Mutes help. If you practice with mutes, it forces you to play strong with the tone they play in. After like 1 day of practice with mute, my tone improved a lot. I don’t have any recording equipment, but if someone can provide a demonstration of this, that would be great
@@myname-isvincent5683 i just practiced everyday for two years there’s nothing really to explain, just play, be very aware with your sound, have motivation to fix your mistakes and become better
My trumpet players always played better when I "roasted " them. Not sure why this is but I guess perhaps they wanted to show me "yes we can play this" now leave us alone and pick on another group of instruments! 😁
My bet- It’s every teen’s worst nightmare. You’re on a giant stage, next to your peers, being called-out by an elder…and the problem/solution is actually in your hands. Kids rise to the occasion under such circumstances, and I think it’s one of the hidden/best/most unique elements of the marching arts.
I always think it's funny how the heb ron kids would see these comments and say oh this isn't that good, acting like there not a world class highschool marching band

Right? Not hearing anyone getting aggressively cussed out yet lmao Our low brass instructor wasn’t technically an employee of the school so he took full liberty in having absolutely no filter with us 💀

nothing fuels good playing and musicianship better than get absolutely roasted.
The fact that the saxophone soloist posted this makes it 100% better 💀
LMAO
damn the guy on the tower reminds me of ewing, ewing would roast us like that fr lmao
If that’s bad, good might shatter time and space as we know it.
I mean, it's hebron what do you expect
I mean it was better after they got roasted, earlier in the season, the articulations were not quite as clear as they were in this vid
Most people don’t understand how hard it is to play that compact on low brass instruments
it’s so easy
@@mjb9295 Um what. Well good for you man. I'd like a demonstration so maybe you could help people understand what makes it so easy for you

that low brass section is so good
It’s an honor to see Hebron rehearsing at Reagan.

Can we have more of these please, I love the insight of what you guys do
I absolutely adore this trombone section, absolutely killed it this year, taking that church windows opening to another level🔥🔥🔥

This sounds absolutely amazing to me. I would like to hear the full show
Listen to it there are many videos, they are quite amazing

That’s how trumpet players are. You have to light ‘em up in order for them to burn brilliantly.
If they get roasted for that than my band must not be doing well

Is that a soprano sax marching???
Ikr, I was shocked
Absolutely awestruck
nobody can hear the woodwinds so why do people bother playing obscure ones
@@pleaseimjustahuman he’s a soloist in the ballad. Also, soprano sax is definitely not obscure.
