Man, Springsteen sure gives his ALL in this performance, incl. a burning little guitar solo. Quite a seal of approval...he obviously loves this brilliant song. -and rightly so.
Impecable Bruce, demuestra lo que es ser un musico de raza,te arrolla como un huracan.Jacob esta anonadado con Bruce a su lado.UN GRANDE de verdad,Jacob logro compartir el escenario con su idolo
omg... one of best performances ever and look at the comments!!! ffs... theres like a billion of really bad clips on here to fight about... but this?!?! come on! LEAVE GOOD MUSIC ALONE! Respect to both... Boss and Dylan! and thnx for posting this :)
Wow! I've been looking for this! The Boss and JD really cook together. What happened to the rest of it? Bruce Springsteen is Americas's greatest performer - ever.
I think the second verse of the song (sung by bruce) was actually inspired by springsteen and his song "Independance Day" from the river. He sounds so natural singing it.
I'm so glad Bruce didn't take this song his own way...but kept the feeling of the Wallflowers. When I saw he sang on this song, I thought he would dominate...but its just perfect
Bruce comes out looking leaner and meaner than he had in years, complete with bad-ass goatee and leather jacket, and snatches "One Headlight" right out of Jakob Dylan's feeble hands. He nails a great guitar solo, makes tons of great Bruce faces and even turns in the classic sharing-vocals at-the-same-mic-stand move. You're literally watching Bruce rediscover his ability to rock as the song goes on- bill simmons on this performance
Bruce is singing the song passionately because he wishes he wrote it and, even thought he fucks up the lyrics, he brings a new level of passion to the song. If he was 21 and playing with Dylan (Sr.), one of his Idols, I'm sure he would have been as nervous.
@Rachelamilan Jakob put a solo CD out a little while ago and the Wallflowers released a CD of all their best material and some unreleased stuff called Collected. Jakob;s solo cd is awesome I havent heard any of the collected stuff yet but i've heard good things.
This is a great song, gotta say it did sound pretty good when Bruce got to sing a few lines himself, still i think Jakobs voice suits the song more. Ima listen to this song 20 times now :(
This song was playing over the loudspeaker at the gas station. As I was leaving, I looked at the car in front of me and the license plate said "Jesus Loves YOU"
does anyone know what bruce is singing in the chorus in musical terms? is that a harmony of like singing other notes in the same key? i've always wondered about stuff like that.
bob is great but bruce is godly, he's proved it time and time again. id rather see bruce when he's 90 then dylan at 30. regardless of what anyone says bruce cant be beat
This song has 2 Sexy Dudes, A friend with a not so good outcome,Cinderella who gets her fella, and a car that needs a headlight. You can get really tired of being Cinderella after a while, when no one tries shoes on you anymore.
Don't think so, Bruce always has to over emphazise and force himself to be cool where Dylan is like his Da, just relaxed and on the ball with out trying. Keep it up Jakob.
Jakob Dylan did a great job with this song, but I can't think of any artist who Dylan could have chosen who would have done a better job than Bruce. I'd have to say that this song with the addition of Bruce is much better than without him.
thank you for lying to me Bill Simmons. The Boss does not destroy little Dylan. Aside from slightly different voices and a different guitar solo, not special in any way. the Sports Guy are fail.
Alright. Whoever is comparing Jakob Dylan to Bruce Springsteen just needs to stop, they both played really well, Bruce is just awesome that's all. There's really no comparison.
@cfhripdime04 : I fully agree..as a bruce fan it hurts me to say, actually I don't think I ever said anything like this about any of the man's performances, but this sucks
No need to ofend Amigo... for your information there is a whole world and diferent music within it. im sure I could mention people you dont know and we others do... and even if u are fan of these Bruce S. hopefully this is not his best performance.
This is one of my all time favorite songs, and Bruce is one of my all time favorite singers!!! THIS VIDEO IS THE BEST!!!!
Man, Springsteen sure gives his ALL in this performance, incl. a burning little guitar solo.
Quite a seal of approval...he obviously loves this brilliant song. -and rightly so.
their voices go so good together the boss and jacob dylan love this performance allways come back to it
outstanding performance of an outstanding song. the moment i first the wallflowers studio version on the radio, i thought of bruce.
That's one of the greatest rock'n roll video ever!!
I can't stop watching this. I love this song to hear it WITH Bruce Springsteen. Awesome! Your channel rocks.
This two fellows are just brilliant. Two headlights born in the USA.
this is a terrific duet. they play really well together!
Love the 90's. Music now is just not the same.
Epic... without a shadow of a doubt both are great!
A song worth of the song of the greatest legend
Great Song. I got one unique CD from them and all tracks are really crafted music... I went to University listenning to this.
there are not words..........JUST AWESOME
one of the best songs of the 90s.
Fantastic - the Boss and the Wallflowers!
i got goosebumps listening to them singing into the same mic.

Boss and Dylan! and thnx for posting this :)
i couldn't have said it better myself!! go bruce!
Wow! I've been looking for this! The Boss and JD really cook together. What happened to the rest of it?

I love this Dylan n the boss :)
I think the second verse of the song (sung by bruce) was actually inspired by springsteen and his song "Independance Day" from the river. He sounds so natural singing it.

I'm so glad Bruce didn't take this song his own way...but kept the feeling of the Wallflowers. When I saw he sang on this song, I thought he would dominate...but its just perfect
rare performance!

Amei :D
wow...

Train wrecks from Jersey are deadly! Love Jersey boys! :)
Ti capisce Ti ringrazio Ti Amo
@Rachelamilan Jakob put a solo CD out a little while ago and the Wallflowers released a CD of all their best material and some unreleased stuff called Collected. Jakob;s solo cd is awesome I havent heard any of the collected stuff yet but i've heard good things.
XD I think this was originaly supposed to be a sad song (a made a music fic with it :D) but they make it sound so fun to sing!
The Boss kills this song so hard right here, he also killed Jacob Dylan and Wallflower's careers as collateral damage.
God Bless the Hammond B-3
MTV Music awards 1997
This is a great song, gotta say it did sound pretty good when Bruce got to sing a few lines himself, still i think Jakobs voice suits the song more.
Ima listen to this song 20 times now :(
God Bless You and Cinderella My Best Wishes. IF you can drive it home with one
headlight, why is the death of your friend killing you?
@WHOEWX you can find a full version of this son in high quality on ARES
Well put that's what I'm talking about.
Nobody writes a song like Bob Dylan. Bob is better than anyone else at songwriting, but Bruce definitely in his league in that department.
i love how springsteen does it a thousand times better than the original in the 2nd verse right in front of him
Great performance, sound. Kudos to Jacob Dylan, anyone who brings Springteen on stage with him risks getting upstaged...
I know this is not a good Bruce's performance but it seems he enjoyed it a lot .
Yepp Bruce is god
1997
How about a new Traveling Willbury's album with Jakob and Bruce in place of Orbison and Harrison.
simmons sent me for the second time in three years.
bob is great but bruce is godly, he's proved it time and time again. id rather see bruce when he's 90 then dylan at 30. regardless of what anyone says bruce cant be beat
Bill simmons!!!! The boss always wins.
What was this taken from? It obviously was cut off before the performance ended. I'd love to see the rest, Bruce can solo his ass off on that Guitar.
It did sound like Bruce held back, almost like not to dominate the vocals, and yes, wish I could hear the ending. Very good, ended too soon.
whatsername from green day is like this song...
I think their voices sound pretty similar to each other.
@therebelrogue Bruce yes, Jakub no. I don't think Jakub reaches the bar for that kind of gig. Tom Waits, yes.
Jakob Dylan did a great job with this song, but I can't think of any artist who Dylan could have chosen who would have done a better job than Bruce. I'd have to say that this song with the addition of Bruce is much better than without him.
Jakob Dylan is a grown-up. That's why this song works.
You know that the lead singer is Bob Dylan's son, right? Just wondering.
Bruce can drown out anyone with his voice lol
i always thought jakob sounded similar to bruce in this song... for awhile i thought it actually was springstein
thank you for lying to me Bill Simmons.
Jakob wouldn't mind the comparison- some of the lyrics in this song were directly inspired by Bruce's song "Independence Day."
Simmons.
@cfhripdime04 : I fully agree..as a bruce fan it hurts me to say, actually I don't think I ever said anything like this about any of the man's performances, but this sucks
i agree--he totally drowned the rest out like it was his song or something
I guess we have to start listening to Sports Guy's wife for music picks as well...
Simmons must be from the American Idol school where the person who strains and shows the most "emotion" is judged the best singer.
No need to ofend Amigo... for your information there is a whole world and diferent music within it. im sure I could mention people you dont know and we others do... and even if u are fan of these Bruce S. hopefully this is not his best performance.
Bruce's solo is cut :(
sfusmc38,
Stupid comment. 2003 at Shea-- LOL!
Bruce is the man! What a Voice!!BRRRUUUCCCEEEE!is pretty shite how it cuts off
see the dream scenario is a duet of this song with BOB joining Jakob-not this putz seen here...
Odd thing to say, considering this song was inspired by one of Springsteen's tunes, not Bob's.
hell ya. tht was sick but cmon..u cant cut off the boss in mid solo lol
