I know, i've loved his press interviews but this was something else- a real pleasure to be involved, and hopefully a real pleasure for all reds to watch!
Because I felt we as Liverpool fans have had a few too many kicks in the teeth this past week, and I want every Liverpool fan in the world to be able to see this interview. Plus the audio is freely available on TAW, so it would be mercenary of me to put this behind the paywall. Oh and we do a 2 hour show every week, with loads of other genuinely exclusive stuff. If people want to subscribe then that's awesome, if not that's their decision and i respect that.
Exactly. His passion is incredible. He also did a big bit on tactics that we've had to keep secret for now- but it was mind blowing how astute a tactical coach he is.
Would be INTRIGUED to hear another one of these open-mic, honest interviews sometime soon. Answer the fans! In hindsight two years ago I absolutely loved this interview, now I'm laughing my way through it
Brilliant interview. Glad to you guys and TAW asking him serious questions. Hope there's more to come and makes it even more exciting to be a supporter when we have a manager that's a class act.
Really like Brendan's honesty and attitude. He is a really genuine guy who is honest with the club, fans and media. Hope he stays on for long and we manage to climb back to Europe's elite, where we essentially belong. YNWA
The comment BR made about players having to show him something every day, not just if they get 20 minutes of game time in is what I think a lot of people overlooked about Andy Carroll. A lot of people were saying he didn't get enough of a chance, but he very well could have squandered any chance of getting substantial time by not working hard enough in training. Great interview so far. Looking forward to part two.
i have 2 say... BR is the most well spoken manager i have seen at liverpool... in the last 8 years since i actually knew what football meant... we have had a terrible start to the season and we he talks, hes just so impressive... it doesnt fell that way when he was sat there talking... i really think he could become an liverpool ledgend...
I think he's a good guy with a clear vision. Media outlets like The Redmentv and TAW are 3rd party opinions that I like to hear so I was happy for the interview. When a year passes and we've made no strides to get anywhere from 8th place, then we'll be on the same page. I think he's proven enough to get our backing, plus he's OUR manager. Get used to it mate.
The man was only meant to give us 10mins, but he had such a good time that he stayed for an hour. It will end up as good PR, but only becasue he's such a top bloke.
Dalglish was a genius player,my idol as a kid. Loved him as manager...to a point. He was not responsible for half our leagues etc. He was part of a team. A great team. Hearing brendan talk, he's smart, got us going right now, patience needed thats all.
I wasn't happy when BR got the job but I have to eat my words now,we are very lucky to have a man like this a Liverpool. It will take time but this imo is the best signing Liverpool have done in years.
I am always and have been a LIverpool fc fan I love the reds and its dishearting how we look right now and new style and that I hope Rodgers re build the Reds back to the Glory days I miss those days for sure its been a bit now. Its good to hear from Rodgers himself he sounds like a good Manager
I really like this guy, Brendan Rogers. I've never really warmed to Houllier, Benitez or Kenny (as a manager) and dont even dare mention the current England coach. But this guy is different, he's got that something special goin on. He really needs our support now. The night is darkest just before the dawn. Hope is not lost yet, comments suggesting him sacked is ridiculous. He needs time, we are not Man City or Chelsea, there's no way we can change overnight.
"Gerrard is done". I think you're getting a little ahead of yourself. He's not the all action Istanbul 25 year old anymore, and he's not been great so far this year, but the guy is still a class act.
I think they will, but right now it's about getting the club back on track financially. Hopefully the kids can prove their worth this season and save us a packet next summer!
Will be a Liverpool Legend. This man is the best manager after Paisley, the goods will come. Maybe not in first one or two seasons, but it will come! YNWA
I agree completely apart from Benitez being involved in the list. He was an outstanding manager and did great job with what he had. But then the new owners came and well... you know the rest. But totally agree I've got a good feeling about Rodgers you can tell he means business and given time he will be great for the club.
I wasnt having a dig about subscription. Happy to pay it.. But if TAW have free audio download and you have exclusive video, it would make more financial sense for this to be behind paywall.
Not the best start to the season by any means, but i know, with his idea's philosophy and eye for talent (look at the current Swansea squad) he will be one of the best managers. I will support him to the end, because he makes me believe. YNWA Brendan!
Evidence= part 1 and 2 of this interview. BR is classy, tactically savvy, and dedicated to doing things the right way to build a sustainable model of success. Just listen to him talk about the club and the tactical side of the game!
Absolutely, but i just can't stop thinking that our lack or fire power up front will cost us dearly this season. I hope BR manages to put some sense in to Suarez, the man needs to learn to take his chances
Sorry you feel that way kidda. There's another team across Stanley Park that's doing really well this instant if you can't wait around for us to be "good" again....
Bio Shock Imagine actually posting that comment lol!!! Did you wait 8 months? Or wait for Liverpool to be under your team of support? :P Or both!? BAHAHAHA!!!
You remember Roy Hodgson right? Having a manger who not olny knows his shit, but can talk passionately at length about it is a step in the right direction. Results will come.
I really think BR has done quite a good job already, we have been playing decent football already, it usually takes us 10 or so minutes for us to find our feet, but once we do we run the game. Its in the second half that we lose that dominance, and our forwards aren't able to capitalise during our dominance. I can't blame Suarez alone for this, there are times where he should have put the ball into the net, but he is getting a lot of difficult balls played to him. Good luck BR, YNWA
I'm a Man Utd supporter and even I can see that if this guy is given time he will be great for Liverpool. I miss the days when Liverpool were challenging Man Utd for dominance in England football
He's not fast enough to play wide, not deadly enough to play through the middle, not Gerrard enough to play in Attacking mid... I'm saying this but i really like Pacheco as a player- hope he gets some games.
good luck Brendon, with a bit of nouse, investment, and managerial know-how, you might one day again elevate Liverpool into the top 5 in the league. Up the hill boys, up the hill.
FSG have to show more commitment to LFC, i agree with SOS its pivitol we need a chairman that resides in Liverpool rather then coming over when ever it suits them, also FSG have no clue on valuations spending over the odds last season and then missing out on an extra striker by a million means something not right internally, i was sad to see KK leave as i wanted him to suceed and felt he deserved more time however i am inpressed with BR and confident he will bring us success LFCLifer
rodgers seems very promising i hope he is given a good amount of time to sort out the club. i feel that roy hodgson followed by kenny wasn't the best managerial change. I'm sure if kenny had more time he would have done well.
we never were... I appreciate the acknowledgment we're getting somewhere with Brendan but there has never been a time when both United and Liverpool were challenging consistently against eachother
I think he just needs time out on the pitch, he looked deadly in pre-season & he got the Golden Boot a few years back. He's just another option upfront considering our lack of strikers & he fits the new system perfectly in terms of his knowledge of the game. Who where they playing?
The buys Kenny made. Liverpool were so vunerable at this time, had they had a manager who had made good buys with the money it would be so different right now. Had they got Brendan when they had all that money.. it would have been frightening. Anyway, if they keep Brendan they'll be fine. This guy knows how to run a club, he knows how to get his team to play and he just knows what he's doing. He'll gradually get rid of the dead wood and build a formidable team as more funds come in each summer.
It took Shankly a long time to instill his philosophy but we all know the result. I'm not comparing BR to that but yes I do like his style, I believe he's sincere and I do think he can bring the club back to where it belongs.
Anyone really felt warm to Rafa? He was cold. I liked him as the master tactician that he was, and he liked reminding us with his notebook scribbling but rarely do we see anything beyond that. He was like a robot at times, but that is also what made him special back then.
And yet every Blue I spoke to at the end of last season wanted him or Paul Lambert to replace Moyes if he went to Spurs, and a lot of then even if he didn't.
He will be great, he is fantastic coach and will become great manager, but owners need to back him in the transfer market, for the top spots they need to invest money. The team will play better under him but this year top 4 is very hard.
I have full faith in Rodgers even if we finish in the bottom half of the table this season I'm giving him time. It's going to take awhile to recover from the Dalglish's damage. When Rodgers talks about spending millions on players who can't play football we all know who are the many names he's referring to. It's heartbreaking the money we've wasted.
I think BR can take 2 more losses in a row, after that he would consider quitting himself, not because he's done bad, but the players has been awful. We NEED BR in the coming years, he is an excellent coach and cannot be judged by immediate results. He will take us to the top
I agree that no one deserves this kind of money but when you consider that other players, such as joe cole and others that are earning around the same money he is all of sudden worth in my opinion what he is being played
"They have to have the talent & the personality"...*cough* Pacheco *cough*...i've seen his got the talent in him & following him on twitter I know his heart is in this club, even when on loan he always wanted to prove himself at the club and followed Liverpool every game...why is he not playing then? o_O
Brendan isnt stupid. Like he said, at swansea, front 3 all wingers. Yet look at all the goals they scored. Could u name them? The system worked, dont need 3 top strikers, just a great system with good players who understand it. If our "fans" did there research went to games, watched the reserves, ud see its gonna happen. Just trust him, patience.
this is a brilliant interview
I know, i've loved his press interviews but this was something else- a real pleasure to be involved, and hopefully a real pleasure for all reds to watch!
No problem, glad to have it!
Because I felt we as Liverpool fans have had a few too many kicks in the teeth this past week, and I want every Liverpool fan in the world to be able to see this interview. Yeah lads, top class. Blahaha

This man is just pure class. No matter what happens this season we need to be behind him. Bright future for LFC with this man at the helm. YNWA

i know, it's why we put it our for free. Hopefully puts a few smiles back!
we need more interviews like these ..
Absolutely won over by the man, genuine, honest and ambitious. The future is bright, it may take time but he is definitely the man for the job. YNWA
I don't know about anyone else, but I could listen to BR talk tactics all damn day long! YNWA In Brendan Rodgers We Trust
wow thanks for uploading these man cheers !!!
I wasn't happy when BR got the job but I have to eat my words now,we are very lucky to have a man like this a Liverpool. It will take time but this imo is the best signing Liverpool have done in years.
This man has an aura and makes everyone around him listen to him and take every word he says for granted.
this is great stuff.. Happy to hear from the manager unedited :D
By the way he speaks to the media so openly.... This is our man to take us forward! Y.N.W..A
Thanks for this Redmen, sound!
He said Suso we will get a chance indirectly. Like how he chooses his words, it prevents the media from twisting them.
Rodgers is a class act. Will be at Liverpool for a very long time. Good luck Brendan.
Well said!
I am always and have been a LIverpool fc fan I love the reds and its dishearting how we look right now and new style and that I hope Rodgers re build the Reds back to the Glory days I miss those days for sure its been a bit now. Its good to hear from Rodgers himself he sounds like a good Manager
he is very genuine guy and u can see he loves football with a passion, lets hope the team picks up on his style.
Can't wait to Suso come in, good that he mentioned him.
I really like this guy, Brendan Rogers. I've never really warmed to Houllier, Benitez or Kenny (as a manager) and dont even dare mention the current England coach. Never let it be said that I put my financial well being before the mental health of the LFC online community! ;)
Top man Brendan! fans needs to be patient
Love it! Give him time.
im just so exited for the likes of suso, pacheco, morgan etc. also shelvey played outstanding for the england u21 today :D
Seems like a top bloke, hope the fans & upstairs give him the time he needs.
Will be a Liverpool Legend. This man is the best manager after Paisley, the goods will come. Maybe not in first one or two seasons, but it will come! YNWA
It might be a poor start but we need to get right behind Brendan Rodgers, give him some time and we will be back! Our time is arriving soon! YNWA
A loyal and humble man u supporter :) makes my day
Borini is basically taking one for the team by covering wide right- if we adapt the system expect to see him an Suarez competing.
this guy is brilliant.. he has a great vision..
he will improve..!
pride to have him as manager
I agree completely apart from Benitez being involved in the list. He was an outstanding manager and did great job with what he had. But then the new owners came and well... you know the rest. I wasnt having a dig about subscription. Happy to pay it.. But if TAW have free audio download and you have exclusive video, it would make more financial sense for this to be behind paywall.
great manager keep up the good work
Not the best start to the season by any means, but i know, with his idea's philosophy and eye for talent (look at the current Swansea squad) he will be one of the best managers. I will support him to the end, because he makes me believe. YNWA Brendan!
everything he says is so perfect, thanks for getting me all excited before I go to sleep!! haha
Evidence= part 1 and 2 of this interview. BR is classy, tactically savvy, and dedicated to doing things the right way to build a sustainable model of success. Just listen to him talk about the club and the tactical side of the game!
ur videos are becoming really professional... great job guys on not having a phone signal in the video this time haha
yeah hes doing simply fantastic job.
Absolutely, but i just can't stop thinking that our lack or fire power up front will cost us dearly this season. I hope BR manages to put some sense in to Suarez, the man needs to learn to take his chances
In Brendan Rodgers We Trust! YNWA
Sorry you feel that way kidda. There's another team across Stanley Park that's doing really well this instant if you can't wait around for us to be "good" again....
We've come a very long way in such a short space of time. Fingers crossed we stay 1st and win the title!
BAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAAHAHHAAHA!!!!!!!!!.... Sorry, couldn't help myself. Nice position in the league you have there XD
Bio Shock Imagine actually posting that comment lol!!! Did you wait 8 months? Or wait for Liverpool to be under your team of support? :P Or both!? BAHAHAHA!!!
gmaster9793 Do you think I spend my life waiting for my team to be above Liverpool?? What the actual fuck.... LMAO! Whatever keeps you happy pal.
You remember Roy Hodgson right? Having a manger who not olny knows his shit, but can talk passionately at length about it is a step in the right direction. Results will come.
I think this season is about consolidating us as a Europa League side, then pushing on next year.
We have 6 midfielders (when Lucas is fit) for 3 spaces. Expect rotation.

Give him time lads !
Agreed!
I recognise One of the voices from the andield wrap podcast
I'm a Man Utd supporter and even I can see that if this guy is given time he will be great for Liverpool. I miss the days when Liverpool were challenging Man Utd for dominance in England football
When was that? Man U were in the 2nd division most of the time thru the 80s n 70s
He's not fast enough to play wide, not deadly enough to play through the middle, not Gerrard enough to play in Attacking mid... I'm saying this but i really like Pacheco as a player- hope he gets some games.

You cant ignore the negatives. We will need at least 12/21 of our next points if we are to make top 8

And yet every Blue I spoke to at the end of last season wanted him or Paul Lambert to replace Moyes if he went to Spurs, and a lot of then even if he didn't.
o yeah the fuzzy bit. i get you.
really hope it can be arsenal liverpool and utd again going for the title next season like 08-09, too bad chelsea and city exist
In Rodgers we trust!
Who was the fella with who asked a question at around 16:30 ??
Class comment mate, take care! YNWA
"Where's the Arteta money Bill?"
Pleasure =D
That January This Legend Went On To Sign The Main Man Daniel Sturridge
Please play Suso!
Name one other manager who does things like this. Rodgers is a fucking boss.
Rodgers for president.
He will be great, he is fantastic coach and will become great manager, but owners need to back him in the transfer market, for the top spots they need to invest money. The team will play better under him but this year top 4 is very hard.

Suarez or Henderson?
We sold any Carroll for 25 mil. Only 10 mil lost, plus... he got Henderson and suarez
@@MarcJenningstv wow, ok then yeah. King Kenny was crap as a manager,
I think BR can take 2 more losses in a row, after that he would consider quitting himself, not because he's done bad, but the players has been awful. We NEED BR in the coming years, he is an excellent coach and cannot be judged by immediate results. He will take us to the top
ok cant we put downing on the right then sterling on the left or the other way round?
agree
on a saturday, a sunday, or a thursday... *sigh* haha He's already a legend as far as I'm concerned
I agree that no one deserves this kind of money but when you consider that other players, such as joe cole and others that are earning around the same money he is all of sudden worth in my opinion what he is being played
"They have to have the talent & the personality"...*cough* Pacheco *cough*...i've seen his got the talent in him & following him on twitter I know his heart is in this club, even when on loan he always wanted to prove himself at the club and followed Liverpool every game...why is he not playing then? o_O
