Hey I just bought a Hemingway Cruiser and I took it for a 20-mile bike ride and the battery power indicator still showed full. But it was down one light on the battery, is this normal? Or is it not working right.

Yes. It's in the manual I think second screen of the settings. But listen it will change your screen you will see it in miles. But in the screens where you put the max speed ( inside setting ) it will always be in kilometers. So when u put 90 ( kilometers ! ) The max of your speed is gonna be 55 miles. ( That is crazy for a bike. But anyways. ) My bike says the max speed is 40 and I set it at 40s. That it will be around 23 miles. Not so bad for a bike. i don't want it faster neither if I wanted a motorbike I will have bought one. I want and ebike just for the assistance to go up hill here in L.A.
Yes, there are people in the Himiway community that suspect the default 26in tire setting isn't acuate when measuring travel distance due to the thicker tire so some will change it to 28in from 26in for a more acuate distance reading.
@@E-Ryders Nelson tech question my bike I went into the setting and set my pedal assist to 0-9 on mine but every time I save it. It still defaulting to level 1 when I turn the bike on. Do u know how to fix that?
@@brian3255 It always starts at 1 when you turn it on. But now you have the option to press the minus button to get "0" (No peddle assist). If you set it to 1-9, then you have no option to turn peddle assist off to zero and will always have peddle assist. By selecting 0-9 you have the option to turn it off and just peddle on your own power.
@@brian3255 Its always gonna start at 1 when you turn it on. The only difference will be the option to decrease it to zero by pressing the minus button.
Do these instructions come with the bike or did you find this information somewhere else. Because I'm considering getting a himiway and don't want to void any warranty by changing anything they don't want me changing.
Has anyone come up with optimal pedal assist values they’re happy with? The OCD in me altered my 1-5 pedal assist power levels to 20, 40, 60, 80, and 95% power respectively. Now 1 feels almost the same as 0, but 2 literally takes off. So I’ll probably increase 1 to 30% power.
On mine when I start petoling it takes off so fast that I haff to slam my brakes trying to figure how slow down The speed on the petol AST. Then just ez in to the thotol let me know thanks 👍👍

Well, regardless of what the display says, it'll never really go past 32 or 35 anyway with the current motor. But I suppose that leaves an option for future motor upgrades.

The new models being sent out since 2021 are not customizable anymore. You can change a few things, but they now locked everything else out.
