Same here it's a happy spot in my day!!:) Nice distraction from life right now we can all use!! I've just gotten a freeze dryer and have been implementing your technique's.👍
The dish with more water might work well with the crumble on top. It is worth a try since you have it made up already. I see you tried it. I spoke too soon. In a bowl with ice cream on top the soupyness wouldn't matter! It looks so good!!!!
Haven't got around to re-hydrating any of my crumble yet. May have ate a few bits that wandered off alone while they were still dry. (it's rather good dry). I'm going to re-hydrate a bit of ice cream to try on mine when the time comes. Great video as always.
Goodness gracious I love your ideas! This is your calling John. I love this idea and pairing it with your lasagna you did in ready to bake pans would make wonderful gifts for people! Now if we could just figure out how to freeze dry a bottle of cabernet. Ha! ;-) What do you think of advising people to drizzle 1/2 cup melted butter over the crumble before baking (if not in an emergency situation)?
John, your wonderful FrozenRight vendor doesn't have any contact information. I had a big order, but couldn't find a way to contact them for a couple of questions. Have they gone out of business or do I have the wrong website address? Do you have another vendor that may have the same equipment for sale?
I have only had A1 service from them. You should have received an order confirmation email, that will have the email address. I have always been replied to within 24 hours.
I’ve got to say the American way of measurement is confusing. Metric is the way to go. Especially when it comes to use water. 1 gram of water equals 1 ml. So easy to convert. I bake often and I don’t like to use cups for flour, you pack the cup to dense you easily use to much flour. I use gram and it will be right every single time.
Yay!! I get so excited to get a new notification of a new video from you!!
Yay! Thank you!

Hey John. Love your videos. Just wanted to let you know that I use a pizza slicer wheel to cut my crumble and it works great. Keep up the good work.👍
Great tip!

That would be Soooo good with butter drizzled over the top!
I think you mentioned getting a Ninja Foodi in one of your videos, hoping to see videos of that to prepare your food for freeze drying.
I need to work on that
John do you have a link to that scale you use? It looks like the readout is pretty easy to see and I am interested in buying it. TIA
this is the one that I use: amzn.to/320kXkJ
