    If p is low, null must go. Thank you so much for this. I have been hung up on p values this semester and you just solved the riddle for me.

      if the p is high, the null survives

    Well, this was super helpful. I'm not super good with computers, so this was a real lifesaver. Thanks!

    Hi Phil, just a little design question. How did you manage to get the control and praised group names into the table? I only have groups 1 and 2. Thank you Btw, very good video

      Hi. You can rename your Group 1 and Group 2 by clicking on the Variable View tab. See my Entering Questionnaire Data video on how this works if you don't know. Good luck.

    if there is difference in means but p>0.05, what will be the significance level.

    • @PhilChanstats
      @PhilChanstats  4 года назад

      you think about it like this: decide on the significance level (standard choices are 1%, 5%, 10%) and then compare your test stat to it. As you have the p-value, you may use that against the significance level. Hm.....not sure this helps you

      @@PhilChanstats Hi I was wondering how would one adjust the alpha level by using the Bonferroni adjustment in running an Independent samples T test

    Why is "group" a scale variable?

    • @PhilChanstats
      @PhilChanstats  4 года назад

      This is an important question. Under the column Measure, you see that "Group" has been left on the default setting Scale. Since this setting matters only for plots, I didn't change it. But if it helps your understanding you would change it so that Group is nominal.

    Hi can i have the nominal values for group 2?

    • @PhilChanstats
      @PhilChanstats  3 года назад

      GROUP 1 IS CONTROL GROUP; GROUP 2 IS THE TREATMENT (PRAISED)
