Hi Rob and Mandy! I got my B1/B2 Visa in April this year! I just wanted to thank you for all the help. The biggest thing i learnt from the interview was just be YOU and dont be scared or nervous as long as your body language is confident. I went along with my parents and all 3 of us got the VISA issued. We all were honest, to the point and we were not at all nervous as we had nothing to hide. The added advantage was we all had some intl travel history to EU, Dubai, Singapore, Bali, Kuala Lumpur, UK. I, at that time was unmarried and was working in an IT company for 5+ years. So, guys dont give up and be confident and have a good body language!
Hi rob and mandy. Thank you somuch for all the insights. What really helped from your videos were that you explained different scenarios. But the one thing that really helped me while attending the interview was that I kept the answers elaborative and natural. MosT importantly being as genuine and honest with my intentions.
@@Jonmuhammad-u2d I got rejected b1/b2 thrice previously. But after watching Rob’s videos I understood several important things about why my visa got rejected previously. Based on my interview this time, I feel the following is a good starting point to consider. The last two points are the most important is what I feel. Step 1: have a clear purpose. Why you re travelling, when? How long? Step 2: Think of as many reasons as you can to return back to your home country. Rehearse the answers in as many different scnarios as possible. Because you need to emphasize more about your return than your purpose to travel. I am unmarried. But i told them that I have business setup in my home country, and also I have several property assets to manage. This was a strong reason for me to come back. Step 3: Do not give one word answers. Provide elaborate detailed precise answers for every question they ask. Step 4: It is completely Ok to be nervous. But do not have your answers scripted. Scripted answers are easy to spot. Step 5: Do carry any supporting documents. But do not under any circumstance force the officer to look into the documents. This will force him to reject your visa instantaneously. Step 6: (MOST IMPORTANT) Speak only the truth, and nothing but the truth.
Don't get discourage, I have a friend got denied twice but was able to get a visa on a 3rd try. If it's gods will then it will be given to you. Just remember, how you answer the consul’s questions matters. It can shape what they ask next. Make sure to highlight your ties to your home country. For example, if they ask, “How long will you stay in the U.S.?” don’t just say, “Three weeks.” Instead, explain it like this: “I’ll only be staying for three weeks because that’s the maximum leave I’m allowed from work.” This adds context and reinforces your commitment to returning home.
