I watched, with other people, in horror as The Galloping Ghost lost control and crashed into the tarmac at Stead Field in Reno Nevada. It was the most surreal event I have EVER seen in my life. The Ghost hit the ground so hard it shattered into small pieces and sounded like window glass being broken on the ground as they fell back to Earth. I cried.

Lovely flight. I have 21 planes, and my favorite is my 950mm durafly brewster buffalo. I normally wait before buying a plane but I ordered this yesterday after watching Dominic from essential rcs video, as this plane looked agile and stable like the buffalo but faster. Great that your video looked the same but prettier. I have never done underarm hand launch, but will practice with buffalo first. Time to get out of bed now here in uk. Oh man I love flying when it is that still :) Perfect. I know exactly how you feel when you fly a plane like that, it is just the best feeling! When it flies that smoothly I just like to cruise about at 50% throttle too and just enjoy the scale and the scenery. Very nice scale flying and filming too!

Love you guys! What a plane. Crazy today you can open the new box at the field and have a plane like that flying in what.. an hour? When I was a kid we had to put it together from sticks and put all the skin on.
then mess with an engine tune and fuel.. this electric stuff is where it's at! Though I would still have a couple glow and 2cycle's in my collection.. nothing beats the sound.
I remember all the old guys at the field poo-pooing the foam planes. They'd complain about how do you fix then if you crash.. Well in the yers I did RC the vast majority of crashes resulted in splinters or totally unfixable. Crashes seem about as fixable between foam and wood. the foam ones are just so easy quick and cheep.
Thanks for inspiring me too get out and try flying rc planes again after a long break they didn't have those foam planes back then they are so easy to repair them when you crash them
