I think the dislikes are for people disappointed about the bear. Not being from a country with bears, I thought it was interesting to see a bear on a riding video. Your riding video is excellent as: a) you are a good rider, b) there was no music, c) the chest mount gives a great angle and it feels like I'm on the ride with you, and d) this is exactly the type of video I wanted to watch!
This flatlander greatly appreciated this beautiful scenery. That looks like some great trails but I know of nothing to compare it to. The bear looked totally chilled. Like oh, hurr durr, murr burr-cycle snacks.
I will never understand why the olympics marginalizes downhill and mountain biking in general. Yet there is like 10 hours a day of coverage for that shitty fixie circle jerk track stuff.
Hey man don't be bagging on track and field. I do both and I'll tell you from experience they're both awesome sports. If you're gonna bag on anything, have a good reason for it
This was way too dope! Props on the riding and thanks for the upload! I'm in Seattle, but have some work to do before I head to Whistler for the first time. Looks fun as hell.
Wow this video is soooo awesome. I went mountain biking for the first time yesterday here in Utah and wrecked pretty hard. I'm all bruised and cut up and my helmet has a huge dent in it and saved my skull from crushing, but it was SO MUCH FUN! Can't wait to get good like you!
This vid was not supposed to be about a bear, the bear was just a side thing and the vid is supposed to be about the trail he went on notice he states the trail first in the name and the title is not OMG A BEAR ON MTB TRACK!!!!
You had the competition bug on that final section through the trees eh. Great video . . . damn wish we had loads of (actually, just some) quality routes like this in UK.
what an amazing place to ride!!!most jealous!!....i live about 35 mins from london(west)..we got some trails near by but nothing like that!!??!...not even allowed2dig??..beautiful mountains and even a bear!!??!!amazing....in need to up sticks n move!!!!!!!...nice vid my man...Paul.
You have nice stamina, I would have taken breaks like the other people you passed by. Mammoth is my home mountain but I've always wanted to go to Whistler! This trail looks super fun!
Nice riding. That trail is long! I think I would have had to stop a couple times on the way down and probably would have freaked out a bit seeing a bear that close to the trail.
Just a baby! Where is this trail? What State? I got chased last summer in Colorado by myself and yea the trail wasn't as cool but the black bear was much bigger and it was 4 feet behind me when i stopped to walk my bike.. I had to yell at it every so often so i could make it out alive. NO FUN!
I assume they aren't sitting down through most of the ride and have both elbows and knees flexed to help soften the ride and maintain control. How hard is this on the knees and elbows? I try to keep on my seat at all times and use the gears, but then again I road bike. I do go up into that position with rough road and potholes, but I don't have to maintain it very long.
At the end of the day, it is usually actually the hands and especially the upper body (abdomen and back) that are sore and exhausted, if you have the right technique anyway, the arms and legs should do most of the bodies own suspension work, but while riding you need to keep you body tension.
Dude I have three things to say 1, i'm so jealous you live here, 2, the Trails longer than 3 mins which is Phat!! and 3, you got to see a Bear!! there's loads of routes and tree drops popping out here there and everywhere wish i lived there :(
I'm curious, what kind of brakes do you use on a downhill trail bike? I remember riding my mountain bike down an old logging trail and about halfway down I stopped and chilled, but I noticed my brakes were EXTREMELY hot when I smelled hot rubber. I put my hand near the brake pads and you could feel the heat coming off them. Are their special pads designed for heavy braking?
2:01 What would you call that jump onto the platform? I've tried looking up how to build a step up jump platform, but nothing, and I can't find nothing that resembles that either. If anyone knows that proper term that could help find me these blueprints, that would be awesome.
You are 100% on that fact that the POV is perfect, i was about to ask where it was mounted. I think it might be mounted to the "bottom"/mouth area of the helmet...if you notice in the beginning it is pointed upwards and then he seems to pull down the helmet.. not sure though.
Hey man, just wondring what camera are u using and in what fps and resolution setting is this in? And how did u upload it without youtube messing with ur set up?
MATE that trail is sick. You got the skills there aswel bro, full props on your work there. where abouts in the US is this? Great video. i have a broken hand right now so i am out of action. vids like this keep me going.
How much does it cost to do this? I'm talking about acutually at Whistler, not the bike or gear. Is it like skiing up there you buy a pass and then ride?
Hey what kind of handlebar u got? it seems pretty small for downhill or is it just in the video? Maybe try next time to put ur cam on the helmet, so the video won´t shake that much ;)
9:54 here's you badass BEAR!!
lol
Usually when there is a cub there is a mother around who is usually very aggressive.
Yeah but they can outrun a mama bear :D. Good thing they were on bicycles.
Patrick Evans that one should big enough to separated from mom
The small bear is on 9:56
+Peyton JR thanks
Yw man
Thanks
thx
Thx

What a cute little bear! :3 I love how confused he is meeting the bikers! ^^
I watched the whole thing because of the downhill riding. The bear was just a bonus
same man haha.
Totes
Waiting For A Century awsome
This flatlander greatly appreciated this beautiful scenery. That looks like some great trails but I know of nothing to compare it to. The bear looked totally chilled. Like oh, hurr durr, murr burr-cycle snacks.
HOLY CRAP THATS A BEAR!
THATS A SCARY ASS BEAR!
What's scary is the mother coulda been around, and being that close to her baby is probably going to spark a reaction you won't want to be there for.
Thanks for the upload, I really enjoyed it.
Sweet run, suprised you ride alone seems a little dangerous on a course like that =)
Thanks for the heads up dude! I'm happy knowing I got ten minutes of uninterrupted bear-free whistler trail to see! Thumbs up dude!
well i'd say this was a waste of my time but i honestly don't' care. this was actually entertaining without the bear.
jack Maron There was a bear bud
Sidney Smith i know but it was only there for about 3 seconds. i mean it was entertaining even if there was no bear there.
jack Maron He was there.....bearly. Right at 9:57
Sweet ride! Funny someone commented on how easy the trail is. You make it look easy!
I will never understand why the olympics marginalizes downhill and mountain biking in general. Yet there is like 10 hours a day of coverage for that shitty fixie circle jerk track stuff.
Wow Wile E., aren't you violent? :P
Thank you!
I Agree with you sir 👍👍👍
Hey man don't be bagging on track and field. I do both and I'll tell you from experience they're both awesome sports. If you're gonna bag on anything, have a good reason for it
Willitinator
I'm with ya there, lol. Running track is cooler than biking in a circle for an hour tho, IMO xD
dude i did not think you were gonna make it into that tunnel, i flinched! sick vid!
that was unBEARable. ha, anyone? no.......ok.
I laughed :I ...
Lol
This was way too dope! Props on the riding and thanks for the upload! I'm in Seattle, but have some work to do before I head to Whistler for the first time. Looks fun as hell.
That bear didn't give 2 fucks about you guys lol.
Great video! It has great riding, great scenery, great experience, and a great fall haha!
Amazing man
Nice edit mate. Sweet trails. Really have to get to whistler one day.
the bear is at 9:57
+Paul and Kathy Cerny Thanks fam

+Jimmy Longmire
Your description of the title is misleading.
Nice long trail. Awesome video!
save your time and skip to 9:50
it's amazing how fast he's going, nonstop no rest, that is very impressive. I would love to have that skill. I stick to the small wooded trails
What a wast of time a tiny bear and in description it says came the track it was on the grass and he was know we're near it
Rip english
God your English is so fucking bad. You idiot.
myfreetime123 Meh, I could understand them. Good effort.
You had the competition bug on that final section through the trees eh. Great video . . . damn wish we had loads of (actually, just some) quality routes like this in UK.
Bear at 10:00
Man you're awesome with the mountain trails, I can only get a few jumps in the ride, not every time I try
!lol this handlebar now look funny at 2016 xD Nice video
roy cohen even more in late 2018
Nice run, almost the whole way without a crash. Great trail, cool bear shot.
what an amazing place to ride!!!most jealous!!....i live about 35 mins from london(west)..we got some trails near by but nothing like that!!??!...not even allowed2dig??..beautiful mountains and even a bear!!??!!amazing....in need to up sticks n move!!!!!!!...nice vid my man...Paul.

love the fog cover. makes it look really cool
Nice riding. That trail is long! I think I would have had to stop a couple times on the way down and probably would have freaked out a bit seeing a bear that close to the trail.
Nice vid! Cool trails, I too want to ride these trails

nice run mate. I watch this all the time hoping to do when im older.
This trail is amazing mate, regret I don't live in this region. Keep rockin'
Wheredid you film this? Id really like to know
Whistler Bike Park / Canada
Awesome riding, looks very gnarly and technical in places, would love to ride that trail
I always watch this vid. The trail looks class! Good run
do you ever worry about the front tires snagging onsomething or not leaning back far enough in flight to avoid going over your handle bars?
Sweet looks like blast and I bet the little black bear was as surprised as you guys were
Awesome run, looks super fun!
Nice riding. That part where you fell was so tight haha.
Awesome ride dude. Nothing but ups to the ppl who paved these trails...
sweet video, just a heads up if you use that little white nose plug looking thing on your mount, it'll take out a lot of the noise in the video
thanks for the ride bud !! very cool vid!! glad you didn't put music to it, i think its better with out. nice job on the vid!
That lucky bugger got to meet the literal Bear Grills! :)
Awesome tack that long way and lol see bear and you fell at the near end
Came for the ride, stayed for the beers!
How do i stop from screaming whilst watching you do such risky stuff ? Great Vid !!
Just a baby! Where is this trail? What State? I got chased last summer in Colorado by myself and yea the trail wasn't as cool but the black bear was much bigger and it was 4 feet behind me when i stopped to walk my bike.. I had to yell at it every so often so i could make it out alive. NO FUN!
Dumb America you never herd of whistler in CANADA
I assume they aren't sitting down through most of the ride and have both elbows and knees flexed to help soften the ride and maintain control. How hard is this on the knees and elbows? +Heinz Ketchup Don't forget the neck (on a road bike).
tarstarkusz For me personally, after a long day of mountain biking my neck is the last thing that hurts. Why does it hurt more on a road bike?
+Heinz Ketchup Because your natural position makes you stare at the ground and so you have to bend you head up to see. It's just a positioning thing.
That was an awesome run. Nice luck catching a bear on film!
Sick riding man. I came to see the bear, stayed to watch the entire video.
Dude I have three things to say 1, i'm so jealous you live here, 2, the Trails longer than 3 mins which is Phat!! and 3, you got to see a Bear!! there's loads of routes and tree drops popping out here there and everywhere wish i lived there :(
This looks like one of the most fun tracks ever!!
dude i give you props for having that kind of balls, the last bit where u fell, i wouldnt be able to do it, i wanna try that sometime tho
The ride is way cooler than the tiny bear/oversized cat... Nice crash near the end too ;)
damnnnnnn those trails are sick! Like your style too!
At 9:55 that is a bear. :) And at 9:57 it is seeing in your eyes. :) Great video. I wish to be young again and do this.
So I'm familiar with some downhill but nothing like this. When going down a wooded area do you prefer to pedal or to let momentum do all the work?
Nice run and beware the bears hahaha. BTW what a shame that you fell just by the end.
When going over those humps do you bunny hop? Or just kinda pull the whole bike up at the same time?
2:01 What would you call that jump onto the platform? I've tried looking up how to build a step up jump platform, but nothing, and I can't find nothing that resembles that either. If anyone knows that proper term that could help find me these blueprints, that would be awesome.
compliment! i luv this trail , the most beautiful so far
You are 100% on that fact that the POV is perfect, i was about to ask where it was mounted. I think it might be mounted to the "bottom"/mouth area of the helmet...if you notice in the beginning it is pointed upwards and then he seems to pull down the helmet.. not sure though.
cool video. I am a triathlete. I can make the bicycle go fast but this made me dizzy :)
takes a lot of guts and skills to what you do!
I already shit my pants from speeding over those board walk things. Forget the bear! XD
Good eye. Thanx. So focused on bike and rider I never saw it after watching video several times.
wow thats amazing. how do you know where ya going n stuff?
Wow, You can really ride that bike...very cool.
Good riding. Some of those sections look DAMN narrow!
Hey man, just wondring what camera are u using and in what fps and resolution setting is this in? And how did u upload it without youtube messing with ur set up?
IS that a 888 Bomber i see? :)
You were close enough to the bear alright hahaha lethal stuff!!!
Good riding Jeff...very cool trail...
9:55 BEAR! :D that's awesome, and i was thinking the title referred to a brand name or person or something haha
I had to laugh at when you fell at a walking pace, but handled the high speed sections well. But either way, Good vid, great run :)
The bear is so tiny! You probably scared him.
I'm too old for this shit, but enjoyed the video. Thanks for the vr trip down memory lane. ;)
your fingers must kill from the vibration from the handlebars, especially for such a long run. what do you do to ease the pain
You are the man! Totally awesome ride and speed... we're not worthy!
Awesome! I saw one when I was there in August right after the drop on Blue Velvet.
MATE that trail is sick. You got the skills there aswel bro, full props on your work there. where abouts in the US is this? Great video. i have a broken hand right now so i am out of action. vids like this keep me going.
I wanna learn how to mountain bikeeeeee. This looks super sweet.
How much does it cost to do this? I'm talking about acutually at Whistler, not the bike or gear. Is it like skiing up there you buy a pass and then ride?
what kinda of bike is that..and what upgrades you have to it?
I've never been to Whistler, these trails look epic!
Hey what kind of handlebar u got? it seems pretty small for downhill or is it just in the video?
Maybe try next time to put ur cam on the helmet, so the video won´t shake that much ;)
Very exciting. What was your total elevation change?
Good job the bear was not taking a dump in that tunnel, nice ride.
What are you supposed to do if a bear is just lying down smack in the middle of a tight path like 11:00? Do you turn back?
Thanks for the ride fom behind a computer screen man. The best part of it is I didn't have to be medevaced out.
