Hi Will, loving your videos. We just purchased a townhome in one of the new developments in Travelers Rest. It’s truly a beautiful town.

The wife and I are moving down by the end of August. We will be working in Greenville, I've been looking at TR, Liberty and Easley. Looking for a great proud American place to call home.

Which is a better place to retire? We are going to be in the area next week and I have a lot of interest in the Swamp Rabbit Trail as I’m really into cycling as my fitness routine and just don’t have that here in Florida.

I have clients who are retiring that move to both areas. You can have quick access to the SRT if you live in the Simpsonville/Mauldin area, and you also of course have quick access to it if you live along the trail system which spans through TR, GVL, and Conestee area.

Tough call either is great but I would lean to travelers rest just to have more mountainous terrain considering where I live now is flat as a pancake

Prices have steadily climbed this year on average but we are seeing more price drops and longer days on market

While Travelers Rest has many pros, Travelers Rest is often touted as being a great small town with a small-town vibe, but there is simply no way the downtown section of TR can truly have a small-town vibe with a busy, noisy, four-lane road going through the middle of it. Not to mention an obvious lack of trees planted all along the roadway. I am unsure why this is not super obvious to the town planners and the realtors touting Travelers Rest as some kind of idyllic small town. Makes no sense. Instead, be honest about it and fix the problem. It could be a great small-town community if the town did address this very obvious noise/traffic issue and made Travelers Rest more walkable and less vehicular friendly.

Travelers Rest has trees along most of main st. Compared to other suburbs, Travelers Rest is smaller with less people. So

There are trees along isolated sections, but there are miles of roadway in and around TR that lack trees and landscaping. So there is definitely room for improvement if those in TR want to promote this town as really cute, charming, etc.@@gvlrealestate

if the pricing does not drop this is not doable, the purpose of retiring is lower living cost. I will keep looking

The price I mention is simply an average. It doesn't mean that's the floor of prices. Call me and let's chat about finding you a home that fits your budget.
