"Dance Moms" follows Abby Lee Miller and the nation's favorite tween dancers as they take on Hollywood while new auditions, new competitions, and new studios raise the stakes.
The road has not been easy for “Dance Mom’s” star Abby Lee Miller. After completing her prison sentence last year, the famed dance instructor was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. But if anything, Abby has proven she is a fighter and is not ready to hang up the dance shoes. The new season of Dance Moms follows Abby as she rebuilds her dance company while battling the after-effects of cancer that has left her confined to a wheelchair. Abby is ready to get back to her life and do what she loves most…teaching students to dance! With the goal of putting her life, health and dance studio back together, Abby returns to where it all began - the Abby Lee Dance Company in Pittsburgh.

The worst thing about this show is that they teach these kids that you shouldn't have emotions and if you do your a "crybaby" . Yeah let's teach children to hold in their emotions until it turns into self harm or drug addiction

I hate how Melissa was like "Once again, the moms are singling out Maddie". Every other child, including Mackenzie, gets compared to Maddie and brought down by Abby on the daily. It’s very rare for Maddie to get yelled at and compared to another dancer. Melissa basically even forgot she had a second child until the last two seasons that they were on the show and even then, she preferred Maddie.

I'm thinking is Maddie's blue eyes. In one of the episodes she talks about Maddie having her mother's eyes.
I liked the idea, but the mom's not even putting Maddie on the board was wrong. Can you imagine how Maddie felt when she saw everyone else's name on the board but not hers... while not even knowing what the board was for? I'm sure she might have has a thought that maybe it was something else, and she was being excluded. Making the board visible to the children, with Maddie not even on it, was excluding and hurting a child, whether the board was negative or not.

In this episode, you can see that Cathy doesn’t hate the moms or the kids, she hates Abby. That proves that Cathy isn’t as bad as she seems. She feels sympathy for the girls, the only person she hates is Abby due to her behaviour towards the children and others who don’t agree with her.

Notice in the dressing room she just said “I’m going to go”. It seems that after they danced the first time for judging they were disqualified. Then maybe the producers told Abby and her assistant say it was pulled and blame the mothers.
The producers needed to come up with a random excuse to why Abby pulled the solo not the fact that they used real fire

Can’t even lie, I liked Cathy this season. I like how she was standing up for the moms because she knows what the moms did wasn’t wrong. Near the end she asked Abby “why did you pull their number?!” Because she probably felt bad for them because they worked so hard. I feel like Cathy is actually really nice like in season one, she would barley start any drama. And when Melissa surprised her with a cake she was so happy. I think she’s a nice person but I feel like the only reason she treats Abby like that was because she was being rude to vivi(her daughter) when they went to aldc.

Cathy is actually a nice person. It was revealed that she was abby’s friend before the show started filming, and Abby and Cathy actually even hung out during filming as well, the producers just edited it to create a rivalry to cause drama. If you dig a little deeper you’ll see that Cathy is actually a really nice person, and she was even sad for Abby when Abby was sentenced to jail

I actually talked to Cathy once. She was portrayed a certain way for television. Cathy is just seriously a normal dance teacher. Why do you think cameras magically appeared when she'd talk about competitions against Abbey and never about any other competitions against anyone else? Obviously there aren't secret cameras that are just there to catch talk about Abbey. They have the camera men come at specific times for scenes. That's what all reality shows do including shows like love and hip hop, housewives, bring it.. etc. Everything is scheduled and they have certain lines and improv so we aren't just watching them be natural. It gets to the point they have to show interviews so we know what they're thinking in that moment 😑

She has the ability to entertain. Although not better than Kalani or Brynn, but there have been many dancers on the show far better than her, . From an objective POV, it’s just true . She has great stage presence but all her solos were the same, 70% turns and the same other moves. Maddie made plenty of technical errors - her releve wasn't the strongest, she fell out of turns very often, and she often rushed from one move to the next. When I was seeing mistakes like that followed by Abby gushing about how her performance was absolutely perfect, I'm naturally going to have to roll my eyes. overall control of movement wasn't on par with some other dancers on the show like Brynn, Kalani, Elliana.

When Cathy asks why they stayed, what they couldn't say (the producers wouldn't let them break the 4th wall of it all being a show at that point) is that they were locked into contracts. If they left they couldn't join another studio until their contract was up, otherwise that's a breach of contract. They also had contracts with the Abby Lee Dance Company, not just Lifetime. There were also severe financial costs incurred by leaving.
