I don't remember who said this, but when you think about it the only reason the 1st Jurassic Park film isn't considered an adult horror film is because of the kid characters in it. The kids are what makes the film "family friendly," but Jurassic Park also started a trend that not only continued in its films, but also arguably still exists in films today which is having kid characters (most of which are bland or annoying) in films to make the films PG rated instead of PG13 or even R.
"Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should." - it's kind of the theme for the whole series. Ian Malcom was right.
That Trex is the original one from the first film. At the end when she's roaring u can see the scars from the raptor fight when she saved Grant Sattler and the grandkids. It's also how Clair used a flare to bait the rex into fighting the Indom. It had learned flare = food bc of Grant and Malcom
The original Jurassic Park is one of the first movies I ever saw in theaters. As a grown-ass man seeing Rexy come back and fight the Indominus was one of the coolest things I've ever witnessed in a movie.
The way I cried seeing this movie in the theaters in IMAX when it came out! The part that got me extra good was when Claire unleashed Rexy outta her paddock. I missed my Queen cause that's the same Rexy that was in Jurassic Park 1!
Owen Imprinted on the raptors when they were babies, so he isn't just their trainer he fathered them helped raise them. Unlike in the first movie. John mentions imprinting but he never takes the time for the Raptors and him to create a bond. Owen figured out another way to help build up trust, but he is like there parent in his eyes. He is the only one who was ever in the cage with them when they were babies. But you will see that soon in the next movie.
13:17 - 13:53 My favorite scene! It's based on a scene from the original novel where Hammond and Wu discuss upgrading to a "Version 4.4" of Jurassic Park. One of the most engaging moments of the book, even with no dinosaurs present.
I don't remember who said this, but when you think about it the only reason the 1st Jurassic Park film isn't considered an adult horror film is because of the kid characters in it. What are you talking about? Even if this WAS a thing, it clearly isn't anymore (FYI, Jurassic Park is now PG-13 after review in 2023). But it wasn't a thing because movies like Leon: the Professional (1994, a year after JP) or 2003s Monster are both rated R but feature young girls around the age of the kids in JP. Logan and IT also bagged R-ratings back in 2017, and IT is ALL about kids closer to Tim's age in JP. Honestly, I think JP borders on PG/PG-13 because I don't think it's remotely Lord of the Rings: Two Towers tense, but is certainly more tense than Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone. If anything, I'd argue JP leans more toward PG than PG-13... but that's what PG means. It's up to the adult or legal guardian to decide if a movie is appropriate for their child. But, now we're nitpicking. Should there be a PG-5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16 as well since we have a PG-13 and PG-17 (this is what R is by the way. The wording is practically identical to PG-13, but with 17 instead. The adult only rating is NC-17, or X but X is predominantly used for porn). I saw Jurassic Park at 5 when it was in theaters, in fact I think it may have been the first movie I saw in theaters. I loved the crap out of it, like I did the original Star Wars movies. Why does JP deserve a PG-13 rating, but the Empire Strikes Back is PG to this day after the same review JP got? You can't really articulate why because PG is too subjective- especially at the preteen/early teen end. Hell, there's more proof that your argument falls flat. Empire Strikes Back HAS NO KIDS in it, but is still PG but Jurassic Park is now PG-13. Dismemberment, an extended violent fight scene and a scary ice monster aren't objectional enough to warrant PG-13... but angry dinosaurs is? It has nothing to do with kids being in a film or not, the rating SHOULD be based on the context of the film as a whole and I genuinely do not believe Jurassic Park- as a whole- meets the criteria of PG-13. It didn't back in 1993, when it got a PG rating, and I genuinely don't think it does today. But I'm not on the board of pearl clutching, "think of the children", hypocrites that decide these things and refuse to mark anything with NC-17 when films like Saw II+, Hostel, and Human Centipede are given an R instead of NC-17 which they DESERVED for the gratuitous violence and gore because for SOME reason NC-17 just means sex and even then it typically just means homosexual sex.

Happy New Year, Angelina! 🎆🎇 So excited that you're continuing the "Jurassic" movie series with the start of the "Jurassic World" trilogy. 😊 This one is my favorite of this trilogy, and maybe my second favorite of all six movies behind the original. Love Chris Pratt and Byrce Dallas Howard in the lead roles. And every once in awhile I'll forget that Vincent D'Onofrio is in this, and gets his arm bitten off by a raptor. That was singer Jimmy Buffett(RIP always), who was best known for his song "Margaritaville". I love the end dinosaur fight between the TRex(the same of from the first "Jurassic Park") and Blue vs. the Indominus Rex. Can't wait for "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" next in the trilogy. And looking forward to your next reaction. 😊

@@memobury In addition to the scars, there is another confirmation In the first movie the T-Rex prop lost a tooth in the car scene with the children( you can see that in the movie) and this T-Rex is missing exactly the same tooth
The hype for me for finally getting a new Jurassic movie after waiting like 13 years was unbelievable. I’d spent almost my entire childhood praying and hoping that it would come, that there would be a promising edit to the Wikipedia section for Jurassic Park 4. When the kid said “I don’t wanna wait anymore”, man that really got me. And honestly I think Jurassic World is a solid sequel. It expands and moves the world forward, it touches on themes of capitalism, human greed, mistreatment of animals, nature vs nurture. And it has some stunning set pieces. The last battle was a MOMENT that rewrote my brain. And I was so happy when I watched the end credits and heard that beautiful end piece “The Park Is Closed”. I felt catharsis. Finally, Jurassic Park was back. Kid me could be at peace.
So in case if you are wondering what the Indominus Rex was made of, she was made of these animals: Giganotsaurus for the size, Carnotaurus for the horns, Rugops and Majungasaurus for scale ornamentation, Therizinosaurus for the long claws, T. rex, Velociraptor, Tree Frog to adapt to any environment and Cuttlefish to camouflage. A real definition of a monster. Note that this T. rex in this movie is the same from Jurassic Park 1993 and her name is Rexy/ Roberta but I prefer Rexy.
12:21 Multiple creatures, more than 5 I think, with one of them being cuttlefish, that's how it gets its camouflage, maybe Spinosaurus as its arms are much too long to be a T Rex,velociraptor as Owen mentioned, a VERY dominant T Rex gene which explains why it's so damn big and believe it or not, STILL not fully grown and possibly even a bit of allosaurus which might explain the 2 prominent bumps above its eyes
25:16 "Don't you dare touch my Blue!" . . . For a second I thought you said something else. Like "Hey, it wasn't me, my I've been keeping my hands to myself." X3
HAPPY New Year 🎊🕛😊🎉 It took them 14 years to make this movie happen, as a lot of scripts were written but rejected, one which involved human/dinosaur hybrids, and the other having a NAVY SEAL training Raptors to take down a James Bond type Villain. Luckily, none of these scripts made it into the final cut of the movie. It's one of the highest grossing films in the series, $1.6 billion dollars.
The t rex in Jurassic World Trilogy is the same one from the first Jurassic Park Movie. Her nickname is "Rexy". She has the scars on right side of her neck and both side of her back from fighting with velociraptor at the end of first movie. In this movie, Rexy begins to be old age. And she received several fresh wounds from her fight with the Indominus. And by the way. All four raptors squad is girls.
Claire is easily one of my favorite characters of all time and she has such an amazing arc throughout the trilogy. Bryce Dallas Howard absolutely kills this role. She's amazing
The second trilogy set was amazing to me! On Netflix, there’s a little kid’s cartoon called Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous. It’s about a group of kids that got to be essentially the testers for Jurassic World’s children’s camp and they get stuck on the island once the indominous escapes. It’s actually a pretty great show!! Definitely recommend!
Definitely watch the next one! I have always adored this series. I’ll definitely be watching whenever it’s released. You are always so fun even when you don’t really enjoy the film. It’s like I can’t lose with you.🥳😀 Thanks for another great reaction!!!
The music during the fight scene between the T-rex and Indominus is so epic. With the aggressive choir chants, it makes me think of two dogs barking and fighting.
I don't care if the later ones were... questionable. This one was awesome. "I was in the Navy, not the Navajo." Still randomly pops in my head and makes me laugh.
Putting aside my personal views on some of the cast, I really enjoyed this movie and it was a great addition to the series! :) I loved that it was back on an "island".
I loved the evolution happening before everyone's eyes and every time they think it can be controlled. they engineer somthin that doesn't know what itself is...they engineered the perfect killer.
8:48 Fun fact: Mosasaurus were a group related to modern-day monitor lizards(like the komodo dragon), they were literally giant sea-lizards. And yes, they ate sharks, though they weren't as massive as the one in the film. The movie Mosasaurus is about as big, if not bigger, as a blue whale, but in real life they were as big as orcas.
When Nick Robinson was on a show called Melissa and Joey, I had such a big crush on him 😅 This movie doesn't do his skills justice but he's a great actor.
Yes, please watch the other two movies as well, its one of my favourite movies series even tho as you said the plot for every movie isnt very thick, happy New Years as well :)
In case you didn’t know that was the original T-Rex from the first movie fighting at the end, it has the proof of the scars from the raptor fight in the first movie plus the fact it follows the flares.
Fun Fact - If you go into the Jurassic World Behind the Scenes stuff from the DVD or the Blu-ray they have a making of little documentary deal where they talks about how they digitally imposed the high heels and the Raptors it was like a mix of tennis balls on sticks and people in half Raptor costumes it was pretty cool I would recommend.
This film was the culmination of waiting for fourteen years after Jurassic Park 3 for a new movie that kept getting stuck in production hell. The theories and ideas about what it would be like were kind of lame but I was so excited, and when it finally came out, I was so effing thrilled. It was everything I could have asked for and more; action/adventure, humor, nostalgia, amazing effects, dino battles...I will always love this movie. The way I screamed in theaters when Claire lit that flare, man. So amazing!
Katie McGrath (Zara) was really hyped about her death scene because she got to do the stuntwork for it. She also died in the most spectacular way which is literally the best as an actor lol.
I love love LOVE that the T. Rex from 'Jurassic World' is the same T. Rex from 'Jurassic Park' 😄 You can see the scars on her face and neck from when the two Velociraptors attacked her in the visitor's center at the end of the first movie.
10:01 The Indominus as far as I know it's part T-Rex, part velociraptor, and the rest of the DNA gaps were filled in with frog and chameleon DNA, which in addition to allowing it to camouflage itself also gave it the ability to manipulate it's body temperature, which is why it was not identified by the thermal sensor, but it was intentional, she put the marks on the wall and hid from the sensor so they would think she had run away and open the door to check so she could really run away This is nearly human level inteligence, this thing is at the very least as smart as a Dolfin
I love the Jurassic movies so much I grew up watching the Jurassic park movies and loved the Jurassic world movies so this is so fun watching you see them for the first time
Fun Fact: Zara (the babysitter) had such an over the top death, because she was the first female killed on screen in the entire franchise. Related Fun Fact: The actress did all her own stunts for that scene.
In an interview on Top Gear, Jeff Goldblum said he only ever owned ONE car, a wrangler he got from the Original Jurassic Park movie, and he's never needed another one
Cinematic dino battles... I remember Disney's "Fantasia" (1940) in the segment Rite of Spring we get a view of the creation of the earth including dinos... One of the commentaries about the film was that for quite some time schools would use that footage for Natural History class. :D
the indominus rex is a mixture of t rex, velociraptor, carnotaurus, giganotosaurus, majungasaurus, rugops, pycnonemosaurus, quillmesaurus, viavenator, deinosuchus, cuttlefish, tree frog, and pit viper.
Loving the Jurassic reactions Ange! Hey when you get to Jurassic World Dominion, make sure you watch the extended version. It ads so much context to the story! Also there is a Jurassic World short film called ‘Battle at big rock’ to check out between Fallen Kingdom and Dominion if you’re keen. Cheers
I can't tell you how much I was excited for this movie. I grew up watching the orginal trilogy and every so often my dino phase would be resurrected and I would want to watch anything with dinos. So, hearing that there was gonna be another and that the raptors might be more on our side was like the ultimate wish-fulfillment. I was so excited for the Indo Rex, I knew the whole raptor thing from the ads, but that made me more excited about it. I actually feel really sorry for the Indo Rex because even though they seem to push the idea that the Indo Rex was like more psychopathicly murderous than the other dinosaurs, I feel like most of it was the isolation. I don't know what happened to cause her to kill her sibling, but at the least this is an animal with probably all types of mishmash instincts due to the different DNA, an animal with at least some pack instincts raised without in isolation. I feel like a lot of things went wrong here that caused the behavior issues that made the Indo Rex more dangerous than the other predator dinos. I also didn't think the Indo Rex was ugly personally. You probably won't, but I really wish you would check out Camp Cretaceous, I think you would really like it. Plus you would get more Blue and those "turtle" dinosaurs which are Ankylosaurus.
It's kinda funny to me how Angelina didn't like the Indoraptor and love how the how he ended, cause i was the opposite, i loved the Indoraptor design and concept, but i didn't like how it ended cause it felt like a deus ex machina
Same t-rex from the original Jurassic Park. She also crushed through a Spinosaurus skeleton display as a callback to the backlash JPIII received for having a spino kill a t-rex.
Fun Fact: Sharks as a species have been around for over 450 million years and the first trees began to grow around 360 million years ago, so sharks as a species are older than trees.
Ang, so glad to see you start this 2nd series of films, girl.. Mosy (the Mosasaurus), Rexy & Blue: the unsung Sister Squad we never knew we needed in our lives until this film came out.. Love me some Mosy..😂😂❤✌🏻
11:00 "This is on your hands, m'am." Well, not really. Owen had no business entering that cage until he had clearance that the animal was definitely not in there. Claire was on her way to figure that out. Don't blame the lady for his recklessness (or should I say stupidity). Though I do wonder why she had to leave in order to call in.
The thing about Claire is that she is working. her sister cannot expect her to leave her work to watch over two kids, less when she has such an important role in the park
You it's funny that you said Aunt Claire is the worst but just like anybody else she's working at her JOB and sometimes people can't watch their family members if they are busy at their JOB
one of the better reviews i heard was the line 'in the old jurrasic park films the dinos were animals. They wanted to eat, nothing more, nothing less. in the new films they are monsters. they chase you for fun and wait for a jumpscare. one of the scenes for me would be when the woman drives away in the truck and a raptor jumps in her window. an animal that has never had much contact with such vehicles should see the truck as a big beast, not a window to jump through to get prey behind.
Fun fact! When the nanny died, that was the first time a woman had been killed directly by a prehistoric creature in the entire Jurassic franchise. That's why they made it so brutal. I say "prehistoric creature" because Pterosaurs and the Mosasaurus were cousins to dinosaurs, but were not actually dinosaurs themselves.
9:10 Full list of genetics that make up the Indominus: Tyrannosaurus Giganotosaurus Carnotaurus Rugops Therizinosaurus Velociraptor Cuttlefish Treefrog
Excited to see this! I was really hyped for this movie when it came out because I was unreasonably obsessed with the Jurassic park movies as a kid. I love seeing your reactions. Definitely finish the new trilogy. It tries its hand at deeper plot, but the core of it being about dino terror remains. Also I'm glad you said something about her running in those shoes being badass because I remember when it first came out a lot of people criticized the film for putting her in heels in this situation (cause you know, when dinosaurs are loose in your park and people are dying you have time to stop and change your shoes to something more practical). To me it's more badass that she hoofed it in those heels, then if she did in a pair sneakers.
I think the weirdest part for me, on my first watch of this movie I somehow predicted the Indominus was part Raptor The moment I saw the T-Rex like dinosaur with long arms I knew something was off

25:16 "Don't you dare touch my Blue!" . . . For a second I thought you said something else. Like "Hey, it wasn't me, my I've been keeping my hands to myself." X3
The guy who played Masrani and the guy who plays Dodgson in Jurassic World: Dominion are also in Andrew Garfield's Amazing Spiderman.
What happened?
HAPPY New Year 🎊🕛😊🎉
It took them 14 years to make this movie happen, as a lot of scripts were written but rejected, one which involved human/dinosaur hybrids, and the other having a NAVY SEAL training Raptors to take down a James Bond type Villain.
She's amazing
me when I lie@rollt1de015
The second trilogy set was amazing to me! On Netflix, there’s a little kid’s cartoon called Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous. It’s about a group of kids that got to be essentially the testers for Jurassic World’s children’s camp and they get stuck on the island once the indominous escapes. It’s actually a pretty great show!! Definitely recommend!
Definitely watch the next one! I have always adored this series. I’ll definitely be watching whenever it’s released.
You are always so fun even when you don’t really enjoy the film. It’s like I can’t lose with you.🥳😀
Thanks for another great reaction!!!
I like Bryce Dallas Howard in this movie, her performance is fun, underrated, and has an interesting arc
nepotism does get you pretty far
@@poolhall9632is nepotism a good thing?
Yes, please continue with this trilogy. Truly one of my favorite franchises. ❤❤❤

Fun fact:
Mosasaurus were a group related to modern-day monitor lizards(like the komodo dragon), they were literally giant sea-lizards.
And yes, they ate sharks, though they weren't as massive as the one in the film. The movie Mosasaurus is about as big, if not bigger, as a blue whale, but in real life they were as big as orcas.
To answer the question about Henry Wu, yes, he’s played by the same actor who played him in the original Jurassic Park. B.D. Wong
That is the same T-Rex from the first Jurassic Park movie it is still alive 22 years later
Fun fact: the Trex in this is the exact same rex from the first Jurassic park, you can see the scars on her from the fight with the raptors
So amazing!
haha top tier editing as always ! Good watch as well :) Can't go wrong with dinosaurs !
Something else you might have missed. The museum is dedicated to Hammond. There is a shot with a statue of him in the background.
Katie McGrath (Zara) was really hyped about her death scene because she got to do the stuntwork for it. She also died in the most spectacular way which is literally the best as an actor lol.
I love how epic Rexy and blue’s fight scene is it’s awsome
I love love LOVE that the T. Rex from 'Jurassic World' is the same T. Rex from 'Jurassic Park' 😄 You can see the scars on her face and neck from when the two Velociraptors attacked her in the visitor's center at the end of the first movie.
10:01 The Indominus as far as I know it's part T-Rex, part velociraptor, and the rest of the DNA gaps were filled in with frog and chameleon DNA, which in addition to allowing it to camouflage itself also gave it the ability to manipulate it's body temperature, which is why it was not identified by the thermal sensor, but it was intentional, she put the marks on the wall and hid from the sensor so they would think she had run away and open the door to check so she could really run away
This is nearly human level inteligence, this thing is at the very least as smart as a Dolfin
They didn't use Chameleon DNA, but rather Cuttlefish DNA and that what makes the indominus have the ability to camouflage
In Camp Cretaceous, it shows that the Ankulosaurus that got killed by the Indominus was protecting a baby in its care.
This movie was so Awesome, I still remember watching this in theaters, and it was so Cool to see Trained Raptors too
I love the margarita guy during the air attack xD also wilson fisk xD
The bike scene is actually rather believable... The motorcycles in question are Triumph Scramblers and they are pretty capable...
Cheers
Best part of this movie is seeing Rexy again. Dicey CGI aside, the old girl looks great even with battle scars.
I love the fact they brought back rexy (the og trex) for the jw movies
Most definitely continue. The next 2 movies are a bit controversial in the Fandom but they are my favorites since the first movie
Yes been waiting for this pls continue this series till the end 😊
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is the best one of this new trilogy! The last one can be skipped...
Fun Fact: Sharks as a species have been around for over 450 million years and the first trees began to grow around 360 million years ago, so sharks as a species are older than trees.
YES NEXT Jwfk AND JWD
Welcome to Jurassic P... WORLD WORLD!!!
Jurassic park is way better
4:44 Bryce Dallas Howard, Ron Howard's daughter (Richie Cunningham from "Happy Days").
Besides the two sequels, I also recommend watching the short film Battle at Big Rock and the Netflix animated series Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous
The final battle is golden
Ang, so glad to see you start this 2nd series of films, girl.. Mosy (the Mosasaurus), Rexy & Blue: the unsung Sister Squad we never knew we needed in our lives until this film came out.. Love me some Mosy..😂😂❤✌🏻
I enjoyed this commentary Angelina!!!
11:00 "This is on your hands, m'am."
Well, not really. Owen had no business entering that cage until he had clearance that the animal was definitely not in there. Claire was on her way to figure that out. Don't blame the lady for his recklessness (or should I say stupidity). Though I do wonder why she had to leave in order to call in.
yes please watch the second one and the third one as well
Happy new year’s Angelina 💚
The rex is the same one from the first movie, I love her so much and shes such an icon in the franchise
“You were my brother anakin” then boom. Lit up just like anakin 🤣🤣🤣
I love watching people react toy videos!
I can't wait for her reaction to the dock scene next one.
27:57 the iconic roar!
one of the better reviews i heard was the line 'in the old jurrasic park films the dinos were animals.
28:00 - I half expected her to catch on to what she said followed by the Curb Your Enthusiasm theme/meme thing.
Lesson of the day: in Jurassic World isn't you who catches the fish, is the "fish" who catches you!
Can't wait to see you finish this trilogy.
9:10
Full list of genetics that make up the Indominus:
Tyrannosaurus
Giganotosaurus
Carnotaurus
Rugops
Therizinosaurus
Velociraptor
Cuttlefish
Treefrog
13:41 yes he is from the jurassic park, same person :)
I think the weirdest part for me, on my first watch of this movie I somehow predicted the Indominus was part Raptor
The moment I saw the T-Rex like dinosaur with long arms I knew something was off
Yes, same doctor. Doctor Heny Wu same guy from park 1.
yes, just watch all of them
24:43 it’s actually delta, echo and blue here. Charlie is the one that got blown up
Rexy: "Once again gotta save the dumbass humans. Getting too old for this shit."
