I found your comment fascinating, because I actually felt the opposite sentiment. I first came to the comments to see if anyone else was annoyed and your comment was the first I saw. It changed my view of my thought process. I wanted someone else to be annoyed at pronouncing the word incorrectly because it makes us as blacks look illiterate. When I read your happiness, it made me feel like a killjoy. We as blacks aren’t illiterate, and if one video hurts our image in the eyes of others then they are in fact the ignorant ones. It may seem like a random comment but I wanted to leave it because just because something is correct, doesn’t make it right. I hope you have a blessed day and thank you for unintentionally changing my view on how I leave comments ❤
I’m not a usual fan of straight hair, because I don’t want to damage my kinky hair. I love this. I just need to find a good hair dresser in NYC who knows it’s important to care properly for their clients hair. I want my hair to GROW and be healthy. If anyone know of a reputable stylist, please leave some info
I agree. I’m in nyc also and I wear sew-ins nowadays if I’m not wearing braids. it’s pretty hard to find a hair stylist that actually cares about the health of the natural hair and not just the style. I Hope someone leaves some recommendations under your comment 🩷
I'm going to tell you right now since you're in NYC....Stay away from the Dominican salons! They have been known to sneak in *texturizers during the washing process in order to straighten out your coily hair. I mean, honestly, that could happen in any salon but in all the accounts I've heard of that happening to women with type 4 hair it's always happened in Dominican salons. My coworker had it happen to her and her niece when they went to a Dominican salon in New Jersey. Unless you know and trust the stylist the best thing you can do is bring your own products and make sure that's what being used on your hair. *For anybody who doesn't know, texturizer is a hair treatment that is basically a relaxer. Texturizers are sometimes touted like they are a milder form of relaxer or better for your hair than a relaxer, but they're pretty much the same thing.
I had a lady give me a silk press, it lasted for a month, i was so happy. When I tried to find her again, she had moved 😢. You did really good on this lady hair.
@@iamnotmyhandle I mean thats cool and all but I don’t particularly care for my shrinkage. When my hair gets wet, don’t get me wrong, the curls are beautiful but I lose at least 5 to 6 inches and I don’t be feeling that… it’s the truth but to each their own!!! 🤷♀️

A good non greasy moisturizer is the key. Braid like that in sections and use a silk scarf overnight. This works for natural hair. Also use a small amount of non greasy hair spray.
I don't go to the salons anymore because they always want to cut, cut, cut, no matter how healthy my hair is. I'm retaining length and trimming split ends at home.
Her hair is virgin hair that's why its so healthy.. im also back to natural hair.. unfortunately my hair was damaged by hair chemicals, it took a long time to recover..i'll never go back to chemicals again. There are many ways of managing hair❤❤❤
It’s definitely virgin ( Natural) hair, the texture says it all! I don’t think that, the hairstylist would be flat ironing, her entire head,if she had a perm.🤷🏽♀️

Afro hair is so versatile (straight, curly, plaits, majestic afro, you name it, so versatile).
We need to appreciate this natural crown.
True but we must have variety in our hairstyles as our choices.
Exactly. Imo, it’s literally the best hair type in the world!
Her hair is so healthy 🎉
And her scalp 🥰
Man, this hair texture is dope. It looked done in the Bantu knots, but the silk press is pretty too.
Bantu knots is a dope protective style

The Dominicans do great silk presses on natural virgin hair.
Look at that length!!! I swear our shrinkage be diabolical!!!😂

That why they say African hair don't grow, forgetting that the length stay insides and not growing outward 😂😂😂
Nope, our versatility is phenomenal! 🤎

It is really good. I used it when I had sister locs and after I took them down. I actually like the smell and the way it feels to my scalp.
