Getting jacked up on sugary cereal and then riding bikes around the neighborhood all day until the sun went down in the summer was awesome. Great to grow up during this time.
This Video is - GOLD !!! I grew up with these Cereals & I still LOVE them to this Day. Even though I was a child ( back then ) I actually remember what they taste like. The 80's had - THE BEST - Cereals !!! GOD BLESS THE 1980'S
1980s cereal was the greatest, we were spoiled back then, we had it all and the cool toy inside each box. Unlike today, there were dozens and dozens of different cereal to choose from, video games, cartoons, TV shows, movie's and the regular brands we still see today. Kids today could never understand!!
My grandma had a Fruit Brute figurine, tied to the string of the light switch in her pantry. I didn't even remember the taste of the cereal (we always got Boo Berry, Franken Berry, or Count Chocula). But I loved looking at that Fruit Brute figurine.
Mr T , E T. And Ghostbusters cereal were the best childhood days of my life. Saturday morning cartoons Super Mario Bros and Excite Bike 🚲 and football practice. Great Times ❤🎉❤🎉
You gotta admit General Mills was tops when it came to sugary breakfast cereals. I had Crazy Cow, Pac-Man, Donutz, Ice Cream Comes, E.T. & Rocky Road as a kid (though not all at once). 😁
Here’s the thing, I want the cereal recipes from the 80s back. None of the cereals taste the same. I can’t stand them. I don’t know what they did, but nothing tasted the same so I don’t even eat them anymore.
The monster cereals (Boo Berry, Franken Berry, Count Chocula, etc.) switched from oat and corn base to just corn. It just doesn't work for me, and I won't even buy them when they're on sale after Halloween.
Ghost Busters and Mr. T cereal was so sweet n tasty plus very delicious. I was an 1980s baby born in 1978. From about 5 years old to 11 in 1988 when I saw these commercials me and my twin sister would be like dad let's try out these new cereal. He always obliged. I would get my box and my sister Maliqah would get her a box. My dad would always get Kellogg's Frosted Flakes, he happily called _Tony The Tiger's._ The 1980s was so magical for cereal. Seemingly a new cereal was out every other month. Weekend mornings me and my sister would watch Saturday morning cartoons. Glad my dad kept cable vision, mainly got his sports but for us at the time, cartoons and Superman (1978 - - 1985) the movie would prove to be popular until about 1989. That's when they stopped showing the movie on ABC stations around Christmas time and HBO.
This was a great trip down memory lane I remember 90% of the cereals from when I was a kid and commercials. Also freakies cereal , Nintendo cereal, Rocky Road cereal, nerds cereal, Smurfs, magic, berries cereal(I remember liking that better than Smurf berry crunch), morning, funnies cereal. So glad I grew up in the 80s and 90s.
I remember FREAKIES. I still remember the T.V. commercial. The cereal also offered little figures of the FREAKIES. BOSS MOSS, CRABUNCLE, GOODY-GOODY, just to name a few
My favorite celebrity cereal when i was a kid back then was Mr T cereal they were Captain crunch they tasted the same but only T Shaped 😅😅😅and the cartoon wasn't bad either
We had a project in grade school where you made your own cereal brand, including designing and constructing a mock-up box. We had an after-hours event with parents walking around the cafeteria where we were all set-up pitching our cereals. I remember _A Nightmare on Elm St._ being the dominant theme. Seemed like at least 1/4 of the school made a Freddy cereal.
Shoulda had Sugar/ Honey Smacks on here. Had some a few months ago. That cereal good AF lol. Too much damn sugar tho. Now I see why my mother didn't let me have it like that back in the day. Got it off Amazon.
I mostly miss the prizes in each box. I would open a brand new box of cereal and put my whole hand and arm down inside it to find the "prize" before I even ate any of it. I also miss sitting at the kitchen table reading the cereal box as I ate my breakfast. There were always puzzles or useful info to read.
Oreo O’s are still around. Saw them today. Cookie Crisp, too. I remember all of these except King Vitamin and rice Krinkles. I’ve heard of King V, but never saw it in stores. My favorites were Rocky Road and ET cereal, but I had forgotten about powdered donuts and ice cream cones. You also forgot OJ’s cereal.
For some reason, I was not really a chjIbren's cereal guy: I'd mostly eat cereal that adults would also eat, like Raisin Bran, Corn Flakes/Frosted Flakes, Rice Krispies, Chex, Honey Nut Cheerios, Wheaties, etc. It wasn't long before I was eating them plain! But, when I rarely did go outside of this box(pun unintended), it was Cookie Crisp, Smacks, Fruity Peebles, and Cinnamon Toast Crunch...When I became a young adult, I began to mix Fruit Loops and Apple Jacks together: you should try that at least once! It's the atum bumb!
I don't know how my siblings and I made it through the day, let alone childhood. Sugary cereals and sugary drinks for breakfast, a sugary treat (usually Little Debbie or Hostess) with lunch. Kool-aid, a sugary treat or homemade treat, and candy when we came home. Kool-aid with dinner. And a sugary cereal, ice cream, or an ice cream float before bed. And we were athletes (football, track, soccer, and wrestling). I hardly ever drank water, until I was in my 20's, and I didn't drink much at all in a day.
Smurf Berry Crunch was the best cereal ever!!! I sent an email to Post once requesting the rerelease it. This was right around the time the live action movie came out. Post said they never had a Smurf Berry Crunch Cereal. So I sent them a picture of the box. Their response, that product has been discontinued. Then they released that garbage Smurf Cereal later.
I begged my mom to buy that rainbow brite cereal! It’s taste like Trix. That’s the only one I remember off this list besides Oreo O’s, Cookie Crisp and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. No ipad back then just playing the games on the back of the box and finding the prize!
We absolutely loved Smurf Berry crunch!!😋
Getting jacked up on sugary cereal and then riding bikes around the neighborhood all day until the sun went down in the summer was awesome. Great to grow up during this time.
Great times remember all the commercials?
It absolutely was. I'm thankful I got to be a kid then.

Have you noticed, it's only the top 20 cereals on the shelf ? Only in large sizes. Kellogg's and Post know what they are doing. 👁️🇮🇱
Strawberry shortcake cereal was fire!!!
@@ashleypeterson340 YESSS! As was the Rainbow Brite one!!!
Smurfberry crunch was SO delicious!😊
If only it was possible for Gargamel to have an encounter with the Munsters as well as the Addams Family?!
Still remember my mom telling me “You bet not dig your dirty hands in that box of cereal!” to get the prize 😂
After growing up with '80s breakfasts, i'm surprised I still have all my teeth and no diabetes.
I still buy Crisp Cereal my Grandma used to buy it back in the day in the 70s and 80s.
Now that’s the spirit!
My grandma had a Fruit Brute figurine, tied to the string of the light switch in her pantry. I didn't even remember the taste of the cereal (we always got Boo Berry, Franken Berry, or Count Chocula). But I loved looking at that Fruit Brute figurine.
I have not forgotten about the ET cereal and the Mr. T cereal . I remember eating those cereals back in the 80s when I was like five or six years old.
The good ole days when there was a toy in each box. ☺️
I remember eating C3 PO cereal as a child. Insane how time flies. I remember eating that Rocky road cereal too.
Remember the cutout masks on the back? .

Heck in my opinion we should’ve mixed em all up in one bowl. Heaven
Cookie Crisp is still around.
So are Oreo Os. 🥣
Not the original taste
@@bruceaskew2107 Right. The old ones were the best
Try to by cereal now a teorrist might come after you
Bro, Cookie Crisp was the best!
I wonder if these cereals were collected somewhere? This is so cool❤
Excellent video ❤️💪🏽
Interesting, but even Rainbow Brite would have avoided 1313 Mockingbird Lane as well as 0001 Cemetery Lane.
Here’s the thing, I want the cereal recipes from the 80s back. None of the cereals taste the same. I can’t stand them. I don’t know what they did, but nothing tasted the same so I don’t even eat them anymore.

Your taste buds have matures.
Same thing happened to me with Applejacks. Once a favorite, now tastes like raw aspirin to me.

Smurfberry crunch was the best cereal ever,id give anything for that to come back.
Waffelos were a childhood favorite of mine. I especially liked the Blueberry Waffelos.
This was a great trip down memory lane I remember 90% of the cereals from when I was a kid and commercials.

"Nutritious breakfast" I love that line on the dunkin donuts cereal, talk about false advertising. 😄
To be honest, I vaguely remember most of these cereals. Especially when I came to the Ghostbusters cereal.
Heavens to hemlock.
Kellogg's C-3POs were repurposed Graham Crackos.

C-3PO cereal always had those cheesy masks that you could cut just and add a piece of yarn to wear around the house.
They should bring back Cookie Crisp i miss that Cereal
Team Flakes were my favorite non sugary cereal. I miss them so much!
Rocky road cereal was the absolute best cereal of maybe all time.
I never got to try it 😢
The Mr T cereal was my favorite as a kid. As well as the TMNT, Ghostbusters and batman cereals.
Most of these were safe enough, but there’s a limit to possibly having Rainbow Brite getting scared off by the Addams Family and the Munsters?!
Cookie Crisp 😋
I mostly miss the prizes in each box. I would open a brand new box of cereal and put my whole hand and arm down inside it to find the "prize" before I even ate any of it. TMNT cereal was always my favorite
Rice crispy treats reigns supreme
Do anyone here remember ever having Popeye cereal? Now that was some good cereal back in the day I wish they would bring it back.
The C-3POs also had a cutout mask on the back!.
I was never allowed to get any of these, l was jealous of those kids whose parents bought any of these boxes of sugar. Now I get it mom and dad
Too many HEALTH minded parents, and not enough caring given the circumstances of the dilemma.
My aunt and uncle were like this and their daughter ended up being. 350lbs because of it.
