Misery makes the best memories. I encourage everyone to experience a full rain day. You’ll have stories for a lifetime! That being said I’m done with it for awhile
I waited to watch this video until I got up in the morning to watch it with my coffee and get ready for the day. No better way to start off than a Laidlaw rainy road trip.
Sitting here recovering from shoulder surgery in October. Haven’t ridden since then. Planning of riding Run For the Wall in May. Sometimes my motivation gets down but I have the window to do something epic before I can’t. I’m not an old man, in my mid 50’s but I feel the “do it now or never”….these ride life videos y’all make keep me above the quit. I’m nervous but just gonna dive in…6000 plus miles in May/June…
Get out there man. Your head makes it seem harder than it really is. Have the right gear and setup your bike correctly. Do a trial run with your setup.
I hear Ya Hoss, turned 50 this past April, and I got the same "now or never feeling"...plan on trying to make the HD 120th Anniversary in July, and if I can take the time, maybe Sturgis afterwards, and some other stuff in between to make the time table work...Wishin You A fast recovery friend, and a safe trip, maybe we'll see Ya on the road bro.
I appreciate how Matt showcases each bike and explains how they're set up before the ride. Also, the graphics while they're riding so we know what we're looking at. Nice job!
I just turned 40. I behind.. I’m only on a FLHR. I see these guys on the GSXRs etc and think.. yo! You’re using it like one would a road king or whatever but not comfy. Got a buddy like that. Mid 20s .. rides a ninja .. commutes daily Carries all sorts of shit. Ppl prob don’t like the stigma of tbe road sofa .. yea .. well.. who is comfortable? It’s like the guys that joke about my chaps .. wel.. I’m not cold and u are lol
I got the 2015 ultra limited in May after watching a bunch of these videos, best thing I ever did. It was an upgrade from a 2000 TC88 road king, it feels like a rolls royce ha. I double the heated grips comment, they get ridiculously hot!!!
A absolut funny and joyend Roadride again Matt 😀 ... the Video Documentation and your Crew was awesome ... It was a great Joy to see ... 👍😉 your Team have made it ( in the liquid Sunshine of Arizona ) Thanks a lot, your Arne from the Northern Highlands of Germany
I thought you were about to say "I'm rocking the full adventure mustache"... Always love the vids, when U guys share Your rides and it would seem, anytime the west coast needs rain all you have to do is set The Laidlaw Crue out on a road trip, better than a rain dance👍...some of the best ride vids on YT imo.
thx.4 the video shout out from cold Philadelphia.. m@ you killed it as usual.. awesome! loved the crew gr8 vibes each time hehe..I'm turning on notification bell right now..
Great ride! My son’s middle name is named after Jerome, as we have visited the town on our honeymoon vacation through the West. Tombstone is for shure a tour destination I’ld love to make come true on my Street Glide Special. Or Jerome will do the ride once on my motorcycle or on his own. A Harley is made to be passed on and so are dreams of very special tour destinations.
Very kewl, Matt! Another great road trip and another great vlog. Now you’re definitely talkin’ my lingo! AZ is my next stop! My love is in the Tucson-area and I’m retiring after nearly 31yrs in Construction Mgt. For a major NYC-metro area public transportation agency and relocating there. She loves Tombstone and we will be recreating the AZ leg of your ride fo’ sho’! Ride safe, Enjoy, and Cheers
Great seeing the whole Laidlaw team and 2 Lane Life trio all together on this one. Sucks about all the rain, but glad everyone made it safely. Definitely looking forward to those Road King bike close up videos.
Best cruiser videos on the web. The best part of these travelogues are all the different bikes that are featured along with the multiple perspectives, very engaging. Me and my victory are jealous of this video.
I appreciate comments like this (as long as they’re genuine). That’s exactly spirit I try to communicate in my vids. Good to know that’s what translates through for viewers. Thank you
Way to go Andrew just get a new bike!😂 Awesome video as always! I rode to Tombstone from Tennessee in October 2020 on a FLHTk. Stayed the night in Bisbee at a historic old hotel. Beautiful country
Great drop today. Enjoy your content and details you give regarding the different bikes you all are riding. Can't believe you didn't know about the Gators for your boots from Harley. Anyhow they work great when in rain to keep the boots dry. Ive got a 2022 RG Special, picked it up in May this year and have 14,000 on it so far. Been raining here for the past days in SC and looking forward in riding Saturday.
Matt and group. Great traveling video as is the norm. I always appreciate the historical bits you push out. I appreciated the vote of confidence the Two Lane Life gents gave to the HD rain boots. I have a pair in my 21 CVO RG saddlebag but thankfully never had to use them. Be and ride safe.
Another great video Matt. Really enjoyed. You have a great group of people you ride with and you all have beautiful bikes. Quick question Matt? Whats up with the big Burt Reynolds mustache 🤔🤣😂
Where should I ride on a long trip? I know. I'll just see where the Laidlaw crew and the 2Lane crew have been! Love it all! You guys are like AAA vacation and route planners.
You guys make me proud to be a customer. 2 Bikes in with you guys. Andrew know’s the truth. My RG ST will get traded in someday for what he’s sport’in. Mickey, nice bike. wash it. Emilio, welcome to the crew, love your bike, it reminds me of when I was doing overnighters on my 18’ fat bob (2nd most miles n the world before i traded it in, so im told). Vicla Chikla, your bike is the raddest. Need to see you on more rides with the homies. Thanks for the great content, Matt. See you at my 10k.
Thank you! I appreciate your comment my friend. We appreciate you sticking with us when you’re picking up new bikes too. Thank you. Over nighters on the fatbob is a right of passage 🤜🏼🤛🏼.
Thought for sure when y'all got to Bisbee, the 2Lane deputies would have rounded up the Laidlaw Gang... and put you on the next "3:10 to Yuma" to the Yuma Territorial Prison! This was a fun video. Kind like herding cats. Then the bed sheet running through the hall... I lost it laughing. Looking forward to the next part!
Really great video Matt. Love these little excursions you and the crew do. Awesome to see the 2LaneLife crew also. Looking forward to the next show. Peace ✌
Watching your video gives me great memories of my Route 66 trip back in June this year. Rode through Arizona further north than Tombstone visiting Flagstaff, Seligman, Kingman etc but the weather was over 100°F so a little different from your trip. Your weather on this trip was like our regular weather here in Dundee, Scotland. Safe travels guys! 🏴🇺🇸
Brilliant video guys , riding on a sunny day is easy .....but riding in those conditions is a test , not just about riding but a test of who you are !........Great crew and awesome effort !!!
30s? Welcome to what we ride in in Chitown for a chunk of the year. Gotta get those miles in as long as it’s not down in the teens and or snowing/salt on the road. HOT DAMN.. u guys getting new bikes all The time. I think dudes right about all roads lead to the Ultra. I’m on a 2019 FLHR. Was thinking a SG or RG for the next one … but maybe best to go for the ultra with the detachable tour pack kit. But the thought of a new bike is too much. Gotta do cam, and exhaust minimum .. (not just slip ons).. a HD is just a down payment on the P&A catalog lol Ride safe brothers and sisters
I just came across this Matt, you guys and gal are a great group and lucky to have each other. Andrew that bike is sweeeeet good luck and many miles ahead of you. Videos such as this make me get those folk who I ride with to get riding, Planning Florida Keys run in late May, I shall see! once again Thank You, Happy Holiday's
Man! What a vid! It was instructional (The lower leg HD rain gear was a blessing to find out about). Also the added riding tips during less than desirable conditions. It was a traveling history lesson on wheels (That segment augmented by narrated historical facts about the shootout was on point). And the videography could be "Grammy Short Doc/Film" worthy. Tell me, while trespassing through the "1958 tunnel," how did you manage, while riding, to capture seamless footage going from a full frontal view, to the back of your motorcycle? If that was editing, another Grammy nod to the editor in the category! Here I am, as the only child, sole caregiver of my elderly humans, and I was transfixed by this entire video - during the early morning time when my Mother who suffers from pretty bad Dementia, is at her most helpless self! It is THAT good. I've seen plenty of your videos, but this one will go down as one of your best to "me." Ijs... Oh, and did I forget to mention - this vid was also HILARIOUS! The "gang" was all in despite less than acceptable conditions during a long ride. "The road looked like a piece of microwaved bacon" nearly took me out as I literally spit out my decaf Venti pour over, with 13 Stevias and Half n Half - not too dark - not too light. WHILE in the middle of taking care of my Mother (I always order an extra for the next morning when I'm able to stop by Starbucks)! Man, thank you guys SO much for this trip. I was right there with you guys. You just never know how many you are touching and affecting while sharing such wonderful content. And hats off to Danielle and that MONSTER of a White Road King! That coming from a fellow member of the Road King Society 🙃. Now, how do I figure out a way to use a pathfinder to traverse those exact sane roads - one day - when this season in my life is over 🥺🤔? Hmmm... One day - I pray. I pray GOD'S traveling mercies over your trip home, as I have yet to see the "to be continued" vid. GOD bless you ALL. 🙏🏻 ❤️ 🙌 Psalm 71:11-12!!!
Actually visited that town 20 years ago. Relatively small amount of people live there. Don't know about today but back then the only thing to do was hang out at the local gas station lol other than the tourist stuff and going off roading in the mountains. That was fun for sure but after a few days it got pretty boring and I couldn't wait to get out of there. Was fun for a little bit though. Great video.
Great ride. Definitely a different route than taking 10 East to 80 Benson Hwy. Bisbee is legit. Tombstone is a little tourist trap. My dad is from Douglas. 30 miles south of Bisbee. Right on Az Mex Border. Great stuff guys.
Hi, please read.. I was a German tourist in 1982 and arrived in SF. My tour took 11 states and 6.000 miles in just under 4 weeks. I think, to chose.." unlimited" mileage for my rental car, was a good idea.. I came to Tombstone, too. It was a sleepy little town with not much to see on mainroad. Had a beer in the Chrystal Palace and visited the small museum. There was also a shoot-out with some actors somewhere. You can buy burgers from a man in a little cage, with a quick window to keep the flies outside. I think, from your video, the town has changed into a bit of a Disney-Land, with shops and commercial signs everywhere. Some. "Museums" or stores, show stuff that wasnt there in 1982. BUT, I still have my Tomstone Sheriffs Patch and Business Card..!! I traded that.. :))) I had left the USA from Denver and saw a lot. I returned with my 750 Honda Chopper in 1986, transported the Honda and me with Ward Air and crossed Canada to L. A. and back. My bike was flown in with me on the same plane from Frankfurt/Germany. I was on my own, no GPS, internet, cellphone, Goretex and no GoPro etc. no hotel booked. I bought a 800 Dollar ticket from Korean Air, left my bike at the L. A. airport, stored my selfmade leatherbags in a locker and flew to Hawaii, Taipeh, Seoul, Hongkong and Tokyo. No hotel was booked before After 8 days, I returned back to L. A., picked up my Honda and drove all the way back to catch my flight in Calgary.. and was back in my workshop in Berlin after 4 weeks. The bike costs me a cargofee of 1.300 DM and my ticket the same amount in German currency.I total 2.600 German Mark for the tickets. Today, you pay up to 4.000 for the bike..!! I returned in 2015 to L.A. and rented the Indian Chief to do a roundtrip to the towns and cities and came to Death Valley, Las Vegas, San Diego and a lot of places... I am 69 now and bought my 3rd bike into my garage last year.. Ride free and Stay safe! Kind regards from Berlin
You're a spirited bunch and you put out a great video despite the weather. Kudos to Andrew on getting the full dresser, I ride a '14 FLHTK, my opinion is that nothing compares to it, nothing. Thanks.
Love Tombstone, but I will have to try it in the Rain... ~NOT~ Great video, as always surprised Andrew didn't get a CVO after seeing that 'Grey Nose Hair'. What happened to the jerky... Happy Holidays All.!
Great video and great content. Thanks for making everyone feel inadequate with what they ride, lol. Profits are good at the ol dealerships, nice bikes!
Love Bisbee!! When you were there, did you guys get into to see the old bar in the "Grand Hotel? The bar I believe, once belonged to Wyatt Earp when he had an interest in the "Oriental Saloon" in Tombstone. It went into Mexico during prohabition, then wound up, back in Bisbee at the Grand Hotel. I walked into the Grand Hotel after researching it and it had an oriental look to it before it was refinished and also had a couple of 3 foot tall Chinese wooden dolls that came with it! NOTE: Laudenum is a "Tincture of Opium", you can often find empty Laudenum bottles laying around some the old ghost towns...... Love your Wild West History! Arizona is loaded with amazing ghost Towns!! Craig Reeves Vancouver Canada
Bless your hearts! I would love to ride with you guys, I am older but I keep fit, I can ride my machine with the best of you. I would be honoured, anytime. Craig Reeves Vancouver Canada
Great music and editing, you make amazing videos. Bikes are great but I keep watching because the guys (and Danielle) have such great personalities. Stay safe and keep them coming.
Brother, your coverage, narration, story telling is epic! You should do a two hour movie! Soooo good. You guys battled, I know you had time restraints for everyone getting back to work, but I woulda spent the night in Tombstone/Bisbee, despite a short ride over from Tucson. Next trip, sneak along an old-fashion alarm clock to put in those two guys rooms who were sawing logs at 8am, kickstands up! Lol🤣😂🤣😂
@@MattLaidlaw Great crew you have there for these rides. I never seem to get enough with each one. You guys have to get over thru Monument Valley and up into downtown Telluride once winter is behind us.
I was lucky enough to go to both Tombstone and Bisbee 30 years ago whilst on holiday (Vacation) from Britain - it didnt rain when i was there but it certainly wasnt warm and sunny even then. Anyway, its good to see both towns as they are these days, not that they've changed much at all. As always another absolutely fantastic road trip video with the crew, thank you !!! 👍👍
I lived in Arizona back in 2008 to 2010 when I graduated from MMI in Phoenix! Tombstone and Bizby were just great places to check out! I miss Arizona a lot! Family and kids keep a guy grounded sometimes. But needless to say, it truly is a place to step into, like a time machine. The whole experience is worth it even if it's just a weekend! Cheers to you and your friends for shedding some good light and love on Tombstone!
Excellent episode! Congrats to Matt & the Laidlaw crew for getting it right; this is how you personalize the Harley experience. Love the Documentary rides!
Your traveling trips are something that should be the discovery Channel or national geographic. 👍
i gotta say Matt…you seem to attract rain
Yea, it's a bad trait
Misery makes the best memories. I encourage everyone to experience a full rain day. You’ll have stories for a lifetime! That being said I’m done with it for awhile

No hotel was booked before
After 8 days, I returned back to L.
I returned in 2015 to L.A. and rented
the Indian Chief to do a roundtrip to the towns and cities and came to Death Valley, Las Vegas, San Diego and a lot of places...
I am 69 now and bought my 3rd bike into my garage last year..
Ride free and Stay safe!
Kind regards from Berlin
GREAT VIDEO LIKE ALWAYS MATT!! 🤘🏼🔥🔥🔥
Thank you!
Love this content. I love old Americana history. So cool that you braved the rain with the 2Lane crew. Keep this content coming!!!
Will do! We enjoy making them! Thanks for watching.
You're a spirited bunch and you put out a great video despite the weather. Kudos to Andrew on getting the full dresser, I ride a '14 FLHTK, my opinion is that nothing compares to it, nothing. Thanks.
Heated gear is a game changer. Dig the adv-mustache 👍 awesome video as always!
Happy holidays to you and your fam! And your extended working family!🎉😊
Gotta do the mine tour in Bisbee next time. Definitely worth it.
We will have to check that out!
So true about the Limited comments.
Love that historic perspective you guys bring on before the ride. Keep that going.
Love Tombstone, but I will have to try it in the Rain... ~NOT~
Great video, as always surprised Andrew didn't get a CVO after seeing that 'Grey Nose Hair'.
What happened to the jerky...
Happy Holidays All.!
Great video and great content. Thanks for making everyone feel inadequate with what they ride, lol. Profits are good at the ol dealerships, nice bikes!
Awesome effort boys, rain or shine its all good on two wheels! That slug is really coming into its own now Matt :)
Good stuff Matt!! 😎👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks brother.
Excellent video..👍👍👍🇦🇺
Thanks for the comment Craig! Interesting stuff man. Thank you
You are welcome my friend! I may be a Canadian but, I love your Wild West history! DIA@@MattLaidlaw
Bless your hearts! I would love to ride with you guys, I am older but I keep fit, I can ride my machine with the best of you. I would be honoured, anytime. Craig Reeves Vancouver Canada
Awesome videos!!!
That fxrt king is badass
Lol🤣😂🤣😂
Haha thanks brother. I appreciate the comment! I’m glad people enjoy watching. Yes, Mickey and Emilio will be getting an alarm clock next time! 😂
@@MattLaidlaw Great crew you have there for these rides. I never seem to get enough with each one. You guys have to get over thru Monument Valley and up into downtown Telluride once winter is behind us.
Another awesome video!!!
Videos top notch as always but absolutely digging the stache
Man, you guys picked a Crazy weekend to come over here 😂. Much love
Haha. It wasn’t by design. We made the most out of it though.
@@MattLaidlaw amen. Tombstone and surrounding areas like Benson are Great!
Andrew is part of the A team at Laidlaw's. Correction, Danielle and the whole A team from Laidlaw's.
this Andrew guy! ANOTHER ONE (khaled voice)
😂😂
