Everytime he shakes a drink and smiles at the camera I just feel he forgets there's a camera in front of him and he's just like "oh hi forgot yall watching 😁" lmaooo
I´ve made a version with the red wine float replaced with red wine foam, red wine, simple syrup, lemon juice and eggwihite frothed with milk frother. Highly recommended!
Betty Carter was one of my fav concert experiences. At Ronny Scott’s in London. Sat all the way up in front, and must have looked very happy because she definitely sang to ME. Wow, what a night
Hello! Just got your book can’t wait to make more of your drinks bro. I made this tasty drink on vacation last week. Enjoi! Yellow Sour Patch Kid (whiskey sour smash) Muddle lemon quarters (1/3 🍋) 1 1/2 Oz Peach Whiskey Egg white 1/2 Oz simple syrup 1 Oz pineapple lemonade Dry shake Add ice shake and double strain into a mason jar with ice Garnish Lemon slice and one mint leaf
I've made a few New York's sours at home, and had a few at bars and they are definitely my favorite sour riff. However, the next chance I get I'm going to try that Filibuster. As a proper Canadian. I have both maple syrup and rye whiskey in my home at all times
The Whiskey Sour was the 1st cocktail I ever had and is full of fun memories for me. I've enjoyed many variations since but never heard of the Betty Carter variation. Will definitely try it this evening. 🍻
@@StevetheBartender_I'd have to go with a Penicillin. I like how well the honey, genger, and smoke play with the taste of the Whiskey. Altho, I went to a bar in New Orleans that did a New York sour but smoked the cocktail and really enjoyed that.
Just made the New York Sour. Whoo damn. Didn't have a claret, but a Pinot noir which made do. The red cuts the bitterness quite nicely. As someone who's fairly new to the whiskey scene in general, I found the taste intriguing and complex. The one thing was is that I felt inclined to keep topping up the red, to keep that flavor profile going.
Hey Steve. My besties mum loovveess whiskey sours. Would try 1&2. The egg white is not my thing. Thanks for sharing. My husband will probably try all 3. Agreed. #1. Thanks for sharing and see you next video.
I already had a New York sour, that was one of your first videos Steve ;) I'm so excited to try the last 2. I've never had a cocktail that I didn't like with Sherry or maple syrup.
4:07 Who is this deranged shaking Steve and what have you done with smiling Steve??? 4:11 Oh phew. There he is!!! OMG the entire third drink is the best. How, ah, tired of filming were you??? 😂😂😂
Yo I got one that I created it is a amaretto whiskey sour u use wild turkey 101 amaretto (I prefer dissaronos) and Mt.Dew with alittle bit of grenadine on top I call it "the hillbilly whiskey sour"
Or country boys that only have Walmart and a small liqour store do 2 Oz 100proof bourbon 2oz lemonade squeeze some fresh orange and lemon and splash of sprite.
I'm definitely going to try the "filibuster"! Also perfect timing, National wishky sour day is in two days i would have something to post on Instagram.

It was fantastic, no need to apologize 😂
Aggressive?? I missed it 🤷🏻♂️ lol
Good gusto 😅
That wasn’t just enthusiasm for the topic? ;)
I enjoyed the staredown at 4:07.
Was wondering what the hell was going on until you cracked up =))

Yeah and most of the time its a smirk like smile, but the second one 2:58 this time looked like he had fun. As with the filibuster shake
Oh, that Filibuster! To think I enjoy my Old Fashioned sweetened with maple syrup and I never thought of this!

So happy I came across this channel. So many fun and tasty ideas to make drinks. Thanks!

Steve, I like all of these variations. But I am still a fan of the original!!

So what is your favourite variation to date...?

that smile when he's shaking glasses everytimeeee 😂
oh I like these variations. gonna have to give all three a try. thanks for sharing. cheers
Steve: "I'm very much hoping it taste better than it looks"
*cut* drink 90% gone.
🤣
Haha, that was only because I couldn’t get my sentence out! It was my least favourite of the three..
@@StevetheBartender_ I imagine drinking more alcohol as you go doesn't make getting the lines out much easier. 😂
Whiskey Sours rule! Betty Carter sounds dope as hell!
Yeah they do! I had high hopes for the Betty Carter but it ended up being my least favourite of the 3.... :(
@@StevetheBartender_ Maybe it needs a tweak.
@@UnclePete Yeah, I think it might have been the PX I used... will have to revisit.
O'DOYLE RULES!
Always good to see your videos Steve! Thanks for sharing!
Glad you like them!
I love a New York sour 😍
I haven't had one for quite a while until a couple days ago... ooft! So good!
Great video. Love whiskey, but new to sours. Gotta find and buy the ingridients to try these out. Plus, you are always so happy when shaking 😎
Definitely try them out, especially a classic whiskey sour and a New York sour!

Whiskey sour was my first cocktail and I really enjoy them. Might have to try the Philly buster, that could be good
Someone is clearly working out! 💪
Hi Steve happy new year do a video of YOUR 5 favourite cocktails
my favorite cocktails
Best video of Steve
Thanks Ifern - I was quite happy with this one!!
I only make whisky sour without egg white but with super juice & super syrup thats amazing lol 😁
Yeah ive never made it with the egg white and generally tell others to not bother. Usually 1oz ea juice and syrup and 2oz whiskey or bourbon.
Hey Steve. My besties mum loovveess whiskey sours. Would try 1&2. The egg white is not my thing. Thanks for sharing. My husband will probably try all 3. Agreed. #1. Thanks for sharing and see you next video.
You can replicate the texture with super syrup: ruclips.net/video/8lfWBxtH6hk/видео.html

A good ruby port also makes a nice new york sour.
Brilliant Steve
Thx Andrew!!
I had try de last 1 u did
The New York sour is fun to make - and looks cool - but I prefer the Betty Carter.
Not gonna lie man, never tried a NY Sour! Need to give it a go I think! 😍
Def give it a go!
My absolute fav bourbon cocktail
Love it.
Why thank you Pabzpogi!
@@StevetheBartender_ I Love the New York sour and definitely will try the Filibuster at home.
I like the tip about the spoon, but I just pour slower over the back side 🤯😉
I would have to say, I’m a huge fan of the New York Sour. I make it with egg white and maple syrup. New York Fili-Sour? New York Sour Buster? 🤪
I don't believe I tried teh Betty Carter, will rectify shortly. Though it may not be your favourite it seemed to be teh one most consumed... ;)
Haha, it was the most consumed because I did about 8 takes to get the one sentence out 😂
Good vidéo

My go to Whiskey Sour is just 2 OZ Whiskey and 1 OZ Lemon/ Lime Juice haha
No sweetener.....?
@@StevetheBartender_ nope hahaha

FEW!! How did you get that?
I was sent a sample... but it is available at some retailers in Australia.
@@StevetheBartender_ they are right around the corner from me near Anders Erickson.

I now identify a good bartender by whether or not they flash a smile when shaking
I love to wok with u Steve the bartender
You had all three before even doing this video didn’t you? 🙂🍷
