Hey, just want to spread the love. If someone doesn't appreciate a gift because they think it's cheap, they've lost the meaning behind gift giving as a whole. Handmade gifts are what people really hold onto when they look back later in life, not some fancy store bought trinket. Someone made my dad a blanket when he was sick. When he passed, my oldest child got attached to it. He doesn't sleep with it anymore, but it's still there in his room waiting for him to grab it and take a minute to remember. When he has kids, he plans to pass it down. All because someone took the time to make a blanket by hand. Your friends and family are lucky to have someone who loves them enough to make them a memory they can hold.

Speaking for myself, I much prefer a hand-made gift over a store-bought one. And the more dorky, quirky, funny or pun-y, the better! A gift's 'value' is about your friendship, not how much it costs.
No, crochet for sale is completely unsustainable. It's hard on your body if you do too much (carpal tunnel, etc) and almost impossible to charge a fair price for. That's why the only crochet things you see in stores are made in third-world countries where labor costs a lot less. Otherwise, people who sell their own stuff generally do so as a side-gig without really charging for labor. I would have to charge hundreds of dollars for a tiny stuffed animal to match what I would make hourly at my day job, and I am sure it's the same for her.
Uyen, seeing you have so much fun crocheting made me finally stop putting it off! I went to the dollar store and got some cheap hooks and yarn to start out. I’m nowhere near as good as you yet but I made my first granny square the other day and I’m really proud of it! :)
Pro tip: use a piece of felt about twice the size of the eye inside the plush to help attach the safety eyes. That will prevent them from being accidentally pulled out!
This is simply the most beautiful thing. You are so talented! I don't care what anyone would say. You dedicated 3 hours to a gift That says so much about how important that person is to you. Sometimes going out to dinner on someone's birthday is only an hour or two. As a person who crafts and tries to make special things for the people I love this is so wonderful to see. Now I got to go finish a quilt for my dad! I'm on hour 18 but day 42 LOL
That's cute. I Iove those and they will too. My Grandma taught me to crochet when I was little and I'm 75 now and I still love it and I'm still learning new things to make and still think of my Grandma when I do it.
No emergency gifts for me, I either have to plan it weeks in advance or someone is getting good tea and nice hand cream 😂 I'm the weird person who loves giving carefully planned and useful gifts (I love giving gifts in general) but I hate getting them, however if I would get something handmade I would be so happy, even if someone made it 2 hours before they gave it to me.
This is honestly better than anything you could buy me. I would pay you to make those in different colors to have around my house, and then be stupid happy for a gift.

I can’t knit or crochet to save my life but I’m quite good at embroidery! Monogrammed table napkins are usually well liked!
That said I think people usually prefer my baked goods lol. Can’t go wrong with food 😂
Omg. Please be my friend, I would love both! 😂
@@maricarfSAME! I want that kind of friend in my life, too!!!
This is amazing but be careful!!! I made a bag of 32 granny squares in four days and developed carpal tunnel 😭😭 stretch constantly and take frequent breaks. After you reach a certain skill level where you're able to push further and go faster it feels amazing, but just remember to nit go overboard
I always wanted to learn how to crochet. You should post videos that teach us how to make the octopus, along with other things!
You can just learn by searching up some simple complete beginner tutorials! There are so many RUclipsrs making those! I learnt how to crochet by watching them! Wish you luck❤
What an amazing gift
I always valued the gifts made by my artist friends more than anything purchased
Omgggg this is the cutest thing ever, I would love to receive a gift like this!!! I need to learn how to do this!!
this is one of the reasons why homemade gifts are better than bought gifts
Speaking for myself, I much prefer a hand-made gift over a store-bought one.
And the more dorky, quirky, funny or pun-y, the better!
A gift's 'value' is about your friendship, not how much it costs.
Exactly! And as an adult you can buy stuff from the store with your own money. My parents never liked the random cheap perfumes or clothes 🙈
Love your videos, so fun😂. Got motivated and just started my own channel from last week onwards. 🤞
What is your channel about? So e cited for you, good luck!
Crochet gifts are the best gifts for me ❤❤
You should sell these on your channel. They are beautiful! You are very talented. ❤
@@ariadne0w1 I guess that's why I'm not a business woman! Thanks for the explanation. It's a really lovely skill to have though.
You're endearing, creative, talented, resilient, what's more? Your bf german is so lucky to have you! What's not to love
Boy oh boy you sure can crochet!!! And you are so talented and creative!!! Better than store bought anyway!!!
Uyen, seeing you have so much fun crocheting made me finally stop putting it off! I went to the dollar store and got some cheap hooks and yarn to start out. I’m nowhere near as good as you yet but I made my first granny square the other day and I’m really proud of it! :)
I would happily accept this gift
I love that you are a crocheter! ❤
I want one! That is an adorable gift!
I’ll take a hand made gift over anything store bought! What a way to show your love for someone and they get to keep it forever!! ❤
That’s such an adorable gift! 😍🐙
I can't crochet but I REALLY love seeing you do it!! Keep on going I love the creations 🎉
Pro tip: use a piece of felt about twice the size of the eye inside the plush to help attach the safety eyes. That will prevent them from being accidentally pulled out!
That jellyfish was amazing. Love the power puff girls soundtrack also
Team work makes the dream work.
My Grandma taught me to crochet when I was little and I'm 75 now and I still love it and I'm still learning new things to make and still think of my Grandma when I do it.
for me it's the "i can draw something nice" kast minute thing 😂
love how you have yo try on the head as a hat - i can so relate
THIS IS THE DEFINITION OF TALENT! KEEP GOING GIRL! YOUR GONNA GET FAR IN LIFE! 💗💗
Now that's a gift!
That’s amazing you’re so talented!
I just made a Last Minute wedding gift for friends 😂 crochet two cute birds, one with a bow tie, one with a flower band and some money - perfect 👍🏻
This is honestly better than anything you could buy me. I would pay you to make those in different colors to have around my house, and then be stupid happy for a gift.
That is beyond adorable 🥰
Far more special too...handmade! 🧡🧡🧡
She has become too powerful guys
I really want one of those ... my cats would LOVE it!!! ❤❤❤
First!!❤ Love you Uyen!
As a crocheter, I recommend you stuff the head a bit more so it doesn't look flat. Still cute tho
This is the best one you’ve made. It’s so cute.
