you want :)

What happens when you notice it and your like five rows deep 😅😅😅 any help would be appreciated please
As you've already worked five rows I'll assume that you have too many chain stitches, in which case you can unpick those in exactly the same way as shown 😊 Unfortunately if you're too short of stitches then I think you'll have to frog back to row one 🙈
I’m here because I have just frogged a foundation chain FOUR times as I can’t seem to get the count right.
I think the foundation chain can be the trickiest part of crocheting! Hopefully with this tutorial you’ve found it easy to add or take away some chains to give you the correct number 😊
