    This worked! Thank you! Took my time building the adapter, but it did the trick, upgraded from the pesky and finicky R04 firmware to R05 and we're good. Thank you for this, turned a brick into a functional radio again.

    For the CDM then are you able to use CPS, or RSS to program it? The cable is so easy it's almost absurd! THANKS !!!!

    I am attempting to program AN HT1250. I have purchased a prolific programming cable from eBay. I have the programming software as well. However, I continue to get the the error "Couldn't open port" do you have any suggestions on what I might be doing wrong?

      There's your problem. These only work some of the time with the right driver. They will work for flashing though.
