"Dance Moms" follows Abby Lee Miller and the nation's favorite tween dancers as they take on Hollywood while new auditions, new competitions, and new studios raise the stakes.
The road has not been easy for “Dance Mom’s” star Abby Lee Miller. After completing her prison sentence last year, the famed dance instructor was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. But if anything, Abby has proven she is a fighter and is not ready to hang up the dance shoes. The new season of Dance Moms follows Abby as she rebuilds her dance company while battling the after-effects of cancer that has left her confined to a wheelchair. Abby is ready to get back to her life and do what she loves most…teaching students to dance! With the goal of putting her life, health and dance studio back together, Abby returns to where it all began - the Abby Lee Dance Company in Pittsburgh.

Fun fact: The moms were actually protesting for higher pay and their contracts for Lifetime. The whole Kelly thing was a cover up. The moms and the girls was only paid low pay, they wanted more money so they protested.

Yeah I mean imma just say even if I somehow have a rich husband I want to not rely on him. I want to pay for things myself and I want my kid to feel independence too. And even then even if you’re rich I wouldn’t expect you to accept (let’s say) $15 an hour to put your child through hours of stress and dancing

@@marvincorre4783 it’s not just about the contracts it’s the OGs we cared about invested in we loved 🥰 there wholesomeness there friendship team work and rooted for there growth. And progression as dancers 👯♀️. That’s why no one watched season 8 there not our girls 👧 we didn’t care.

@@marvincorre4783 even behind the scenes, the ogs were so close. The Maddie-Chloe rivalry was forced, all the rivalries were forced. Even the moms got along behind the camera. Always blame the producers most of the times instead of the cast. It's a really stressful environment, especially for children
I really hate the producers so much.
The og cast's friendship is something so strong and sweet. The ogs are just amazing.

I always feel so bad for the favorites like Sophia and Maddie. Sophia looked so uncomfortable when Abby berated the other girls and brought her up, and I have no doubt that Maddie feels the same whenever it happens to her.

I’m not sure how Abby though these new girls were going to be as good as the old girls. The old girls dances for years together and they didn’t just learn their group dance the night before
individually, they were all technically better. but they didn’t click as a group and lacked performance value. technique isn’t everything, and that’s what abby failed to see. the aldc wasn’t just famous for being good dancers, they were famous for being great group performers.
Abby got rid of the replacement kids because they settled the contract dispute with the OGs. She kept Sophia because the producers planned a storyline with her.

These kids came second with a single day of practice and most never dancing with each other with a lot of pressure put on the, by other moms, their mums and Abby against other teams who work together every week with possible weeks of practice. It’s amazing
