- Honda Navi: The First EVER 16,000 Mile Review
The first ever 16,000 mile review of the Honda Navi on the entire platform of youtube! Yep, you heard me right. 16,000 miles on this beast. Go buy a Honda Navi!
"I'm not a RUclipsr": Proceeds to make the most RUclips video ever...
I’ve been watching a lot of Honda Navi videos because I’m planning on buying one myself, it will be my first ever vehicle and all the videos I’ve seen have been telling me it is not going to be a bad purchase
Based on my ownership it is reliable as heck for the price I am pretty sure you will love this thing as it has barely any actual issues reported with it.
Think is really good price but I think a groom or any of 125cc are better for $$ and 60+ mph..
@@middleburg11for their first vehicle ever?
@bloodcell6282 the scooter 150cc are good but almost double price
@bloodcell6282 it goes 50 mph if roads they use is 45 mph then be good...better than walking
I enjoyed your no BS video. I'm 79 and have had my Navi for a year, I am very impressed with the quality and design of the little bike. I have had several much bigger and more complicated bikes and really enjoyed them and have taken some pretty long trips with them. I have as much fun with the Navi. My biggest surprise was how well it does off the road. The only complaint that I have is the thimble sized gas tank. I would worry less about running out of gas if the tank were a little larger..1.5 gallons would be about right. Good job on the video and good luck with your future RUclips ventures.
I agree with you on the tank capacity. It would really be cool if it could be a little over a gallon, why would they use a .9 tank? Maybe there wasnt any space, but I wish it had at least a full gallon XD
Sometimes I have to fill it before I go to work and the trip home, that is tiresome.
1.5 would mean I would only have to fill every day, which is acceptable to me.
@@DiogenesOfCa y not throw on some saddlebags or a luggage rack and put a extra gallon of gas in there?
@@DiogenesOfCawhoa! Whole I would love to ride a motorcycle to work everyday that seems like a long trip. How many minutes is it each way?
@@bloodcell6282 about an hour
I have about 750 miles on mine, and I love it. It's great for city commuting and very fun to ride.
Agreed!
I have a 2022 Honda Navi as well, as of right now, I have crossed the 10,000 mile mark. I've had no major issues; except for a bearing in the cvt go out. That's it, other than that, it's been really solid
Congratulations on achieving that milage on your Navi! They are reliable as hell!
Did you fix the bearing yourself.
Great video! Honda's are super motorcycles/ scooters. I have one. Would love to see more of you and your rides.
Honda all the way man! Unfortunetly I do not have a gopro so I am not sure if I would be doing moto vlogging anytime soon but more content is yet to come!
Its great to hear how excited you are about this little motorcycle. I live in Panama in Central America and we see tons of these scooters running around. They are a lot less expensive here because we don't have those dealer prep fee's added to the price. We pay 1550. including tax and a nice helmet goes with it. Small scooters are a way of life for me. Been riding for years. I just bought a new Honda Elite and am waiting for the dealership to finish the paperwork on it so I can pick that up. I have an XRE 190 already as well. They don't sell that model in the US. Will you sell your Navi since you are upgrading?
wow i'm so surprised how cheap it is
You're lucky my friend. Prep fees SUCKK😅
Amazing video! You did a great job with the editing! ❤ Keep it up 😉
I've had my Navi going on 2 years and the first time I ran out of gas without the reserve on, I was right before I got to the pump. The speedometer had 88 miles on it. I have over 1900 miles on it. I also have a Can Am Ryker also. I give both bikes equal time on the road.
That's awesome man!
I was the first guy to buy a moped when they were legalized in my state in October of 1976, and I've loved small bikes ever since. Biggest one I ever had was a Honda CB400; my Navi is more fun than all of them put together!
great video my dude! i have had mine since the end of october have over 500 miles and i use it to get to work and back and i love it!
I have 3700 miles on my 2023 Honda Navi. all I have done is added 3 inches of foam to the seat and stick went to Joann fabrics and got some outdoor vinyl stapled it over top of the factory now my butt doesn’t hurt when I ride. The only things I make sure to do is use Amsoil and I only use 100% gasoline no ethanol from Sheetz. it is a red handle it’s the only gas station in Columbus Ohio that sells non-ethanol gas are you that? So I’m not cleaning replacing my carburettor all the time about $4.75 a gallon but when you’re only buying a half a gallon and you’re getting, 90 miles a gallon it’s worth it
So excited to get mine next week. Doing research I only hear good things. Nice vid brother thanks for the info!
Anytime!
I just got one 2023. It has less than 100 miles. I love it.
It really is a great bike man
I'm 64, and have ridden since I was 8 years old. I now mostly ride older Harleys, vintage British bikes, and vintage 2 stroke Vespa scooters. I have ridden a Navi. I didn't buy one because at the time Honda dealers were trying to sell them for around $5K OTD. It's also a little small for me. Even in town it's a bit slow. I did used to own a Yamaha Vino 125, and it kept up with traffic much better than this bike. Anybody complaining about the brakes on this bike is severely lacking in riding skills. I had no problems at all with the brakes. Remember this thing is 110cc. I could do stoppies on it all day long. I also love the carburetor, and the fact that it is carbureted would be one of my main reasons for buying it or recommending it. I may actually consider one now that the insane prices have come down. This bike is made in India, assembled in Mexico, then shipped to the U.S. It's definitely worth the actual msrp if it fits your needs. I wouldn't even consider paying more than $2500 OTD, and that includes tax, title, and license.
Yeah, I bought a XMAX 300cc scooter and they added over 2K to the MSRP by the time they got done. And then I hated the ride and sold it on for MSRP.
I am on the scooter side of the force though, my current bike is a used Burgman 400.
I’m from RI and the only complaint about my Navi is the cold morning starts. She takes a while to warm up. But all in all it’s my favorite purchase ever.
That is usually how it is with carbureted vehicles in general I feel you on those cold mornings I've been through it with mine lol
0 buyers remorse. It was 2.3k for a freaking RELIABLE vehicle.
Do you still have the navi?
Have you done the valve clearance checks every 4k miles?
How ofter are you doing oil and plug changes?
Great vid. Because I live in Hawaii the mark up is always high, also only only place to purchase here which was quoted OTD $3400.
That is a very rediculous OTD price for the Navi! If you want to buy this bike, maybe you can go on Cycletrader and find a dealer somewhere else that is cheaper OTD and ships possibly. I wish you best of luck!
@@2wheelVengeance2065 thanks man I already checked and nothing here. Aside from FB marketplace there’s only 2 dealerships and they run the island
That's a bummer. I'm waiting for one in Alaska and they said $2107 OTD which kinda blew my mind given how much more things typically are up here. Taxes is probably what killed you in Hawaii.
@@michaelearlgrey nah cannot be the tax. It’s the dealer fee. Our tax is 4.7
He’s right: Carbeurators are fine, if they’re jetted for your current altitude. Here’s a tip: have a competent mechanic jet them for the highest altitude you expect to ride at. My old Honda CM450 in Las Vegas was jetted for high altitude and had no problems summiting 9,000 ft or descending to below sea level in Death Valley - in March when it’s just 70 degrees; I’m not suicidal.
👍🏻👍🏻
"yes it's carburetor........" Nuclear warning ⚠️ alarm goes off... 😂😂😂😂 I LOVE THE HUMOR MAN..
Just get the bike or walk.. for beginners only.
There are higher mile navi reviews but they are not in English. The navi came out outside of USA around 2014 in India and other countries.
I bet there are I only know English XD
The brakes sacre me-no ABS, but they are linked, they could still lock up. What say you about the brakes? It is a good looking bike!
Considering both brakes are drum brakes they’re really not the best. As far as locking up I have never had one. but for the $1807 price tag they had to cut some corners lol
@@2wheelVengeance2065 If I spent $2K to modify the Navi, it could be a good bike, but at that point, I'b etter off buying a Grom, Pappio, Royal Alloy, Piaggio, Vespa, etc.
@@2wheelVengeance2065 I sat on a Honda Giorno recently and holy shit, my knees were 4" over the bar-no way I could steer it! I would have to get ape hangers, sit on very back of seat, put pegs offf the floorboard-WOW! I guess Metropolitan is the same. Scooterre also has a bike like that.
Your video is great man, you are a RUclipsr whether or not you think you are. That said, somebody please take this mans editing software away XD. Not one edit was an improvement just leaving it alone lol
Nice video, looking into getting a Navi myself to save some money when I'm driving around town.
In the future, please hit us with a headphone warning or something. The siren, and Shia LeBeouf, both startled the shit outta me lol
I want to get one but live in NYC and live in an apartment. Is there a way to make this hard to steal, as many scooters, bikes, motorcycle get stolen. Any advice. Thanks for your review.
I've seen apartment dwellers that just take them inside.
A gun works pretty well
@@Alex-oz9eh don't think a gun helps if the thing is stolen when you're in your apartment and it's on the street
Fantastic video, I enjoyed the no bullshit approach.. Thanks. I was thinking about buying one of these to do a cross country trip and I didn''t know if that bike will go the distance reliably. This video convinced me.. I'm getting one.
I'm glad I could help!
awesome review bro
Top video mate.
What was the top speed you can do comfortably for an hour or 2.
I cruise at 40 - 45 mph . on the highways not running full throttle.
Awesome!
Do you do your own maintenance . Nice video.
I do what I can. I'm not mechanic, but considering the Navi is a CVT transmission, it's very simple to maintain. I change oil and air filters on my own, very simple, basic things. More in-depth things I bring to a professional. And thank you for the support!
I had to stop at 1:55. Wind and crazy.
Would i recommend a navi to an enemy..no id tell them to get a tao tao!!!😂
I subscribed because you seem like a real dude, not trying prove anything, that's rare these days,
I call folks like us the foundation class, working man soldiers!!
Well soldiers in the making, not actually military vets, don't want Don shippley showing up at my door saying i stole valor lmao😂
Love the video!
Lmao thanks for the support bro it's highly appreciated!
🤣🤣
Hey brother what tires were you running on this navi
Most milage I've seen on a Navi video. Anyway, what makes it a scooter most of all is that the motor is mounted on the swingarm and not in the frame. The Super Cub, Trail 125, etc ... People call those scooters, but they're underbone motorcycles, which is a whole category of bikes we don't get much of in the US. Asia and the Pacific Rim get these sporty super-underbones like the Suzuki Raider 155, and I wish they sold em here. And it seems like everyone calls all these bikes "mopeds," but there are no pedals, so no moped. IDK, just felt like writing a paragraph lol. Thanks for the video!
No problem bro! Thx for the support!
Another PS. Try 10 gram rollers in Variator and see if you can fit “1000 rpm “blue clutch springs” in std clutch.
Awesome suggestion but unfortunately it is too late my friend. It is going to be sold next week. :(
16k miles?! Dam dude ur a beast.
Yessir! LMAO
Honda is just the best for reliability. Nice to know the Navi is no exception!
I have one ready to cop this week excited! Saw a video where they upgraded the springs have you thought about it yet?
Got my 2022 Navi and love it
Keep it stock. Maybe better tires.
Sweet I'm glad you love it😎👍
Had another question 😀 did you run your navi full throttle most of the time . i cruise most of the time at 40 to 45 mph. With throttle to spare My ride is 100% stock . just bought the 13 gram dr. pulley sliders and need to install them . i do all the service on my ride . Honda is way out of line on there prices . $90.00 for a oil change 😆 you tube is great for learning how to work on a navi. Good luck on your new ride . RIDE SAFE car drivers don't respect us.
Thanks for the vid. Really no engine issues at all? I find carburetor engines usually develop issues later in life. Difficulty starting, dying at idle when stopped at traffic lights, etc. Almost bought one a few days ago, but the carb scared me off.
Okay so I have had that problem if I am at a stoplight sometimes it will die and I have to restart it but that usually happens in cooler weather. I actually noticed it seems my Navi is struggling to get the proper amount of air in because I shouldn't have to use the choke on an 80 degree day lol. But I understand carbs can turn people away from a purchase. If you do buy the Navi, make sure to maintain it and keep up with the maintenance intervals that is located in the owner's manual. Good luck!
Thank you for making video
No Prob friend! I knew the internet needed this lol
Good luck with your RUclips vids. I like the Navi, but it just wasn’t enough bike, mainly because of it’s l price point limitations. I’m going with the Honda Adv 150 scooter as I want an auto transmission and yet want to have some laid back fun off road as well as on. It is def out-of-the-box approach but my research on it seems to show it “works” just like your Navi has shown you. If you want to step up to a more “easy 2 wheeling” economic and everyday fun transport, throw a leg over a Honda ADV 150 if you can. Check it out on RUclips reviews, - esp. one that asks “ Is The Honda Adv 150 A Real Adventure Bike” by an Aussie adventure motorcycling guy who posts vids on adventure cycling. I think It is under the title “Hard Packed Adventures.” Good luc, stay safe cycling.
PS. The fact you cycle with a low power bike thru N.E cold, wet shit weather really tells me you were born to adventure cycle !!!😎👍🤙
Thanks man! And the ADV 150 is an amazing machine. Alot more premium than the Navi for sure.
Navi xr150l trail125 that is my dilemma. I can live with the Navi with a couple mods. I can do a lot more with the xr150l but like the trail 125 and with a couple mods it will do 55mph fine.
im picking up a Navi on Wednesday
Awesome! What color?
Love the video. Thinking about buying one, Do you need a Motor cycle license ?
It depends what state your in. You may need a license. In my state, you need a class M motorcycle permit and be at least 16 years of age to operate.
Thinking about getting a Honda navi would i be able to install a speaker or something so I can listen to music while I rode
I am pretty sure you could. If you check out NAVI MAC LIFE he installed one right I'm the front. Nothing is impossible!
Great video. But please stop blowing up my ears! 😭😂
Thanks for your Honesty!!!
Maybe I didn't hear it during the video, but how tall are you? I want to get one but I'm 6'5". Just don't wanna look silly, you know.
I am 5' 8" however if you go look at Bikes and Beards' review, I believe he is around your hight and he thought it was pretty comfortable. I also chatted with these guys on Honda Groms once and they were very well over 6' and they felt okay. You may be comfortable on the Navi, but you will probably look a little tall, considering it's a very small bike.
Question, I’ve had mine for about a year now. Left my fuel valve on for about 3 weeks tried to start it now it started but once I twisted the throttle it stalled and won’t turn over again. Any suggestions?
Hmm.... I'm not too sure what the issue could be. With my Navi I would always turn the fuel valve to the "OFF" position whenever I wasn't riding... I'm not sure what's going on with yours, I hope you can find a solution somewhere. Worse comes to worse comes to worse you night have to have a bike dealer service it.
Audio was not normalized. Which is to say it had some loud parts.
How many valve adjustments
I have never adjusted these valves! Although I probably should've when I still had it.
Nice video! That Navi looks sweet for over 16k. I just hit 1.5k on my my Navi and love it. How many sets of tires have you been through?
So the front tire is still the stock/original one. The rear tire, my god I've been through about 4 because the way I rode so much it just burned out alot of the tread after around 4000 miles!
(I mean then again, I don't like spending money so maybe I should've invested in better, stronger tires🤣)
@@2wheelVengeance2065 no, small bikes just wear out rear tires. 4-5K per tire is normal.
I've had mine for nearly a year now, and it's been an absolute joy. I've got 10% of the mileage that you've got, though 😅
I was a pure addict man my life was I go to work and then I ride for the rest of the day😂😂
Wow that’s a lot o seat Time
Congratulations and I’m getting one now!!!
But I do like the 125z too
Congrats! I'm sure you'll love it!
the 2024 model is made in mexico and there will be more parts for this bike. most of the parts come from india, where it was designed for the local market. I think Im gonna get one, i need a bike to go to the gym , its close to my house so it will be more of a go to the 7 eleven type of bike.
Love my Navi. Only have like 650 miles on it and had it over a year 😂
Do you change the tire yourself? The dealer wants to charge me 70 to change the tire on mine
So I am able to take the wheel off myself but I need to bring it to a tire place to remove the old one and install the new one. They are not a dealer or motorcycle-specific place, but they only charge $12. So after they install the tire on the wheel, I take it home and install it myself back on the Navi. Very easy!
@@2wheelVengeance2065 Iv read it’s easy compared to other bikes to take the wheels off of. I’ll have to look into that later.
Look up zip tie motorcycle tire change. It works.
I have 20000miles on my Honda navi 2017 model india
I work 13 miles from my home do you think the navi would be okay for daily commute or the grom would be more optimal option?
What I can tell you is I believe it all depends on your route. If you need to travel on hilly roads and the speed limit is 50, the Grom will only be a little faster. On flat ground you will get around 47-52mph with the NAVI depending on weight, weather conditions, etc. If you travel on a route that the posted speeds are 45mph or under then really any model could work. Make sure whatever you buy you wont regret later!
100% O.K.
Hello! I'm thinking about getting the Navi to commute for work as well. There is no parking on my street so i was thinking i can buy yhis and it will for sure be able to fit in the back of house with no issues. My only concern is the acceleration, I live in California and the roads sometimes are busy. Do you know if the acceleration is good enough for stop and go traffic? Or is there a way to make to make it faster on acceleration with aftermarket parts? I really like it and it's price is amazing! But my only concern is the speed. I only weigh around 130 Lbs so maybe it will be fast enough with me on it?
If you have to accelerate from red lights or stops it is definitely completely capable of acceleration. I would try to avoid roads where the speed limit is above 45mph though, if any higher it will definitely struggle.
@@2wheelVengeance2065 thank you for the reply! Awesome video too! I'll take that into consideration!
If you buy a Navi watch out for ripoff dealers trying to charge ridiculous markup on the "fees". Thus gent paid around $2250 out the door. That is not bad. I have seen dealer quotes for as much as about $4400! I have seen " assembly fees" up to $850, yet have read that the Navi is super easy to assemble. This pisses me off to no end. Honda Corporate, and American Honda should be aggressively preventing this. I'm a 70 year old motorcycle rider that started off road at 10. I have bought close to 25 motorcycles and 6-7 scooters. The industry us counting on you, the new rider, to "upgrade" to ever larger machines, each time trading your old one in, at a large loss to you, as you buy that bigger one. Some of us, as in me, still get lots of fun riding any motorcycle or scooter. Hell, the back roads are more scenic and runner to ride on anyway. There are always plenty of bikers telling you that you just have to get a bigger machine. If you buy into that, the industry will love you.
Yes sir very good point there. Why can't people just charge a fair price? Then at the end of the day, it works out for both the consumer and the dealer.
Did you have to make a vid during a hurricane ?
How much do you weigh
Hahaah The ending😂😂😂. I appreciate that man.
Lmao glad you enjoyed the motivation speech🤣🤣
I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What's not to love thank you!
Thanks for letting me know that. i also have a 2022 and love it, 1,800 miles on mine. Heads up , other day my spark plug boot fell off going 40 mph. So guys I've heard about that on you tube. Theres a recall on the 2022 from Honda - speedometer cable can twist. Honda will replace it free. i paid $3,200.00 for mine OTD. i know i got screwed . in India a new navigation cost $500.00 😀 im American - live in south texas.
Puro956
Did you switch it to your reserve
Yes, but only if I was low on fuel I would turn the petcock to the reserve position.
Just got a quote today of $3052 out the door in Hawaii.
Damn....Hawaii is very expensive! Someone else in the comments also mentioned how expensive the OTD price is on the Navi. Here in Mass it was about $2400 for me.
you could tap it back into place with heat
I highly recommend using seafoam product in your gas.
1 oz per gallon.
Drastically reduces carbon build up in the head. Cleans fuel system and carb.
I use it in everything.
Never any engine issues.
Maximum miles
Thank you for the tip!
I use alcohol free fuel for two years now and carb issues are a thing of the past for me
Did you ever adjust the valves
Not once!
I bought one 2 months ago and I LOVE this bike! I'm 65 and have owned many bikes in my 54 years of riding. The Navi is pure fun and function.
Everyone my apologies for the sudden loud sounds 😅
#2WheelVengeance Where did you buy it? I am in the same state and looking to buy or order a new Honda Navi. Your input is greatly appreciated.
I get about 55 60 mph. But i changed jets and got the new exhaust
I appreciate the video but your added in effects were really annoying. Next time match the sound and it'll be GTG
Back again 😁😀 Gas problems , running out on the road . i keep a 1 qt. + gas container on my bike always + i have a 5 gallon gas container at home when i need gas . i don't want to go to a gas station every other day for gas .
Do you still recommend this bike man? I’m a bigger guy 6’1 and 240 and was wondering if I’m too big for this bike?
Yes, you are too big.
Honestly I would still recommend it. It is still rideable. Not to mention if you watch Bikesandbeard's review he is 6' something and he is pretty comfortable he said. I also came up to these two guys that recently bought Groms and they were really tall guys! Is there a Navi at a dealer near you? Maybe you can sit on one and see how you feel.
I'm 6 foot 3 and 260 pounds and ride mine everywhere. You're not too big for it. I've owned 12 bigger cruisers and sport bikes over the years as well. I'm still happy with my cheap bike to run around on. Me and my wife both have one and love them. Her last motorcycle was a Harley sportster 1200 and she loves this one just as much.
You got me beat!
Man I watched you all the time! Your NAVI is badass man especially with all the mods you got. Take good care of that thing!
Seriously, stop doing the loud noises like that. It's unbearable.
This video is off the chart my guy!
Thank you 🙏🏻
Awesome
That USB cable is not compatible with my OCD, lol.
See on RUclips “ Hard Packed ADV” for review of Honda Adv 150, - esp. “ Is The Honda Adv 150 A True Adventure Bike?” A good look at the adv150 capabilities.👍
Dealerships in Cali want $3700 out the door
Buy one now. Just do it!!!
The mileage is just based on a 40 pound lighter individual
It must've taken 4,000 hours to drive that far on that
In all, probably haha. However I didn't ride for 4,000 hours in one sitting😂😂
It is easily the best value on the market in its class. A metropolitan goes 22 mph and costs 900 more. A grom is twice andmuch and then some. Who cares aboutdrum brakes.Mine work fine
Same
Well if only get around, then you gotta GeT ArounD!!!!
Nice!
That's a lot of miles for such a small bike..OMG..how can anyone sit that long..
Lmao only bike addicts like me🤣🤣🤣
Did you ever worry about people stealing it? Or trouble where to park it? Or do you just park it in a space like you would normally a car
Good question. I did worry about theft. At work my managers allowed me to park behind the building so that took some anxiety off of me. Other times if I went to Walmart or something I parked in a normal parking spot.
Bent my left peg too!
I bought a new2022 kawasaki klr 650 and a new 22 honda forman atv last year...both great machines...I'm buying one of these tomorrow to fill that little little niche between the klr and quad ( running to the store or?) And..And...And, at 68 I know for certain that this is a "chick magnet" in that while I was at the honda dealership sitting on one, I noticed a female employee staring at me (I believe in a somewhat wanting fashion), as I had to remind her I was far more than just eye candy...(this was a Harley dealership also) ...So yes, if there's a downside, it's the misplaced bravado that is attached to this ground shaking machine...If you can deal with that, this may be your call to the open road...
Totally agree man I hope you enjoy the bike!
Rip headphone users
That is a lot of trips to the gas station!
I have the same color Navi and had it for 8 months, but I only have 2700 miles.
The tank is way to small and the seat hurts my butt.
Yes the brakes are really bad.
With all that said the bike is super fun for short trips
I agree! The seat doesn't bother me too much, but I wish the fuel tank was just a little bigger. Brakes aren't great, but for $1807, it's a total bargain!
2:04 dude dont do that shit again
mainly been using navi front right break to break should i use both right and left break break at the same time ?
Generally you would want to use both brakes at the same time when you need to stop however using front and rear or front brake in a curve/turn is not a good idea. Lightly apply pressure to the rear brake in a curve/turn if needed. But if you are just riding on a straight road and need to stop, both brakes are recommended!
thumbs down for the no headphone warning
I was using a speaker, and that shit was so loud
