Face Unlock should start working when you select region setting to France, Italy, Spain, Belgium or Poland in Europe - if you have the global version of the Poco F1.

Nice review, for an even nicer smartphone. But to be fair, the face unlock is easily fixable by setting your region to another one (like Belgium or France, where it is available). And to be honest that face unlock is easily one of the major surprises of this phone, it is so fast I don't even use my fingerprint anymore.
I paid 20 pounds (or so) less for the 64gb version... I don't know whether I'm OK with that or not (but I did get it pretty much the week it was released)
None of the problems you specified are relevant in the Indian version of poco however the only problem which stands true is that Miui is not the best ui to have running on your phone
Both the phones have almost the same hardware specs but samsung s9 plus build and features easily tramples over pocophone. You basically downgraded your phone.
If you are willing to go through trouble of flashing custom ROM, then poco + lineage OS 16 is amazing. install gcam on top of it and enjoy pixel 3 quality photography
That's one of the reasons that I'm hesitant to buy the Pocophone. It seems troublesome to flash an OS onto the phone and then having to maintain security/general updates. I'm trying to decide whether or not MIUI is really a problem for people or if they're just hard to please though (or they're used to using one a specific OS).

While the best processor spot has been taken by the Snapdragon 855+, it isn't THAT huge of a difference. The 845 is still a best SoC. Price wise however, it is easily the best flagship grade phone you can get hands down. I'm using it right now lol

I got mine 2 weeks ago and so far I'm very happy with it. I do miss wireless charging but for $340 (128gb) I can't complain. I live in the US and I get 4G on both SIM cards. I used to carry two phones but since it has two 4G SIM cards I only have to carry one phone now
Everything you said is true, using this phone for 3 months, great phone for 270€, 3 full days battery life, IR face unlock works great in all conditions (change region to UK and it will work!), fast charge is plus, Sd 845 beats every phone :)

A lot of the downsides are fixed through flashing another rom like LineageOS or Pixel Experience. Getting away from MIUI was my first priority when I got the Pocophone. IR Face unlock works perfectly fine in custom ROMs. If you want it to work in MIUI (regardless of where you are), just change your region.
One of the reason i bought poco is because the back is not glass, if it's glass i usually want them to be seen and ended up not using case, lmao, that's just my weird choice

I have this phone for over three months and I love it . Watch Netflix on my phone ,naw too small so that's not a problem .Speakers ,usually use headphones so that's not a problem either and if I really want volume I'll bring a bluetooth speaker. Notifications sorry I absolutely love that there are fewer and as an Engineer in a highly stressful environment less notifications is better .Really if you are waiting for notifications you probably don't need them ,people who need you will call. For me the control freak I need an insanely fast and cheap phone which I can exchange every year and a half to two . I have absolutely no complaints and my phone's ai works great with Google and others . This is a killer phone worth every cent ,not for kids or people who have extra money but a work horse which does it for me .

Im using pocophone F1 Its a real absolute very fast and curious mobile phone i ever had its budget phone but it can conquer our all needs in one way ... ill be a life time pocophone lover ♥️
The only drawback is just the screen responsiveness, resulting in occasional typo. Other than that, this phone is PERFECT. Battery life is amazing, full day intense use leave me with 20-30% capacity at night. QC 3.0 also works great, no more overnight charging. Simply charge it when you take a shower in the morning. Recent update gives 960 fps slowmo and upgraded night shots. Best valued phone so far, satisfied with my purchase of Poco F1.
Hi I am in Spain right now and Netflix on the F1 looks HD to me. Even better if you çan handle 2 rounded corners -Attenborough on Netflix expanded to make full use of the wider screen. Also the Pixel 3 phone app on the F1 makes a big difference to photography. Like you I am long term testing and am still very enthusiastic. My review should be up in the next couple of days.

All the gripes in the video especially face unlock can be fixed by changing the region to one of those that it's currently available in. India for example. I honestly prefer my Poco f1 over any other phone even my note 9. Except when I need to use the s pen or for watching movies. The note 9 screen is gorgeous. As for 4g. I rather carry around one of those devices that offers 4g LTE and connect to it. Thus saving the heavy drain 4g has on phones.
4:51 play store exists on the phone. 5:32 go to settings > Additional settings > Region and change it to India or any other country you want. Absolutely nothing on the phone would change except the working face unlock.
I'm pretty sure the pocophone has LTE support in the US. At least according to their official Amazon listing... I've also found some videos confirming LTE works on AT&T, however, it doesn't work on T-Mobile, as stated on their Amazon listing.

Hey boss, do you have a screen protector on your phone? I got one from Amazon, and due to it, I could not see the screen with my polarized sunglasses on. I got a different brand screen protector and it worked just fine with my glasses. I use my phone for gps while driving daily so being able to see it portrait mode was important. Check if it's your screen protector instead of the screen.
I bought Poco F1 in the first week of launch. I am surprised he didn't talk about the scratches it gets on the screen. There are two huge thumb spots on my screen now.
For all the people who are asking if it is worth buying, please buy it without a second thought. I am using a basic black version (6, 64) . Also the face id works like a charm in India .

I have that case. It squeezes the screen protector and brakes it. That happens with out dropping it every two weeks.

It does support playstore. Where did you get this idea that it doesn't? It comes with Google Play store preinstalled.

Hey boss, do you have a screen protector on your phone? I got one from Amazon, and due to it, I could not see the screen with my polarized sunglasses on. I got a different brand screen protector and it worked just fine with my glasses.
I use my phone for gps while driving daily so being able to see it portrait mode was important. Check if it's your screen protector instead of the screen.
I bought Poco F1 in the first week of launch. I am surprised he didn't talk about the scratches it gets on the screen. There are two huge thumb spots on my screen now.
For all the people who are asking if it is worth buying, please buy it without a second thought. I am using a basic black version (6, 64) . Also the face id works like a charm in India .

About widewine L1: Xiaomi managed to deal with the company and now the software update is coming to all Pocophones in a couple of weeks via OTA.
