Of the many hotels I have been a guest of, The Plaza is absolutely my favorite. I have only stayed there once several years ago. Las Vegas (New Mexico) is also one of my top favorite cities to visit becauseof the history. I will be there this summer for vacation. Thank you for the excellent video. Keep them coming!

So why was one of the double staircases in the lobby torn down?

jaimejaime and/or Allan Affeldt: Check the Spanish dictionary. The word "plaza" does not mean "park." It means "square" (as in "town square"), "fortified/protected place", etc. But, not "park."
