Liverpool is in good hands. Brendan Rodgers is one of my favorite coaches, and Liverpool made an excellent decision. Congratulations. Now, Liverpool fans please be patient and give him all the support he needs.
over the last decade or so we have appeared in 2 CL finals winning 1 (and another CL semi final), we have won the uefa cup (and a semi final), won the european super cup (twice), appeared in 3 F.A cup finals winning 2, appeared in 4 league cup finals winning 3 and appeared in the world club championship final. most clubs would be proud of that haul over a 100 year history but at liverpool fc that is us in our `wilderness years`. that`s the difference between this club and all the others.
coming from a swansea fan, I know how much of a good manager he is! amazing man manager and a great eye for talent! he will get the respect of the big players, and will get you playing good football, gutted to lose him, but brilliant for liverpool, give him time and he'll win you trophies!

Exactly, Daglish was appointed due to his name not his managerial stats. Its more the 'Kenny factor' than his ability as a manager, which makes him a favourite with the fans. Like you said, if people thought like that guy Mouriniho would still be a translator and Villas-Boas a technical staff.
King Kenny said we have to support who ever is replacing him. But, without King kenny saying it. I would give my 100% support to Brendan Rodgers. I got a feeling he will bring us our glory back. YNWA.

Thing is under Kenny I get the feeling that even after a bad performance Kenny would still give the players a pat on the back, it never felt last year like Kenny was striving for the top 4 which we so need. Kenny will always be the king but I think Brendan could return us to the level that we should be hopefully anyway!!
I can see something in his eyes i haven't seen since Benitéz.. With all due respect to Kenny and Roy, i think Liverpool need a young and talentful manager, who hasn't experienced that much yet, and if you can bring Swansea to be a great side in the PL, you ARE a great manager. I'm optimistic!
Rodgers I think is the right man to put confidence into the team, especially Henderson and Enrique. They both have the talent but needs more confidence. Look at how much Carroll has improved these last few weeks.
This man knows what he is talking about but he's got a tough job ahead because I can imagine one of his goals for this season coming is a top 4 finish and yes it is the managers responsibility to do this but the players have to want it as well, they will have to fight this season like the old Liverpool teams used to. Its along term appointment. I personally believe and hope we have gotten our Wenger/Fergie. Someone to stay for the future, and bring lots of success. He definitely a brilliant manger with great tactical and man management skills. kennys problem with liverpool was the amount of money spent on developing players, and his rusty managment skills, have great respect for him no matter what, remember lads every great manager has to start somewhere, and i hope brendan will settle in nicely, sign a few decent players, and become one of liverpool fc greats
I agree, you can tell in a press conference how intelligent a manager is/can be, for instance Keen at Bburn always ran into trouble, but Rodgers has a bit of a swagger and intelligence about how he talks. Hopefully it'll rub off on the players!

This is a bloke who can really build something here, and something true to the soul of this wonderful club. I'm really excited to see how we get started. Well for a start you're watching the new Liverpool manager so solidity may take a few months, he has brought with him his backroom staff from Swansea so that to me shows loyalty. He did also manage to out play you guys last season. I think the difference with wenger as nice as Asernal's football is, they lack bite and Rodgers seems to have a good mix of both style and passion the latter being something I think French people lack in general..

I'm glad he was appointed. But I think some people have too high expectations.4th spot is still gonna be really difficult to obtain. What are we gonna do if we come sixth? Are we all gonna call for him to be sacked and start the whole process all over again? To improve on last season I think we need a quality midfielder. He doesn't need to be that expensive(around 15mill), he just needs to have a bit of creativity because I think that's what we're lacking at the moment.
Great appointment in my opinion, even better that other fans have already written us off too. Club in crisis? I think not, knows his stuff, just needs to implement it and we're laughing! Just spend whatever gets spent carefully and I'll have no complaints!
