His name is Monroe and he is the best
all the monters in the show have german names. For example Monroe is a Blutbader which basically means bloodbath or more someone that is doing a bath in blood or Adelade who is a Hexenbiest which translates to witchbeast
Most have German names, but not all. There are a few from other cultures in there too.

with every new regular character that is added the show gets better. not a fan of the last season but some storyarcs are awesome.

I watched it in German the first time.so.i didn't realize they use the German names for all beasts cause Grimm were German xD so she's a witch
The characters develop as does the mythology, I think I loved this show from the first episode but I could be wrong. I didn't start watching it until it had been on for a couple seasons, but once I did I loved it. Thing is, Grimm to me is very bingeable, I watched the first couple seasons out in a few days & if I decide to rewatch I always end up bingeing.
Cool. You said, "I kinda like him", about Monroe. ☺ That makes me happy. I think I adored him from the get-go. Just something. 😁 And really interesting how serious your face gets when they show the police captain. The dude's got presence.
It takes a few to get into. Keep watching and one day you will suddenly realise your totally into it lol.
Love this show, bit behind on this show so I’ve been watching the next episode early to keep up with you. I remember this one though, one of the most unsettling murders in this show. I’m pretty used to gore, but that is just.. *shivers*.
Munroe is definitely one of my favorite characters, and he only gets more interesting as the seasons go on.
Adalind, though kind of frustrating at first, is an extremely compelling character that I think will grow on you eventually. Claire Cofee is an amazing actress.

Great reaction as always, was a little surprised by you not handling the tongue bit (though they can be gross); you shouldn't have that long to wait to fall in love with the characters as it's their interplay & how they act off one another that made this series special.
this episode kinda reminds me on that one episode of supernatural season 1 where it was also about insects xD
I'd already seen this before Prison Break, so when I watched it was "Hey, there's Munroe and Wu" abd kept hanging out for Michael and Linc to show up as some type of Wesen.

The animosity between Hexenbiest and the bee type Wesen is actually good. Wesen that rely on lies and deceit for their plans to work would hate gossips. 3 Hexenbiests working on a corporate takeover of a printing company operated by bee Wesen without the Hexenbiest's knowledge is good as well. In this episode we need to see a dinner between Sean and Adalind at Sean's house discussing Nick's Aunt's very clean record and the key she gave Nick. Sean reveals to Adalind that his concern about Nick comes from the interest the Wesen Royals have in GRIMMs. Wesen that are born half Royal are more powerful versions the Royals desire to keep under their control. Sean's mother agreed to have a child for the Royals then kept the money and the child becoming a legend among Hexenbiests. Sean would rather the Royals not locate him. It would be better if the bee Wesen queen sends a bee with Nick to find out where Adalind is, sends the bees to distract Nick, and breaks into the room to kill Adalind. After realizing Nick is a GRIMM the queen is confused by Nick's interference. Nick is forced to shoot the queen to save Adalind. The mention of a greater threat is just stupid at this point.

Nick and Monroe had always been my favourite characters, since the beggining to the point I stopped watching.
I watched the whole show until S4 or part of S5, I just didn't knew its airing time and I didn't like the latest seasons that much (at least for what I remember).
But I still remember really enjoying it!
