Bought the air compressor to carry in the bag on rear carrier on my Rad Rover 5. Haven't used it on my bike, but did to reinflate flat tires on grandsons regular bikes. Compressor worked like a champ. A good $47 investment.
Fantastic information! I cannot BELIEVE I didn't see the digital pump before!!! And I never heard of the Tannus tires either. I'll definitely be getting that too.
A very good video and tips & tricks, Stan! Kenda, Maxxis and the others should produce this dimension of tires with kevlar or other protection inside. With the tires Continental Contact Plus, Schwalbe Marathon Plus, Schwalbe Smart SamnPlusand others one can ride 10'000 miles and more without any flat. Another advantage: The mentioned tires are not extremely expensive. But these tires have smaller (less wider) dimensions. Another possibility is the have smaller rims, for example only 1" inch wide instead of 4", and then putting the "Plus"-tires from Continental, Schwalbe etc.. 2" wide tires is in lot of the cases wide enough. The disadvantages of rims and tires for Fat Bikes are that one can only put big/wide tires. Especially the tires are expensive and offer a bad puncture protection. Even a bigger problem are the tires for the Rad Wagon - they are exotic ones. Rad wants customers to buy tires from Rad.
Man this guy is super rad this is what I hope to be like when I'm leaning towards his age.. also sick video just ordered one thanks for the tips I appreciate the video keep on rolling sir
Nice video Stan! Got a Rad Rover for my wife 7 weeks ago but it was too massive for her. I then ordered a Rad City Step Thru for her which came 8 days ago and she loves it! I rode it a bit too and it's great as well. I've been riding the Rad Rover in the meantime and like it, but I have knee problems and it was difficult to swing my leg over the seat (I'm 6'4" so the seat is high!) so I ordered the Himiway white Step Thru cruiser for myself. I'm a big boy and the bike is rated to higher weight limit as well... When it comes next month I'm going to sell the Rad Rover. I'm curious to see the difference myself from the Rad Rover! I heard that the Himiway has a bit more pep, but the specs seem to be identical so I don't know if that's true or not. This is more fun than I ever thought possible! We're both 61 and it's opened up a world of joy for both of us!
@@DIYJIM My wife is around 5'3"and the Rad City is fine for anyone 4'9" to 6'1". I ride her Rad City once in a while with the seat all the way up and I'm 6'4", and it is pretty small for me.
@@DIYJIM She just went on her 1st extended 10+mile ride this morning, and she loved it! Not quite the 4" fat tires on my Rad Rover, but easily handles the grass, gravel, mud, and everything else we ride through on the trails near us in IL.
Yes, they do have them at Amazon for a better price, but I found them for my Himiway Zebra which is a 26"x4" at Quietkat E-bikes for $115.56 out the door shipping and tax included for two tanus liners without the tubes, Tanus said you can use your original tubes for the 26x4 but they recommend one size down so I got the tubes from amazon, I think they were two for $23.oo but I will use my Originals first!
He stated that he had 1 flat every 2,000 miles, so if he went 4,000 miles, that would be 2 flats, your statement says 5 flats, so you have 1,000 more miles overall, that's 3 more flats, so Fix It Flat, does not work as well as the insert setup, other than price of each method, and the labor involved in fixing a flat tire, the obvious conclusion is Tanus insert and Flat Out tire sealant, is a Win Win ! 20 x 4" fat tires, and also 26 x 4" fat tires tire pressure is from 5--30 PSI depending on your situation (your body weight + cargo weight, etc etc) and also this insert +tube internal pressure for a smooth and comfortable ride
@@BillZadwell he actually said he went 8000 miles over the past few years and got a flat about every 200 miles. So not sure if that changes your calculations
Stan! I need your advice now plss! Im shopping for my first e bike and im torn bet rad rover 6 and the himiway cruiser. I know the rad is $200 more and himiway comes with free accessories.. which one donu recommend for overall riding. Gravel. Pave. Etc. i will not do hardcore mountain biking for sure. @@stanthereservoirrat5934 thank you Stan for the reply! Now i might have to wait and see if you will review the Aventon Aventure! Another bike to be confused about! But if i dont get the Aventon. I will take your advice and go with the Rad Rover 6. Thanks again!
Just take a small plastic bag and cover the small computer screen when transporting from water - otherwise the bike is water proof -I never remove the battery when transporting from IL to Florida on my open trailer - I just cover the small computer screen - same is true when it rains outside - if water gets inside - use UV Ray's to dry out - the SUN or a UV nail dryer
Great points. Must be nice to be able to stand in the middle of the road, and not worry about traffic. I was raised in Queens NY. Bus bait if your not fast on your feet. Leaving here shortly to finally get out of communist NY and move down to Gods country, where freedom can be found. No worries, I will not vote democrat.
I received a Himiway last week. Complete junk. Never worked. Error 22, 24, 25. After a week of going back and forth, they’re sending me new brakes, throttle, and motor. I don’t even want the bike. Opened a buyer dispute with PayPal. Got the motor kind of working with the most terrible noise. Not enough to power to take over for pedaling.
Love this video! That board you made up is great! The bottle holder/Church 🗝️ was too 🤣. 🚲 On!

Where did you get the soft topper for your truck? I like that.
i got it used.
10 pounds - to soft - 20 to 50 pounds - depending on the tire - reduce air pressure for the beach.
I've ordered one i like the look of the bike so much looks more like a motorcycle 😁
Was there really a Gator there? Cool vid! I bought the pump and love it.
Good tips!
What type of bottle opener did u use?
That exact one is not for sale but this one should work. Stan amzn.to/3c8MAxs
Love the last tip of watching out for alligators! 😅
Was that alligator in the Addicks or Barker Reservoir? I've never seen them in the Addicks.
the alligator was in barker.
Thanks, nice video
I put 4,000 miles on my Rad Rover - easy solution for flat tires? Use 3M heavy duty tape inside your tire - I carry Fix It Flat - it works
What did you say that armor insert for the tire was called?
Tannus armour. I think rad power bike sells it or get it from Tannus. Last time I checked you can't get it on amazon.
what is the recommended tire pressure for this bike?
I would put a maximum of 20 lbs. I run mine at 15 lbs.
4,000 miles - I had 5 flat tires - Fix It Flat - works
Which one do you recommend? The Himiway uses tubes doesn’t it?
