The guitarist who introduced the tapping effect to the rock scene was Steve Hackett the guitarist for Genesis,,, Years 1971-1977...these yrs were considered the best genesis yrs cause of Hackett's ghost sound that he invented,created and mastered with his guitar...Eddie Van Halen adopted this technique and ( over uses ) after seeing a genesis concert in 1972....good upload though...
