Good Morning and Happy New Year from Whistler MS!!🎉 That’s an awesome looking sandwich 😊 I have never understood why people feel the need to tell you what you can’t put on your food!!
Happy new year! Kenneth..I completely agree...like the comments are going to stop me from making the food I like to eat...suggestions are one thing...but telling what should or should not is a whole nother level...
Recipes are simply a guide people, don’t be so rigid! Some of my best stuff has been totally because I made a change or didn’t have something on hand! Neil, as usual, this looks freaking AMAZING! I have to get my Steelmade seasoned up really soon!
What a great way to enjoy Jan. 02, before the big parade or game, a new video from The Flat Top King. Crank up another recipe for the griddle and this sammich is a BIG winner.
Glad you made this video, like when we spoke of my younger son wanting a chop cheese on the new griddle, and me wanting a rib eye cheesesteak. You told me combine em both, best of both worlds. Cheers y’all🤙🏼
Dude soooooo much goodness here sir!! We have the same grinder, and home ground beef absolutely makes a great difference. Love my horseradish, so I'll be trying your spread. And I 💯💯💯 agree with wrapping & resting. It truly makes a better sandwich experience. Excellent work!
Another fantastic vid guys!.. I know that the meat was the star of the show, but i love that you loaded it with lettuce and a ton of tomatoes.. Good Lord I bet that sandwich was good!👍👍👍👍
Happy New Year Neal and Amy! I can't wait for the good weather to start to use my plancha again! I think that this sandwich will on the top of the list!! Don't you have winter in Tennessee??
Oh my word, unbelievable negative comments. I’d have thought you committed a crime. I would seriously make this, that is, if I could find rib-eye on sale. Love this idea! Thank you Neal!
I see that 3rd burger sure disappeared! Looking forward to that video too. I am making this one for sure, we got some cheap ribeye's that are tuff and have this written all over them. Thanks for the idea's!
Sounds good!....yeah we had it off camera...so my idea is of course fresh ground ribeye, carmozen onion. beer cheese sauce on a pretzel bun...a thicker burger as well,,,what say you
Happy New Year! Great looking sandwich...I've done something similar with a mix of hot & sweet Italian sausage, but never have I ground the meat myself. That's a twist I've got to try! And keep on doing what feels right to you...ignore the "haters"...
Oooh man, that’s just perfect! Letting it steam in its own juices is awesome. The fresh ground ribeye is what makes that sandwich. So how was the other burger? I know you ate that too! Hope y’all had a wonderful New Years! Cheers buddy!
Since no one reads my comments I can say this...just bought the ingredients today...a PUB STYLE burger...bought beef short ribs and of course the ribeye...caramelized onion, then a beer cheese sauce with 3 cheeses...refrigerated overnight to set back up...then sliced to melt over the burger....ooooohhhh of course a pretzel bun
Great video. Next time you give this a try grind up some brisket. Once ground it will no longer be tough, but will have that great flavor. Not to many years ago brisket was mostly ground up until it became the "flavor " of the day. It would be interesting to also do a smash burger with that grind. Great way to not have to trim fat, just grind. Happy new years 😁👍🎉
Thanks for the tip Victor...we did a trio burger...Fresh Ground Burgers...does it matter...we used filet, beef short rib and ribeye I think...I will have to include the brisket
@@TheFlatTopKing yuppers I was curious if you had tried brisket. When grilling steak I prefer New York over Ribeye. However if you're going to grind a steak I believe using a Ribeye is a better choice because of all that fat in that steak is a better tasting fat. So when you do this here's something to consider. I know several fellows who buy a good sized brisket in the 15 to 17 lb size. They remove the point and smoke that. Then they grind up the flat. You can do this in any way you want. The idea is you don't have to eat a ton of brisket for the week and get really great tasting ground beef. And of course the smaller the size of the brisket, the shorter time spent smoking it. It's a win win sort of thing. Good luck. 😋🔥👍
You didn’t say anything about Tennessees big win over Clemson. Did you record this before. It looks awesome. I will be making this for sure. My family is heartbroken since they all went to Clemson except one went to Georgia so he’s stoked. I myself went to Iowa who finally won a game
Great job and great tips!🤤 I made a similar sandwich with ground chicken. It requires more flavoring though because chicken is obviously more bland but it was still delicious for those that don't eat red meat.
Absolutely...we are going to update as soon as I get my new shirt...but for now we have several options...look up the page STORE..It should be available with the others..
hahahhah plenty of options out there..I dont have tons of experience...so I can what to look out for or what to get...but I bought the off brand and I haven't regretted it..

so I guess now's not the time to tell you about an upcoming video grinding a ribeye and making a pub burger...i have used it before in videos...not sure how this is a short cut....literally had to take an extra step to grind...plus it was a combination of two sandwiches..
Lmao, the cheese melts completely - yet you feel you need to call this "Chopped Cheese Cheesesteak Sandwich" ?!? Would anything be , or taste any different at all if you didn't "chop" the cheese? lol An accurate description would be "Ground Ribeye Po Boy"! P.S. i have never seen a "cheesesteak" with tomato, or lettuce on it. Would like to know why we need to - "let the sandwich rest", makes zero sense. Sorry, just being "real" without the YT "marketing hype" trying to sell videos.
I have started this new year by not arguing with comments...this I will not even attempt to clarify....but I literally cant resist...it is a combination of a Chopped Cheese and a Cheesesteak....I took certain parts I liked and mixed together...letting the sandwich rest allows the bread to absorb the grease from the meat and most people swear by it...The idea that you think I give an absolute crap an YT marketing shows you dont follow me or understand my channel...look up a how to make a chopped cheese from Harlem..you chop the cheese....uuuggghhhh.....im done
@@TheFlatTopKing Sorry to trigger you into exasperation. You decided to make money on social media for the world to scrutinize, not me.
