It's sad really. He is actually a damn good manager, you can see his work at leicester and Celtic. His work is incredible. Had he won that close title race, we would be seeing a different story. Props to him for still doing better after his liverpool sack.
True but his signings in 2014 on the back off the title challenge were genuinely awful.

Liverpool becoming Tottenham, you know how bad the situation was when you hear that. Glad we've turned it around.
To be fair tottenham had consistently outperformed them for most of the decade. From 2010 - 2018 Liverpool only finished above tottenham once in 13-14 when they were one Gerard slip away from a title. They had dropped further then that and really become the equivalent of Everton which would hurt a lot more. Klopp now has them legitimately considered the best team in europe over the last couple of seasons. Has been a massive turn around.
Ironically that was the year Tottenham finished 3rd and challenged Leicester for the Title.
@@David-_-_- what is with Tottenham fans and Liverpool? Spurs have never out performed Liverpool in that time because they've never won anything.
'oh yeah but we came 5th and you came 7th that year and another year we came 3rd and you came 4th'
Nobody since 1961 has cared too much about Spurs... And as for the year Leicester won the league well done you finished 3rd in a two horse race lol.
@@kopthelotklopp1523 Phill Brown what a name 🤣🤣🤣
“One slip away from the title” is such a farce. We blew a 3-0 lead to palace. That cost us more than the slip. Quit trying to diminish what Gerrard did in his career by defining him by one moment.
Klopp was the best signing of the last 30 years.
I know this is a joke n that, but Klopp was out of contract

Arsenal are worse, by a long mile. How they have fallen, is ridiculous.
Nah Arsenal r worse
jai8star How Lol. Look at that Liverpool 11 under Klopp and ours now, I’d compare us more to Chelsea 2015-2016. We have a good goalie, Auba, Pepe, etc.. Liverpool had no one of genuine quality beyond coutinho

What Rodgers did at Liverpool was amazing . People forget how bad Lfc were to watch during the last year of Benitez and after.. he brought a good style of play ..and re-energized the club.

What Klopp did at Liverpool was clearly better.

Best decision Liverpool ever made lol. Since then, Champions League and Premier League Champions.
The same for Brendan done amazing at Celtic and now at Leicester doing very well
@@johnsmith7759 - Yeah, winning the SPL with Celtic is the same as winning the CL and PL with Liverpool. LOL!
It wasn’t a good decision for Liverpool. You have to consider the problems Branden leaving has had on the club, they did suffer. Also Brendan could’ve easily won those trophies Klopp won and more, Brendan also had a good effect on Moreno you can’t forget that ever whereas Klopp got rid of Moreno
Took you some time to get there though.
Dave Mitch I didn’t say it was the same
Lmao, pause at 0:23 look at Henry's hand and carraghers face, Priceless.
Everyone has seen it a thousand times it's actually a huge gif
Well at least this time, his hand doesn't involve cheating a national team out of a world cup
What a throwback, to think this was only in 2015 and we're in a position where we've won the PL and the CL and now our goal is to dominate and create more history. Unbelievable turnaround really, in a short space of time. We're now currently the best team in the world!! Build Klopp's statue
I wish someone was as tender and assuring to me, as Thierry was to Jamie
Liverpool not winning the league under Rodgers was a blessing in disguise.
The Gerrard slip*
Greatest thing in recent history to happen to the club.
Bruh that makes no sense. If they had won the title, they would have won the title 4 years before Klopp did... Making that the original blessing in the first place!

Honestly looking back it’s crazy how far Liverpool have come since this moment. They were a laughing stock back then barring that one season, but that was an odd one because every top 4 team was in a transition year more or less hence why Leicester won the league. Hats off to Juergen klopp.
Liverpool Is Becoming Like Tottenham, damn poor Tottenham 😁
Can you explain what you mean. (I'm a spurs fan.)
he’s referencing when Carra in the video said that Liverpool (in 2015) were like Spurs, think they’re a big club but in reality none of the big clubs really worry about them or what they’re doing because they’re not a big club
You have to be insane to think Liverpool isn't a big club. It's the most profitable club in England. Sold more kits than any other club as well. It's always been a massive club. It's just now they finally have a squad and manager that are beasts.

Klopp wanted to take a break after Dortmund gig and was not gonna be persuaded over the summer.

From 'turning into Tottenham' i. e. mid table mediocrity and a 'selling club' to 'Champions of Everything' Klopp has done an amazing job
This was the biggest turning point for Liverpool. Looking back now this is the best thing that could have happened. Shocking at the time, but oh man what a journey we have been on since then. YNWA.
The club's form 2009-2015 was such a slog, especially during it's darkest time during the Hodgson era.
FSG made the right decision here and credit to them
The way Henry touch Carragher leg really touch my heart... 💝
I remember this day so clearly. Didn't realize at the time how seismic it would eventually turn out to be, but I remember really feeling it was a "crossroads" moment for the direction of the club, in terms of who they opted for. My wildest expectations have been met, and surpassed! :)
Whoever makes these videos - put the original date of the video in the description!
Ha2... i believe sky has sour grape.
as a liverpool supporter i would like to see that klopp guy at the kop, i heard he is free right now after leaving dortmund hope they hire him.
Idk a bit overrated imo I think they'll for sure regret leaving Rodgers.
Of course Klopp is good, no doubt but Idk if he can win you a title in next few years but I'm sure he can at least win you a title !!!
Nah I think Klopp is shit tbh, will probably sell off Coutinho for some no name Southampton centre back, a Chelsea reject, some no name Brazilian GK and a random Senegalese donny. You wont win a thing imo
You all funny 😂
Klopp is Mr. Runner up guys..y'all knew that, right?..poor liverpool
0:23 became a great meme
Henry reaction is priceless he wants to burst out his laugh it seems
AND THUS THE ATTITUDE ERA WAS BORN
Rodgers is a top manager, he was very unlucky in his second season at Liverpool, he lost Suarez to Barcelona and Sturridge to long term injury. Who both scored a combined 50+ goals the season before, any Manager would struggle.
And don't forget it's gerrard fault to slip in chelsea match.
His team conceded 52 goals that season and he did nothing about it. Terrible manager who was dragged to within an inch of the title by Suarez.
Sacking Rodgers was going out of comfort zone for high scoring liverpool but hiring Klopp had been a masterclass... a sort of genious thing board made in years...
Henry’s reaction is hilarious 😂
It's so weird hearing Carra talk about the club being run poorly by the owners. These days, even rival supporters say they wish their clubs were run as well as Liverpool and praise FSG. I guess it just shows how far we've come and how quickly FSG learned from their mistakes.
"Liverpool are becoming Tottenham" 😂
RUclips roasting Henry ,lololol 🤣🤣
I remember back then. I always question brendan games. Yes sometimes we got the good result. But im not satisfied with the performance.
Then klopp in charge. The result still uncertain. But the way of the game is much better. Even when liverpool loss i said to my friends what a game. They laugh. Because of the result. Fast forward. Yes, it paid off.
I think with beautiful games and right players the result surely much much better. Whats the point if you got good players but the tactical suck? Whats the point if you got good tactical but the players cant deliver what the manager demand?
I think klopp just right for liverpool. He build foundation. 2 times ucl finalist. Consistent results in epl. I think klopp might be someone that can bring title at least 1 trophy every season.
The greatest decision in modern lfc history
Better than hiring Klopp?
FSG made the right call. Jurgen Klopp transformed the club after this.
Henry reaction: "BLIND ME...!!" 😂😂😂
The eastenders them tune cliff hanger meme when Henry sympathised Charager was the best for it's time.
A life changing opportunity will only knock on your door once. Whether you let it go or grab it with both hands depends on how emotionally bogged down you are or whether you are ruthless and smart enough to understand the immense positive implications it can have.
Liverpool was smart enough to understand it with regard to Klopp. As much as I hate their current success , Liverpool was smart enough to not have missed a trick then.
(From a Man United fan).
Jamie's honesty made me respect him, even as a United fan. Now seeing him happy and cherishing soo much the title, I can understand. One of the best pundits out there.
He and Gary's relationship is wonderful as well.
Love the way Henry is looking at Carragher's face for a reaction, lol.
Greame Souness at the start of the video: Stunned by the sacking, commented that timing of sacking "amazing" (being that it was just the start of the season.
