  • I got to be honest I didn't think this tractor can do what it does. It's powerful and very nimble.
It was a life saver handling these logs up in Missouri.

I live on 1 acres and use mine almost everyday. This little tractor has saved me a lot of back breaking work

My 1025R is an awesome workhorse. I’m sure I stress it well beyond it’s specs. I also use it to haul logs out of the bush many 20 inch plus and it’s small enough to get into tight spaces I have almost 700 hours and only significant maintenance has been a battery change. Works great on my 40 acres

Thank you for this video. It was one of the reasons why I had an eye-opening experience about the small tractor. To keep it short, I bought one.🇺🇸🚜👍🏻

Thomas good to see you and your Dad still kicking the wood around! Yep That is my model 1025R - Noticed it has a Sun South dealer sticker on it - Bought mine in Gulfport - Thomas I have the drive on belly mower attachment (60") for mine and you mentioned that you wouldn't know why you would take off the front end loader - When mowing the yard I pop the FEL off otherwise you can't get very close to anything and it makes the front end turning a bit more unresponsive-

Chatgpt says that 10'x28" ash log is either 1800 lbs dry or 2350 lbs wet.

Bottom line you didn’t have to use your back. It was successful. One way I look at Tractors is this: If you have a small Tractor you have small implements. It takes you longer. If you have a bigger Tractor you have bigger implements. It takes less time. However the bigger the Tractor and implements the more $$$. Then the larger machine means a bigger Truck to haul it around and Trailer. More money. When is enough enough? I think a happy medium is good. But it’s fun to do your work with your equipment and make a good living at it. Very fulfilling. Good job buddy.

I have a 18 horse kabota...this compact tractors are work horses....I built my own forks to hook on the front bucket and lift 16 foot Doug fir logs 24 inches at the stump.... like you said it don't just lift them up but when I'm loading logs on the trailer I curl the forks up drive forward curl the forks down while raising the arms ...no ramp needed and I don't have to get on off the tractor to put on or take off the forks....I purchased my kabota new 10 years ago and just last week I did shear a hydraulic ram pin on the front bucket but that was nothing to repair.... kabota... John Deere...it don't matter...these tractors are nothing to scoff at

Clamp on Debris forks would make short work of loading the logs.

DO NOT BUY MADE IN CHINA!!!!! After a year parts are falling off due to not tightened right at the factory. JD uses Kubota tranny now. Height limiter on the 60" belly mower will wear out due to cheap extruded aluminum. My 2005 JD 2210 was built MUCH better and lasted 18 years. This one is a little over a year old and falling apart. JD does NOT care and will not warranty anything past 1 year.
