The show will answer all your questions in time. Grimm is very good at keeping the same structure from episode to episode (which you summed up at the end) while simultaneously also running a long, multiple-season-spanning, evolving storyline with lots of intrigue. As somebody else put it, right now, they're mostly world-building.
The change that come over them is called woge and there is two forms or levels. The first form is when a strong emotion cause them to sometimes involuntarily change(woga). This can be seen by other Wesen(ceatures) or by a Grimm. The second form is when the Wesen wills it to be seen by everyone. We saw this in episode 2 when the beat like wesen willed the capture man to see their woga form. As they wanted to heighten his fear.
S1 is mainly about world building, not much connective tissue but still enjoyable from case to case
this show would have benefitted of netflix 1-13 ep a season...so many episodes that felt like fillers with about 3 min of content
@@Belnick6666 I didagree the monster of the week episodes are often fairly strong. Myself I pefer two parters to seasonal arcs.
grimm is so under rated in my opinion
The series is very much like a Russian Doll. The line, "but wait there's more." Whenever you think you have finally reached the center you find there is another layer.
Very true.
I wasn't loosing sleep over it, but I was a little worried you would stop watching. Love this show love your reactions
when she uploaded episode 2 of season 1, I downloaded all 6 seasons and watched them in 7 days lol
some really good episodes, but also some really bad ones, not as bad as Chuck, but almost, but all in all, im glad I watched it to the end.
even rumours about a spin off, but to avoid spoilers i never read further on such things.
I wasn't worried but it is nice to know you're sticking with the show, as it's one of my favorites. Since you watch Buffy you should know that one of the creators of Grimm, David Greenwalt, was one of the main writers on the first three seasons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer before leaving to co-create Angel. While writing for Angel he reached back out to & brought Jim Kouf to the show. They've had a very long partnership on TV & movies, I enjoy a lot of their TV shows, Buffy, Angel, & Grimm. Also, a bit random but Grimm films in Portland Oregon & is about the "Grimms" hunting beings drawn from the Grimm fairy tales. It turns out that the actual descendants of the Grimm brothers live in Portland, the creators had no idea until they were told at Comic-Con during the Q&A. Thanks for the upload Dakara, it was awesome, hope you're having a great week!
As far as learning more as you go, that is precisely what will happen. The story does fill in the gaps, eventually.
I'm honestly so happy you're doing this series. Its always been a favourite of mine! You'll definitely learn more as you go - things run deep, and you'll find yourself pulled under without even realising it. Can't wait to watch more!
It's sad that you watch this series so rarely. After all, there are so many interesting storylines ahead. And yes I agree with the opinion that Grimm is underrated.
Monroe is the best character in the entire show. I love him!
I had the issue with connecting with a character too. My fave chacter doesn't come into the show until like episode 15, so maybe the connection you need may be in later episodes (hopefully this season though)
Renard is the police captain
This episode is decent with the goat type Wesen. The things that need to change is this is where we should have the interaction between Adalind and her mother. Her mother is in Adalind dating Sean referring to Sean as a policeman. Adalind attempts to get her mother's approval by telling her mother that Sean is half Royal. Towards the end of the episode Adalind's mother sells the information to the Royals of Sean's identity and location. Hank would not walk back through the bed and breakfast after touching the Wesen and stepping on a toad. Going around the outside Nick notices the remains of glass from a broken window. This will allow them to get a warrant. The Wesen attempts to escape and is hit my a car. The EMT realizes what the injured Wesen is and is met at the hospital by 2 other women that help load the Wesen into a van. Nick and Hank go to the hospital to check on their suspect only to learn he was never admitted. The Wesen is unconscious and chained to a bed. The 3 women are revealed to be goat type Wesen as well and discuss using him for breeding once his injuries are healed.
If you like gardens 😂
I'm loving ❤ this, I can't wait to see more.
💚
❤️❤️❤️

I'd keep with the show to at least episode 6, but really Grimm is one of those shown that gets better all the time.
1:45 Is it? I mean you'd definitly show some bruising around the nose of someone held it until the person died of asphyxiation.
7:30 I love captain Renard. He is such a bad ass.
12:45 Nick's a bit white bread... Monroe is cool though and captain Renard... what as badass. Truth be told I haven't finished the show so I don't even know how he eventually turned out.
Nick becomes a certified badass later throughout the show and leans into his Grimm side more and more.
@@ignatiusartistry True but I'm trying to keep it spoiler free.
👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️👌👌👌🌹💋
Is Hank drugged?
