@@philipbrazill2155 there are several factors such as inflation, higher meat cost, and especially the demand for a $ 15.00 an hour minimum wage. Those are just some examples.
Yupp,....had to get rid of those,....they figured out that Americans LOVE to spend $ like its on fire, even though you can buy the same products around the world for pennies on the dollar.
I remember living in Evansville, In in the late 80's, when federal agents were transporting Pete Rose to federal prison in Terre Haute, and he wanted to stop by a McDonalds for a pizza, and they accomodated him. It made the local news back then.
I worked at McDonald's in the mid to late 90s. I remembered foundly of the Arch Deluxe Sandwich. It was very popular at the time. Especially overnights and weekends especially with bacon and oh yeah supersized.
I worked at Subway on and off between 2005 and 2010 in the greater Seattle area, and the Seafood Sensation absolutely had a cult following, with one family driving 20 miles to our location because we got the balance of mayo and artificial crab just right. Two others with cult followings were the pastrami and the veggie patty, both of which smelled amazing while they heated up. BTW, you can sometimes find imitation crab in grocery stores. It comes packed rather like those foil packs of tuna, but usually in plastic, and you can see a red and white slab inside. Score it into strips with a knife, use your (clean or gloved) hands to break it down into bits, and mix in your preferred mayo a little at a time until it's as coated as you like. That's literally all there is to it, "crab" and mayo. The video kinda implies that other ingredients are mixed in, but they're actually part of manufacturing the artificial crab (it's made with fish and various other ingredients, no real crab whatsoever).
They could bring back the Mc DLT if they really wanted to. Maybe use the same containers as the breakfast pancakes? Just a thought. I'm surprised the Mc Rib
I only heard of 2 of these, and both were McDonalds burgers. The item I miss the most was when Jack in the Box was Monterey Jacks. It was their Swiss and Mushroom burger. At the time, nobody made it. They got rid of it and now every sit down place has it,......but nobody comes close the what Jack was doing with it.
I miss the original "chicken littles" from the 80's. They were like 39 cents, perfect for my 8-year-old hands, one in each hand as we go to play at the park. The mcchicken comes close, but the littles were smaller. Sliders basically. Today, I've never had the remake. It just looks too hard, too crunchy, waaay too much breading - not appealing atall. Just take it out of the bun and dip it in the mayo, basically. Its a chicken strip, now.
In my youth i worked at pizza Hut, before pan pizza, we made our dough fresh (they don't now), we had thin n crisp6 or thick n chewy, which had an excellent sauce, they experimented with bbq pizza, and taco pizza, which was excellent if you eat it right away, didn't do well on take out.
Was hoping to see the Taco Bell Chicken Club Burrito and Bacon Cheeseburger Burritos on here! They were SO good! Barely anyone I know remembers them but I do!
Wendys did so many awesome things in the 90's. I wish it were all the same. The superBar also had an all-you-can-eat fish fry on Fridays, here in WI. Our store was owned by Junior Bridgeman (like most locations in SE WI). It was great fun working there and the freshness of the foods were all perfect - try to find a piece of cauliflower in a fast food joint today - that salad bar and the salads back then were actually all healthy and good. And the limited time special chicken and burger offerings were never-ending! Chicken cordon-bleu, the big bacon classic on the real kaiser roll, montereay ranch chicken sandwich, honey ham chicken, Smoky bacon cheeseburger with sauteed onions YUM, grilled chicken, Fresh Stuffed Pitas! Even the fish filet was better! At least they still have baked potatoes, chili, the dreaded double-stack (that one gave me drive thru nightmares when it came out - I didnt work the grill, but sometimes I just had to help him get the orders out) and a close-to-original taco salad (a bit soggy at the end, but still perfect). There was a honey glazed chicken sandwich I dont remember as well as the monterey ranch or cordon bleu, and another chicken special, and so much more. After 99, I think the Frescetta sandwiches were a big hit, too. But the 90's nostalgia trumps everything with the 99 cent value menu, the biggie size for 39 cents more (how many times a shift did I have to say that one?), the hockey scratch-offs, and absolutely the ever awesome super bar. I still have some felix the cat kids toys.
Uggggggggggggggggg Please don't say salsa sauce. Salsa is Spanish for sauce. Salsa sauce is redundant. That is like saying yes, si! Salsa isn't a kind of sauce.

Am I the only one annoyed by the “Satis-freeze” pronunciation over SatisFRIES.
Came to the comment section to see if anyone else was annoyed by this too.
