imagine someone dies and the cops thought they faked it so for years they were trying to catch him or her and then they realised they wasted like 5 years of their career looking for a dead person
The problem in most of these stories isn't that the faking didn't work. Most of them got found out way after that, because they didn't cut all ties to their old life.
See, I’m sure that these stories are like 1% of all real cases...because I’m sure there are a lot of dead people who actually are alive but no one figured it out
Yeah, people have gotten away with it before for a while. It's not unreasonable that a smart and careful person could manage it until their natural death under a false identity (which barring obvious reasons to investigate probably wouldn't reveal the fake and at that point you legitimately are dead)
Easy, go hunting or hiking in a remote or even semi remote area of the wildernes to "destress from it all" leave your vehicle there and just leave. Many people who die in the wilderness are never found. Just plan out your new life very carefully.
All it takes is a moderate amount of planning and then just walk into the wilds. Wait a while, leave only a car as a trace, and make sure to pass by a river or stream to throw dogs off your trail. After that you could just make sure to not leave anything around. If you had problems at home or at work, a smart person would assume you committed suicide or went to the forests to unwind, and met an untimely end. Then you need to get out and move to a place where you will never be suspected to be at. Move often if alone, but don't if you have a new family. Never reveal yourself, if your cover is blown your done for. And if you have life insurance, investigators will have a probable motive for your death to be faked.
Oh that reminds me of the aokigahara forest in japan (I think it was by mount fuji). People go in there to suicide all the time & often their bodies are never recovered.
Simply fax in statement of death by funeral director to social security from a funeral home. Create a fake file of that case and file it in their cabinet. And there you go
@@alabamadeep4471 the problem is what happens when people start wondering what happened and try to figure out how you died, where the body is, stuff like that. Also that seems honestly like a lot of work for something with such a high likelihood of failing. I see what you mean though.
The funny thing about this is that you only ever hear of people who fail when you research properly. Somebody who is intelligent about it is never getting caught with it and never gets in the news for faking their death. It's like learning how to win a game from only seeing people lose.
Bruh that woman that faked her own death to avoid her choir friends, and then going to your fake funeral is so messed up. I bet she was wanting to know who cared/showed up.
Being a postal worker myself, I can tell you from visual and audio confirmation, that 90% of the post office workers will tell you "I hate this place and couldn't care less what happens to it. So long as it's after I retire."
To all the people saying stuff like "The people who have successfully faked their own death haven’t been discovered yet", please consider that some people came out about it, without being caught.
Sometimes, the opportunity just presents itself. You're headed to another long day at work in the twin towers, buy you're running late. You see the planes run into them. After your initial shock, you turn around and walk away, disappearing forever.
Imagine taking getting eaten whole by an alligator (in front of a whole tour group for witnesses) only to have the alligator be a disquised mini submarine that you use to swim away from every one
I had an ex who tried to take that he was dying of cancer! We sat and cried, talked about what the next, last, 6 maths of his life would look like, the funeral, and how much we wanted to share with our daughter at the time.
