- Professional chef Fatima Khawaja and home cook Lorenzo are trading ingredients and hitting the kitchen to take a crack at each other’s meatloaf recipe. We set Lorenzo up with a treasure chest of ingredients from chef Fatima’s kitchen, along with the recipe for her luxurious $170 meatloaf. Meanwhile, over with our pro, a much more modest $18 worth of ingredients were being finessed by our chef in a quest to improvise her way up to gourmet. Whose meatloaf will have you singing “Paradise by the Dashboard Light”?

I would really like a swap but between 2 pro chefs!
This is a swap between 2 pros
@@kevinklunder581 True, the only thing is culinary school really. Lorenzo knows his stuff, and his tray looked way more complex than most of them look.
@@kevinklunder581 The title doesnt say so
Yessss!!!
And you'll get some Souma vibes XDDD
Chef Fatima is SO optimistic and wholesome and REFRESHING! 🩵
I hope Epicurious already have a cookbook being written containing all of these wonderful recipes. I loved both versions of "meatloaf" and potatoes. 😋
HONESTLY
Please don't stop these. They're such joy to watch.
Lorenzo’s sudden laugh at 9:47 got me rofl hahaha he is happy and proud of his achievements😆
I love all Epicurus videos, but could we have more Lorenzo and Fatima? This was magic!!!!
I agree!!
agreed i love the energy
Fatima is so chill! 😊😊 she is like a tranquil river that keeps flowing nice and free. Lorenzo is chaotic energy 😂😂😂 and I appreciate and love that 😅😁😁😁
Fatima: So what was the hardest part for you?
Lorenzo: YES
*LORENZO HAS BEEN READING COMMENTS*
Lorenzo is the main character of Epicurious
Lorenzo's deranged laughter gives my soul life.
Ah so thats where my soul is drained every time I hear that cackling.
It's even better than his Scooby Doo laugh.
Now that Emily is a Level 2 Chef, all the Level 3 Chefs are on the Ketchup bandwagon! :D
Chef Lorenzo deserves his own show. He's so pleasant and entertaining.
This looks delicious on both sides.
I love what she did with the simpler ingredients. Looks yummy. And it was great to see his version of her meatloaf. I feel like he followed it really well.
Great to see chef fatima back, and gelatinous stock in the meatloaf is the waow factor in this video. You can literally add this in many recipes and your meat will turn out juicier.
Lorenzo is so adorable, joyful to watch.
What I really like about this series is seeing the pros take regular ingredients and make them into something fancy.
3:25 had me dying of laughter, thanks Lorenzo.
Finally after a loooonnnggg hiatus, LORENZO'S back!!!!
OMG he used all of the tamarind for one dish??? That could have lasted a month yaar!!!!
even more than that.... i was thinking the same
I want Lorenzo’s laugh as my ringtone! Makes me laugh and smile anytime I hear him laugh! Such a happy wholesome person
I love the stark contrast in this episode between Lorenzo and Fatima LOL
Amazing chefs making a meatloaf! Lorenzo was so delighted that Chef Fatima recognized the dragon shape. Love it. Always liked Lorenzo and he shares the same name as my brother and grandpa
Lorenzo understands that presentation goes a LONG way.
Lorenzo is so hilarious! "Have you ground meat before?" "My shoulders hurt!"
I love these! I think it would be funny to see 2 level 2 chefs swap ingredients to see what they could make happen.
I really appreciate these two. They feel very genuine and fun.
Binging myself some Chef Lorenzo videos! He is so funny! Made my day :D
Lorenzo is my spirit animal.
At first i didnt like him, now im in love(?
Lorenzo is one of my favorite chefs here, but I am intrigued by Fatima's chutney. Will have to give it a shot!
Yay, Lorenzo is in the kitchen!
Lorenzo is getting better at estimating the cost of the ingredients. 💵
LISTEN, EPICURIOUS! Give us a series where two PROFESSIONAL chefs exchange ingredients, please!! So many of us have been asking for so long now 🥲
they're so lovely together!!!
More Fatima plz!!!!
Whoever did the editing on this video...Kudooss, Pure Gold
Lorenzo is so fun to watch and Fatima is so cool too.
Ketchup? * Emily enters the channel *
Loved this!
Another delightful swap, I am surprised Lorenzo used that much tamarind though.
Oh Lorenzo, I just love his cooking and dialog the bread loaf and his reaction was just too funny, overall both chefs did awesome and have to say for once I would actually try both! Great job Chefs!
Its really nice to see someone Pakistani on a big platform giving a little shout out to bun kebabs still doing fancy meat loaf
Chef Fatima has such a calming presence, such elder sister vibes, felt as if she was teaching while cooking!
I think this was my favorite episode, id love to see another one with these 2 together
I LOVE Fatima! 2 different chefs, 2 different recipes, love it... but *why two different pricing rules, sincerely?*
One is priced for the literal cost of the ingredients, the other is priced *only for the amount used?* I don't understand? Y'all really using $8 worth of black peppercorns & a single stalk of celery cost $3.59? I feel like I'm going crazy trying to figure it out. Am I crazy? 🤷🤷♀🤷🤷♀
I think it's because you would "already have" the simple ingredients but now I need to go back because I've never noticed this!
@@jfrancis6933 that makes sense, albeit they show the receipt in the video. 🤷♂️
As a Brit, that pronunciation of Worcestershire made me cry inside 🥲 3:30
FYI it’s pronounced wu-stuh-shuh
Fun!! Looks Amazing!
Fatima smiling with her eyes 😍
Lorenzo is the best! He never fails to make me smile. And chef Fatima was great too and really inspired for her meatloaf challenge recipe.
Lorenzo is such a delight!
I want more of these amazing videos
I love Lorenzo so much. As a fellow Filipino, I feel seen.
I swear one time there cooking with eggs the professional chefs is gonna send a whole live chicken XD
love seeing Lorenzo on my screen!
I love Chef Fatima. So chill and smart!
Lorenzo's spirit is awesome he's very cheerful
And Fatima's middle eastern touch really changes the game
Very nice episode
Those were a slightly sad version of Rösti... make sure you check out the Swiss methods. Much more mind-blowing results ;)
I think Lorenzo is super COOL 😎, and so is the Pro chef.
please bring back the 50 people try cooking vids
“Yes” -Lorenzo
😂😂❤️
Its nice to see Drew Barrymore on Epicurious 😂
These are not my idea of meatloaf but definitely interesting to watch!
“I thought that was an animal!” 😂
I love all the instructions that are super clear that Fatima is explaining ❤
I like her and all but im spoiled by the personalities of saul and frank 🤣
He shoulld have his own show. Awesome.
Lorenzo did so well.
This should be called, "Fatima makes meatloaf two different ways."
She can cook! I'm definitely trying the stock trick in my next meatloaf
When in doubt, make a mini version of it.
Whenever I see Lorenzo, I click!!! 💖
lorenzo my favorite!!!!
Please give us more Chef King.
@14:45 The potato rosti looks in entirely different.
It's the underside
This is one of those meals where high class ingredients don’t do it justice.
OMG RÖSTI - hehe didnt expect to see swiss food
Watching this video like 😂🍳 Can't wait to burn down my kitchen!
I feel you kuya lorenzo that was impolite to unskin the chicken. Haha
So what was the hardest part for you?
Lorenzo: YES 👀
Ahahahahha he’s the best
Uh, she made rösti the traditional Swiss way.
As a swiss, i say well done! 👌
Meatloaf? Blah….but you guys turned into something amazing! This is one of my favourite videos to date! Cheers!
Such a fun video ... But where is Rose?
According to IMDB, Lorenzo is cast as a chef character in the new Disney Haunted Mansion movie👀
How do you make a turkey meatloaf with a chicken?
Oh no, he put the entire tamarind block in the water. That is too much. And he didn't even break it so it won't rehydrate in the center.
I also thought the brioche loaf was an animal, like pork. LOL
lol same
I believe this is the first time on the Internet that I have heard Worcestershiresauce pronounced the way that I would think is correct.
Wuster-shire or wuster-sheer
Fatima is fantastic, on par with Frank
But Lorenzo is the GOAT
Lorenzooooo
I would love a competition between chefs 😊
Chef Fatima's voice is like miley Cyrus's viral meme video 😂
9:45 he's a hoot lol
Lorenzo: Turkey Meatloaf with mashed potatoes.
Fatima: (same thing with fancier name)
My onion mixturrrreeeee
Lorenzo needs a pay raise, like ASAP, before he decides to start his own YT thing, as almost all of BA’s former staff did
With all due respect: That's some greasy, sorry-looking rösti!
i add rice to my meatloaf with bread crumbs onions salt pepper then run of ketchup over top while cooking.
Woostear - this is how you say it
I would love to see swap ingredients for vegan dishes :)
Please, repeat after me: “woostuhsher” sauce.
