This great-looking and superb flying Avios KingTwin 1700 sports/scale model is based on a small twin-turboprop and is very reminiscent of the type used by the military or civilian charter airlines around the world. The simplistic, yet striking color scheme depicts the type of paint jobs commonly used on civilian propliners.
The KingTwin 1700 is packed full of cool features including LED lights, retracts, and split flaps. The powertrain of 2 x Aerostar 3748-820KV brushless outrunners with Aerostar 40A ESCs was chosen by the Avios team after careful testing. This combination of motors, ESCs, contra-rotating props, and a 4S LiPo battery proved to be the optimum setup for power and duration.
The KingTwin 1700 has the ability to operate happily off of smooth, short-grass fields, and of course hard runway surfaces. The split flaps enable scale take-offs and landings, and the daylight visible LED lights add that touch of realism.
For transportation, the outer wing panels feature a unique latching system that allows for quick and easy assembly and removal. This system also includes a quick connect/disconnect plug and socket for the servos and LED lights. Throughout, the KingTwin 1700 uses the very popular and reliable Turnigy HXT900 servos - this is a first for an Avios model. Due to the low parts count of the tough EPO airframe, and being PNF, the KingTwin 1700 is very quick and straightforward to put together, most of it has been pre-assembled at the factory.
The Avios KingTwin 1700 is fantastic to fly and looks brilliant in the air. It has excellent low-speed handling, and at speed, it really grooves and locks in. It's a real pleasure to fly. This impressive twin-engined model is a worthwhile addition to any modeler's hangar for its looks, ease of assembly, and excellent flight characteristics.

Beechcraft was 'bought out' by a Company named Textron...They recently announced that they would stop making this model, the 'C90'?!? ( Possibly this is the reason Avios could 'model' this particular aircraft)?? IDK?
The C90 was first produced in 64' and was later modified into the 'Iconic' T-Tail configuration...This type was called the 'F90'!

The drawing is just one of those 'stumble on perfection' things like a Strat, F550 Maranello, Riva ... one can study it for hours still finding new shapes and bridges .. and while boasting with features vulgarity is far from it . even the model seems darting through thin air resting on the bench :)

Definitely modeled after the Beechcraft King Air 90, beautiful aircraft. Worked on Beechcraft 1900D early in my aviation career, a blown up version of the King Air. There are several King Air models, the 90 was the first. The King Air 350 was the largest then you get into the 1900 model. The King Air's were aimed at the corporate market and the 1900's at the Regional airline market. Thou most of the 1900's are now "retired" to corporate use.

Great flight and zooming as usual. I was fortunate enough to get this beauty on sale at half price and free shipping in the US while they lasted. Of course now their only available over seas and spare parts are rare. One thing I'v found through rcgroups and others is the CG noted in the quick set up guide shows 80-90mm and is actually wrong. The on-line manual shows what is the correct CG of 65-75mm which on my plane puts the 4000 4s as far forward as it can go. I too had to mod the wing clip to get them to snap but instead of shaving foam I used fairly course sand paper and sanded the plastic tab until it would snap. One should check the motor cross brace screws as well as the motor mount screws inside the cowls. Some have been found to be loose. Still to maiden mine but I'm sure she'll do fine as yours did.

Absolutely beautiful plane and awesome flying.
Used to work on a C and F90 King Air, very good job on the scale work. They even have the vents on each side of the nose for the air conditioning unit on the model. Now, if I could get these guys to do a Dash 8......

Great looking Scale Plane and it Flies scale as well.
Hobbyking has been coming out with some really nice Planes.
Change the linkage to get more Elevator throw. Top hole on the servo horn, bottom hole on the Elevator horn for Maximum Throw.
A few FMS planes used to be hobbyking. (Ive come across a few videos that 5 years ago WERE hobbyking). Guarantee fms increased the price & added their name.
& Fms is the most inexpensive brand horizon hobby sells. Still, good quality.
@@old-rcplane-phart I think FMS requires their quality control to make sure to buyer doesn't have to finish the job of trimming foam, placing decals (where is the rest of de-icing strip on the starboard wing)....but easily bent nose gear (just like on this landing) and parts that are on backorder are common. Thanks
