Never seen, nor heard of them ANYWHERE else. I lived in the Midwest, South, Northeast, & Intermountain West (all USA) from the 70-90s & never saw one, nor heard of them, until Northern California!
The commercials were legit memorable and fun as kids in the 80’s too. Commercials today are just boring and a major inconvenience. Those commercials for kids on the 80’s and 90’s made us just want the snacks and toys even more! 😂

Candy or snacks in the 80s was equivalent to looking around a record store or a coloectibles shop, as a kid I spent time trying to figure out what i wanted, because therecwas so many great choices to pick from
I found my old baseball bags from when I was in little league and afterwards from the early 90s at my parents recently and in the bag was maybe 15 discarded packages of BIG league Chew

Yeah, everything does. I saw they still sell PeanutButter Caption Crunch. I bought a box because it was my favorite as a kid. It tastes nothing like it did, and it barely tastes anything like peanut butter. Threw it away.

@20:00 That is Patrick Wayne, John Wayne's oldest son advertising Marathon Bar. When those were first put out in the 70s the inside of the wrapper had a 12-inch ruler to show the candy was a full foot long. They removed the ruler in the 80s when they downsized the candy.
A few years ago, a nostalgic urge hit me to go buy some Carnation breakfast bars... I went looking around my local supermarket, trying to find them among the cereals and energy bars. Yeah there was something about them, that slightly gritty, not-quite-sweet experience!
Pudding pops were the best!! I really wish they’d bring them back. Also, I’d give anything to get carnation instant breakfast bars back. Lol. They were basically a candy bar you could eat for breakfast. 😆❤️

I still remember years ago when I was a kid and I was given a free sample of Bonkers at the NY State Fair in Syracuse. Loved it.
They were my favorite candy as a kid, I remember hearing that they were coming back, but they never did.
I think about them every time I look at the candy aisle ... chocolate of course.

Whatchamacalit was so much better back then. The addition of caramel to the bar overpowered the peanut butter Rice Krispies flavor.
