As I sit here at my desk, towards the end of my work day, I feel at peace watching another phenomenal video by Matt, it’s like a reward every time and it makes me look forward to heading out on the highway on my FXLRS this weekend….I CAN’T WAIT! Thanks for always inspiring us, Matt & the Laidlaw HD Crew 👍🏼
Wow....Wow.....Wow What a Magical Ride Thank you Matt & Crew its a long weekend here is Sydney... Ride day tomorrow after watching your Ride...Hiw could you not go for a Blast on the HD... Thank you for Sharing the Ride... Piece 👌🇭🇲👌
Matt, you and your cinematic videos are largely responsible for my purchasing my 17 road glide ultra. I live in Colorado and have ridden all the passes and I am always excited to see where you go next, nearing 60,000 MIle because of your influence thanks Matt
Your videos are the reason i look at harleys and want to travel so much. The views, experiences, good and bad are what make credicredible stories and memories! Please keep making great videos!
Matt another great video. I lived in Modest about 10 years ago. Been over 120 once in a car. Didn’t own a bike at the time. Will be back to ride it. That part of California is beautiful You guys are lucky in the riding part of California
It warms my heart to watch these Matt. What great experiences you fit into these rides. The ST is looking like it worked out as a touring machine. Nice to see a variety of HDs on tour with the Boyz 😎
We planned a run from Toronto, Canada to Yosemite and back. Hopefully get the chance to stop by the dealership and meet ya'll, ut we on a tight schedule. Heading out may 21st. You guys rock love the videos!!
Matt, your videos are exceptional! The format is my favorite, and the quality is amazing! Thank you for taking the time to put these together and take us along for the ride. Keep up the great work my friend.
I'll take this over BRP & The Apalachians ANY DAY. I was born in this area. Been in Boston over 25 years. Have to get back soon. My soul yearns for home.
Part 1+2 into the Sierra freakin gorgeous and breathtaking are the right words. 2008 my wife and me had the chance to make this trip and crossed Tioga Pass from Vegas to Napa Valley. Just looked into our hard cover album of this journey and found a foto of us in front of Ellery Lake sign Elev. 9538 ft. Yosemite such a great place, the Mariposa Groove of Giant Sequoias, incredible trees. Heaven on earth, thanks for riding with you guys, it brings back so much great memories.
I always enjoy your Tour videos, this time around you showed us beautiful scenery and awesome roads, makes me want jump on my bike and head for Nevada.
Thanks Bro! There's another road to try out up here on the coast. Go north on 101 to Cloverdale on 128. Take 128 West to Mendocino on highway 1. Drive north on 1 to Ft Bragg and then take highway 20 to Willitts and then return on highway 101 (south). I think you'll like the ride as much (or more) as your highway 9 ride by Santa Cruz. Later! 😊
Awesome Vid of the Adventure with all the Boys! My GF and I just finished a 16 day RV Trip in my 5th Wheel Toy Hauler with my Motorcycle loaded, a 2018 Goldwing. We camped 1 night in Lone Pine, 3 nights in Bishop area, 3 nights in June Lake, 5 nights in Gardnerville, and 4 nights in Groveland area. We did 11 out and back to camp Rides. Lake Sabrina, Mammoth Lakes, June Lake Loop, Tioga Pass, Ebbits Pass, Lake Tahoe, Virginia City, Yosemite Valley, Glacier Point, Hetch Hetchy, and Cherry Lake Loop. We did about 1200 mi on the Bike and 1230 mi on the Truck pulling the Trailer. Camping in my RV and Riding are my Favorites!!!
Thanks Matt and crew for another INCREDIBLE ride. I simply love these travelogs and look forward to watching each one. Love the teaser for the Tail of the Dragon! Just purchased a 2024 Street Glide and would love to travel the roads you guys have shown. Keep making these vids.
Pinecrest lake resort I know it well. My mom has been going there annually since 1937. Great video. The Sierras has so many great places to visit and explore.
What a beautiful place. I can already see that once I start planning my journey through US on a bike it'll take multiple trips and I'm OK with that. So thanks Matt for all the great ideas! :D
So... the brake fluid issue on 22:32 mark was the same issue my friend had with his Harley when we were in Sequoia Nat'l Park, except it affective his clutch instead. A shop in Fresno told us that they see a lot of this and the change of elevation is the culprit. The reservoir expands the higher the elevation and as you drop, they shrink back into place like nothing happened.
Yes Matt it is ... I think, you and your Crew know how blessed you are, to can explore sooo stunning beauty Landscape / Area on the Earth ... with two wheels !!! In all your past Touring Videos ... So ride safe and happy and share this athmosphare, feelings and views with us ... Than we are happy with you and "like this" from Heart 👍👋😀
Stoked to hear you guys are going to the Smokies! I was just there last month and it's some amazing riding out there. Foothills Parkway and Blue Ridge Parkway were some of my favorite roads. Definitely check out Wheels Through Time Museum in Maggie Valley as well--tons of motorcycle history there.
Must have narrowly missed you and the crew. Just did both passes and some camping at Mono lake on my heritage. Truly some of the best riding in the country. Fun to see you guys stopping at most of the places I did as well 😁 thanks for another great video!
Mátt that was a sensational ride through the pass and Yosemite absolutely breath taking. Thanks for giving us a tidied along with you guys it was awesome!
Epic video Matt and crew! Thanks for taking the time to film your journey and share it! Your video production rocks. This is probably one of the best motorcycle advertisements of all time 😄
Early evening I thought I would check your channel and YES part 2 is out! I have been on 120 to Yosemite in a cage, this video was awesome. I have to ride the RG over 120. I will be riding this weekend for sure and a longer ride than I had originally planned to (your video has me excited to get out there). Appreciate the inspiration to keep learning and challenging myself.
Going to put that area on the bucket list to ride. Being from the East coast, limited vacation time, I would fly out, rent a motorcycle and ride those roads. Brandon's comment "just don't use your brakes, it only slows you down" LOL!
I have backpacked over 200 miles in the Sierra backcountry going where most can’t, but as I get older the bike trips look more comfortable. Doing it on two wheels is definitely a bucket list thing for me. Got to get my Harley first.
Cool ride. The modular helmets: I just got a Simpson and can say that my full-face Shoei is much quieter and I've not found the modular Simpson all that useful...i.e. I hardly ever find the need to open it. Plus the Shoei is great in the rain. Would be interesting to hear what you guys think of the modulars. Sort of an expensive thing to experiment with.
When you do the dragon if you haven’t, go early in the morning on a weekday. Honestly there are a handful of roads I have ridden that I would do again before the Dragon. But it’s cool being able to say you did it. Don’t forget cherahola skyway, blue ridge parkway, etc.
I’ve traveled both and just did Sonora Pass today! Sonora pass has serious twisties more challenging than Tioga. As far as beauty, Tioga has the views but Sonora holds its own and both are a must do. Hanging in Columbia tonight.
Going to complete my coast-2-coast next year... Will be hitting up Yosemite on the way back to Vegas. Also looking forward to visiting you guys in LA. (Coming from UK btw..)
Great video Matt! I love your riding videos…you capture the ride in a way that makes me feel like I got to go with you. Thanks for sharing your adventure!!
I was riding through those very canyons at the same time you were. I took the old Road King from Washington, DC, through the Rockies and on to Lone Pine, Death Valley, Virginia City, Yosemite, and the coast at Santa Barbara. I kept watching the bikes you were passing in the video, thinking I might be one of them, but no joy. You're right; the High Sierras are without equal, especially Tioga Pass. Nothing like a long road trip through spectacular country. Love your videos.
Just back from bike trip East to West along Tioga. Stunning road on a bike and loved the area. Great quality video as usual and captures the feel of a trip exactly.

another awesome video Matt. As I live just over the hill in Gardnerville I try to ride those passes whenever I can; I agree Ebbetts is technical and beautiful while Tioga is awe inspiring. Below those passes in CA is miles and miles of rolling twisties in the oak foothills; worth riding and exploring the towns (but not in the heat of summer!). Great work Matt.
