Hi Kat. Yes, Stenzek has a habit of moving options about, after I release a video. How inconsiderate! Thanks for providing another way to get to per game settings.
7:28 this is said in the Progressive Scan list you linked, but in case anyone missed it, not every game will have Progressive Scan in the options, some of them requires holding Triangle + Cross as the game is booting up to activate it.
On an older PC, setting Rendering > Internal Resolution too high can reduce FPS, causing the animation to look like it's in slow motion. So even if your graphics card supports 1080p, you may want to reduce it to 900p to keep the frame rate at around 30 FPS or better.

I'd love to see you make a video on how to setup those PNACH cheat files for PCSX2 and do it for dummies like me so I can understand it lol. I've been using Codemaster cheats in my Retrobat build which, for those that don't know, basically Codemaster is it's own ISO and you just start it like any other game and then choose your game and codes from within it's game list, then start your game by "changing disc" after pressing "select" plus "X" on your controller to gain access to the PCSX2 menu. It sounds complicated but it's actually quite easy. It's just a lot of steps and I was thinking the PNACH cheat files way might be much quicker, but I'm a dummy at the same time,so I really don't know if they would be better than using my current method or not lol. Great tutorial though!👍

Yeah man, not a lot of people are willing to do the research and test the crap out of it. I just give the info that I want and everyone seems to like it. Seems like we are all on the same page when all the info is available.
there is one setting that really helps gran turismo 4 (or any other game that has this kinda issue), some tracks especially the night ones can make the headlights of the car to blink, the way to fix it is to use fractioned resolutions like 1.25,1.5,.1.75x etc, i set mine to 3.5x and looks great
I find it weird how God of War seems to look right with the WS patch but if turning WS on in-game, it doesn't look right? Edit: Someone told me to turn it on in-game, then set the display setting to widescreen without using the patch. That seems to work better 16:30 It seems to only affect the flickering edges that are close to each other, during movement. Jaggies (such as on the tree behind the house where you can see clear "stair steps" on the trunk) are affected by a higher internal resolution only I believe
3:45 that stretched the image, anyone non-blind should be able to see it. Progressive does not mean "not 4:3 anymore", the image size is always a case by case basis.
Also I must mention. "EE Cycle Rate" is something you might wanna turn up (mine's on 180%). This insures the games run at their max framerates all of the time with no dips. 100% emulates how the PS2 ran these games but personally I don't think emulation should be about accuracy but to get the best visuals and framerate possible and not play with the original console's limitations. If you have a REALLY old CPU you probably should keep it on 100%.
Turning up EE Cycle Rate globally must be done with caution. Some games are tied to the clockspeed, which can cause game-breaking events. Cranking up the fps isn't always the way to go.
Sadly all 3 of the Sly Cooper games have bad interlacing that even the patches do nothing to fix. They may fix it partially, but every so often it goes back to bouncing the logos and text again.
@Warped Polygon great video! What are your settings for the Recording tab. I have a few specs of pixels after the characters move on the recording, I just want to know what I can do about it. I have a question. So i was playing tomb raider legend, PAL version, and i see that the game did not run smooth (25fps). Then i saw an option to put in on PAL-60. Afther that the game runs alot better. So 60hz is 30fps? Does it changed the PAL version to NTSC, because that is 60Hz (30fps). There is no option in PCSX2 to run a resolution in 60Hz, at least i cound not find it. So it is better to play NTSC games instead of PAL games?
When PAL versions are running at 60hz, 25fps games become 30fps & 50fps games become 60fps. It's not converting it to the NTSC version, simply forcing 60hz onto the game. A lot of PAL versions at the time of the 50hz to 60hz crossover had options for both, some did not.
