I love how she breathes with a truly Asian accent in her playing. It doesn't sound robotic, but actually uniquely Asian. The Mendelssohn truly does reflect the heart of the one who performs it!
Oh, I also wanted to say, here it's really hard to see, but during the last part some of the strings on her bow broke, she was playing so hard. Somehow, I always liked that.
When your hands are small, you have to spread your fingers to give you a better grip on the bow. I don't think Sarah holds her bow like that anymore....
감동 느끼게 해주셔서 감사합니다.
That moment at 5:05 when she looks up at the maestro on the higher trill and the orchestra rejoins; perfection.
wow... so beautiful
wonderful. I love your dress too.
Absolutely love her! I went to go and see her with BSO a while back, and I think that this performance is actually better.
I have this whole concert on VHS. Sarah Chang was one of my idols growing up. So incredibly talented!!

What an Amazing Soloist!!!!!
she plays verry good. bravo :-)))
Lol, you can hear the crowd save their coughs for the pause inbetween movements. And Sarah Chang is my Idol!
레전드 legend
Finally, been waiting for this for years since its been removed!!XD
In My opinion her tone is much easier to listen to than Heifetz, which associate with being mechanical and cold
@taliagotabc yep they hang microphones. And somehow the soloists are always louder even without microphones
@taliagotabc i think microphones hang from the ceiling
I would be totally pist if I was Sarah at 1:18. She tried to pull back the tempo, but Kurt Masur didn't respond. That's why she went sharp at 1:35. >_
i think Sarah Chang better than Midori, Anne, Janin and other violinist

The slow introduction is actually written as part of the third movement...
非常有大將之風。
I like how everyone decided to cough like crazy right before the third movement.
She looks younger, too
people keep arguing about who is better than who. i dont think they heard the music.

Technically superb... maysomewhat lack soul and depth....
