Actually, one of the most accurate signs of meth use besides the inability to remain still, is the movements of the high persons mouth. They move their lower jaw back and forth, and that leads to a huge looking lower jaw because it’s been moved forward and back & forth. Watch her face, especially her lower jaw. I’m surprised Middleton hasn’t held her in contempt of court from coming to court high, and for yelling out things during another persons turn to talk. If she were in an actual physical court, she might be removed, at the very least. Mike, a really good video that shows the deterioration of a person using their mugshots is called “faces of meth” here on RUclips. It’s real, sad, and sometimes very fast. Have you seen it?
Her first go around she was all lovie dovie! Yelp, she's high! Sad, unfortunately I have a son that has addictions, one being meth. One of the ingredients: battery acid, f..king really?
@@jkhtravelrn I've seen it in real life! Sickening!
@@jkhtravelrn it’s called gurning in the UK and the constant grinding of teeth combined with a lousy diet leads to teeth falling out and breaking
At the beginning of his session today, he spoke to his RUclips viewers. He thanked people for the nice cards and letters but he asked people to please not send him any gifts or trinkets. It’s a conflict of interest for judges to receive gifts.
It would be a conflict of interest if the defendants were sending him gifts, not fans of his. Being the type of person he is, I believe he just wants people to direct their attentions to other people for gift-giving.
Yes
@@willer3399 he'd probably be happier if ppl took that money and gave it to a county's charity instead, or even to the ppl's own county's charity.
@@willer3399 well he doesn't know who's sending him gifts so any of them could be defendants or involved in a case at some point - no one knows the future - but also they can't receive any gifts or favors from the public as it could be seen as improper
Yup and it makes sense in that you don’t want people buying influence but it’s frustrating because of course that is not the point for me. I will never appear before judge Bryant. 🤷♂️
Judge Middleton is so thoughtful. He addresses those in jail first so that they don't miss lunch. Their one thing to look forward to daily. 🤣 😊👍
Yay it’s green baloney time again
If you like bologna sandwiches which is what you get in jail. In prison the food is an upgrade!
Noticed that as well. Just when I thought I couldn't admire him more . . .

As a paralegal I really enjoy your commentary and the videos you post. It's nice that other people can see what Judge's and court staff deal with on a daily basis.
Thank You 😊
I admire Judge Middleton. He is always so calm and gracious. Your right these two should not be together.
Wonderful commentary Mike 🐶🥰😘💙🌻
Mike, I appreciate your compassion and your videos.
Always keep that compassion.
Awww thank you 😊
People that hold their cameras in their hands while on a Zoom court appearance should go straight to jail for at least a week.
Agreed
Mike, I watched most of this mornings court session and I was glad to see that the judge was finally giving out some jail time. Before the clip you are showing . As always you are doing a great job.
Judge Middleton always brings the goods
🙌
Always nice to see you in your lawyer costume.
😂
I'm not sure what the laws are in Michigan. But I was in a similar situation. My ex-roommate tried to kick me out of the apartment. My roommate knew the landlord personally. So when he wasn't working he wasnt paying rent but I was paying for the utilities and my half of the rent. When I started to call him out that he is being lazy because it had been a month and half and he still hadn't found a job. He threatened to kick me out because I was not on the lease that he told me not to worry about. Well even though I was not on the lease I had proof that I was paying rent and utilities for that address. So lawfully I was a tenant with no contract and if anything happened to the apartment I was not responsible for any damages. On top of that the judge said that there was no grounds for eviction seeing my roommate had no job and I was paying my half of the rent plus utilities. So the judge said the best thing would be to kickout my roommate and start a new lease with my name on it and if I get another roommate to put their name on it as well.
Fortunately for me a co workers sister left without saying anything so she needed a roommate and I moved in with her. Best thing that could have happened. Way better roommate then the last one. Lol!
👍
I lived with 2 guys while I saved to buy my own place. I worked with both. The place was in 1's name, I put the utilities in my name and the third's name wasn't on anything. The third, he was a dept manager at our work so he made 50% more than us. He too partied and blew his money and was always late with rent, always late with utilities. The electric bill was high due to heat pump and he owed me $1800. He had legal issues so he didn't deposit his paycheque but had me cash it for him. Well, I got fed up with fronting him the money for utilities so he signed over his paycheque for me one time and I didn't give him the funds. He flipped. I said "how long do I have to carry YOU? YOU Make 50% more than I do".
I had run ins with the guy whose name was on the lease so I had had enough and moved out.
Sure enough, the third was behind in rent 3 months, so he evicted him. He was also 3 months behind in utilities. I saw him in the lunch room one day freaking out because the third had taken a baseball bat to his car.
I said to him "sorry bucko, but you pushed me out, I wasn't the problem. You kept the wrong guy" lol
20:54 A comment was covering it up, but you can see where Paige said something but we didn't hear it. Judge Middleton finally muted that woman!!
can’t say I’m a huge fan of how the comments pop up and sit there - they need an auto-off timer (or be better managed) as on these zoom calls it covers up a third of the people…
Finally he told Ms. Spencer to hold still! It only took almost 15 minutes (14:57) hallelujah! Judge Middleton is awesome!
🙌😂
Yup ... She was definitely on the Marrakesh Express 😂
I watched this live and I was just like wow crazy as a firefighter here in LA I have been some knock down drag out domestic violence calls before but this one takes the cake.
🙌😂
Yes Mike, your analogy is correct. When they can't even control their bodies, it's a huge clue that there's some chemical flowing through their veins that they can't control and encompasses lies, excuses, abuse, neglect etc. It's sad.
0:20 it's NOT a motion, Mike.
It's an affidavit of FACT
After-David of troof and fact. And I hope it was notarized
😂😂😂
@@camckenzie You think they had it notorcized?😜
Not binding without a Bill of Lading. No Bill, no joinder.
😂
Judge Middleton is still my favorite judge. I watch him live sometimes and it’s usually pretty interesting. He has a fan club on Facebook that I joined lol.
Sorry I missed you live Mike, when that bottom middle screen kicked in, I thought it was the bears law guy!
😂
Well Mike you dress up smart for a motion: tie, buttons and all. Usually I just go for a motion in my normal clothes as my toilet doesn't have a dress code, but I didn't go to law school either. Or is this more a Michigan thing?
😂😂😂
The girl who is in jail doesn't seem to have any good options. She can't go home and the other woman is absolutely ridiculous.
Good luck ms Lennox
So horrifying to watch that woman laughing at the pain her friend is going through.
Agreed
I used to live in Sturgis. So good to hear news from my old stomping ground...😂😂😂
Paige laughing the whole time while acting kinda methy makes me think everything the girl says about her being abusive is accurate - I bet Middleton picked up on it too
She was 100% on meth she was incapable of even sitting still for thirty seconds she kept looking all over the place including the ceiling she also was inappropriate laughing and did some outburst as a recover drug user I been clean for sevenish years from experience she is absolutely higher then the clouds that belong in the sky I also can tell if someone is a user drug addicts have a look to them and a lot of times u can tell what drugs they do
@@thumper188 agreed. Big CONGRATS on the 7 years! Amazing!
greetings from Poland Mike!
Poland 🇵🇱🙌
"tenancy" can be created when a person consents to letting another person stay there. Generally, if a person is a "tenant" you can't just summarily evict them. This happens a lot in domestic violence situations. They have to go through the formal eviction process. At least that's how it works in my jurisdiction.
Well that explains it.
Isn’t it like even if you invited someone to stay at your house, if they stay more than 3 days, they cannot be made to leave without going through a legal eviction to get them out.
So if two people are constantly attacking each other and are basically being put on a restraining order against each other... How does that work? They can't be near each other but neither one can be forced out of the house they share?? Thats like the immovable object meeting the irresistible force. It's a paradox!
@@shamusfarmer in my jurisdiction a protective order (restraining order) can tell a person to vacate a residence. Doesn't necessarily end a tenancy though.
@@davidarnold3462 Ha! I've tricked you into giving me free legal advice!
Drugs, guns, and toxic relationships are the way people come down dead. If your love doesn’t build you up, it ain’t love.
Yup
The door's kicked in? There goes the cleaning deposit... 💸
Yikes, this waving around of the person testifying makes me feel drunk. I feel sorry for courts dealing with zoom.
Mike... it was the significant other of the incarcerated person talking about her own history of rehab in the beginning.
Ahhh
Judge Middleton worked his fingers to the bone today. A full day & ground through a whole bunch of untidy customers.
He does work hard
Sure, they can GO to the program, but it's not going to help them until they WANT to go to the program
I saw this live. I feel so sad for them. I love Kaylas expressions.
Good to see you. Thanks. I hope the patrol is working hard and having fun. my little old dog is feeling poorly and wants me to sit with him while we watch your show. You’re going to have to cover his shift today.
Awwww 🐶🥰
Deborah is amazing. Love seeing her on these videos. You should do a live chat with her, and a Q&A session with her.
👍
I watched this yesterday, this was a court version of the Jerry Springer Show on Zoom! You know this just the tip of the iceberg and there’s so much more backstory!
Oh yes if you had the video there is a lot of material there!
“It’s a little funny, mostly sad” is going to be my next tinder bio.
Hi Mike. I always have to miss your live streams. 😕 I feel bad for that woman as well. She’s sitting in jail while that woman is in her apartment. Judge Middleton has a kind heart. I only wish he did tell her she had to leave. He cares. You can tell. Thank you 😊
You have to go through eviction process including having them served.
Some medications can create the movement she was showing including anti-depressants and anti-psychotics (+others), but the one on the outside looked more than just cold and agitated. She was doing more mouth movements, twitching, swaying etc. than her that was drug tested the other day. Hope they both manage to get clean and stay clean, as well as a more stable life.
That woman, in middle of the bottom row, that is moving all over the place making people dizzy is acting like a drug addict "tweeker". Sad and scary. She needs loads of help.
This was a good one. Princeton made me cry. I don't think there is any hope for these two women. Toxic is toxic and it needs to end. But, having been in an abusive marriage, I know the trap. It's awful and hard to escape. It seems that both of these women are to blame equally. I don't mean to judge. I'm single for 21 years now and have enjoyed it. It gets lonely and I can see these two clinging to each other and being enabling for each other. Drugs are bad m'kay. I think Susan is high. The blonde was let off too easy, I think. Wow, sorry for going on so long. You clean up good!❤️🎄🤗
If I remember correctly, if she's been longer then 6 months with mail being delivered, in Michigan it becomes a squatter situation. Same county Middleton is in, some assholes got my dad kicked out of his house for a weekend until he could get into court on Monday. They lied and when the judge found out he ordered the sheriff's office to head out immediately to evict the people.
In Cali, I think it's only something like 2 weeks 🤦♀️
Thanxx Mike ✌️😎😷
missed the live- saw you in chat with Arty and his now-famous sweater/jammy .
He did not like the sweater jokes😂
I agree, if Victoria has a restraining order against Susan it is up to Susan to get out and stay out. She is the one who should be in jail.
Word of advice from England. Never begin with the phrase "I just had a motion......" 😁
😂🙌🇬🇧
Susan doesn't seem to understand that this is court and not an episode of Jerry Springer.
Love the tie ❤
She looks like a vid of jigsaw saying “wanna play a game??” 💀
Looking snazzy mike!
Thank You 😊
The only thing that makes sense to me is that Paige is detoxing or hasn't had a fix in a while, and that's why she's shaking so uncontrollably. She looks like she's in her 50s, but because she does drugs I'm sure that means she's in her 30s. On the relationship front I had a girlfriend similar to Paige. She loved drama despite how much she said she hated it. Towards the end of the relationship she would put me in a situation to goad me to have an emotional reaction so she could claim to be the victim. Which sounds a lot like what Paige seems to be doing to her partner.
Yup
Today's show brought to you by the Gilmore Rehab Center and Hair Salon. 😁
Mike, FWIW I like the way you handled this video. High fives.
Thank You 😊
@@LawTalkWithMike You're very welcome
It is galling that the person on the lease is the one that has to leave the house. The agitation of Paige tells us all we need to know about what a volatile nnightmare she could be. She is primed to fight at the slightest provocation. Her girlfriend presumably allows her buttons to be pushed and won’t stay away, a lot of passive/aggressive there, but she is at least likeable. The meth-head is someone I wouldn’t want to slow down for if she ran in front of my car.
Around here there’s a trick you can use to evict someone, if your landlord is willing.
Terminate the tenancy and sign a new lease.
Any party to the tenancy can terminate it and it ends the tenancy consensually for all parties. Since the tenancy ended consensually it avoids a ton of the possible delay tactics.
In this particular case where one party isn’t on the lease, the landlord can remove the “guest” more easily than the actual tenant if the lease restricts who is allowed to reside there, as only parties to the lease can dispute the order to leave, again short-circuiting a bunch of possible delay tactics.
Of course in all cases the actual tenant is taking the risk that the landlord will not want them back, and will take advantage of the situation. But you can sign the new lease before ending the old one, and the actual tenant can fight an eviction in the second case.
Nice tie...lol...
That would be a meth stick...not a selfie stick. Edit - (for the record, made this comment before the meth comment, lol) Great minds think alike, Mike! 🤣
*THREE(3)* sides to every story; yours, theirs and what really happened, which all the iphones and police cams help with immensely.
18:34 depending on the state’s tenant rights laws, a person can claim tendency of a residence after X amount of days spent in the property with consent of the owner or leaser. While her presence could be considered a violation of the lease agreement, it would still require the courts to terminate their tenant rights to the property.
Those fancy clothes you’re wearing make me feel like we are dangerously close to learning something today.
😱😂
18:26 To explain why eviction is necessary: It's not 'squatter's rights' like the commenter later on says. If Susan can prove that it was her primary listed address in any capacity for any length of time, she cannot be kicked to the street without eviction proceedings. Various methods of proof include certified mail, employer's records, and things involving voting and licensing. She likely has those items, so proper eviction proceedings must be taken before she can be forced to leave. It's why adult children cannot be kicked out of their parents' house the moment they turn 18 (though many newly-18-year-olds are too inexperienced to know this).
The term 'squatter's rights' is a bit of a misnomer. Squatters do not actually have rights under any U.S. laws, but they abuse existing laws to manipulate the system into giving them a place to crash for a month- and by 'crash', I mean 'leave an utter nightmare of wanton destruction in their wake'. By creating their own mail to the address they target, they effectively forge a tenancy. Squatters also tend to replace locks, using that as an excuse to claim they have 'financially contributed' to the property. None of this should inherently give the squatters any rights to the property, but experienced squatters know the loopholes and how to exploit them.
Put simply, one court cannot easily override the procedures and methods of a separate (but not lower) court. As much as this domestic violence case should create a way to expedite eviction proceedings, Susan's rights as a tenant (even without a signed contract) must be upheld.
Mike is there any way you can balance the sound between your mic and the feed? It is kinda jarring this way.
I’m trying 🤷♂️
You gotta level your audio with the courts audio if at all possible .
With my car speakers its so loud when you talk but I have to increase the volume to hear the court audio :(
I thought I did🤦♂️
@@LawTalkWithMike it's not bad at all when I was listening on my phone speakers. So it's probably not really an issue that's noticeable for 90 percent of users.
Just my loud ass car speakers startled me 😭🤣

Frankie and Ollie love to see Mike in suit and tie. Formal dress=$=kibble and treats!
Toxic brews more toxic. But unfortunately she receives mail, has a key, and personal items are there so they just keep jumping into that pool. 🤔

IMO co dependent as heck. I hope that they both get the help they seem to need. I was a Drug and alcohol programs advisor on one of the ships I was stationed on and without a good after care program, a solid support system and a real desire for sobriety they will probably fail the first couple of times.
"there is no me and you" .... Good then get out of her house so that way when she comes home to her house you're not there.

Hi Mike. I think you look great in your suit and tie. Very professional. Better than the open sweat shirts.
There needs to be a Judge Middleton lunch for entertainment fund. Considering how often the net uses him, he should get something.
I've been there. it's not fun. !6 yrs os sobriety, it's a wonderful life!!
Don’t move in with anybody….see what happens?
sorry missed the live was out making magic
🪄
The Adam’s family looking woman at the middle bottom cannot be still !
It’s annoying 😂
I hope they can work it out but I think the drugs will keep slitting them up. Three way relationships rarely work
I was thinking the same about Susan and what I’ve seen in cases with meth heads. Their hands can’t stop moving. It’s like Parkinson’s but with meth. Involuntary movements .
Can't seem to find any video of the Jussie Smollett trial. He was testifying on his own behalf
I knew when you were mentioning Susan's camera motion that you were going to talk about drugs. Plus.....you know, the emaciated condition. Oh, and the "meth mouth". You know, the gaping hole. It really is unfortunate that people fall into meth. I've heard some addicts say it is the hardest to kick. Even harder than heroin. Mike is the best!
I love Judge Middleton !
2:05. The Judge had his Secretary arrested for not returning a faxed document?
