Honestly I like to imagine they intentionally do a bit of this back and forth from time to time, not just cause of the rules, but because they know Maya enjoys it when they go lawyer mode. Look at her in those panels, she's hyped.

"Rules Lawyering" is already a cool thing to see during play, but adding in a Rules Prosecutor to keep everyone on their toes is extra hilarious. I really like Edgeworth and Gumshoe deciding to adhere to rule of cool for Maya's enjoyment at the end.

Oh, don't worry, it's worse. The Rogue can indeed Use an Object as a bonus action, but using a magic item such as a potion is explicitly not the Use an Object action, according to a sentence buried in the DUNGEON MASTER'S GUIDE!
than what is the point of fast hands? if you can't use it for magic items and regular items gms rule under free action, what circumstance allows you to use it and not feel like you made worst subclass choice?
@@arekushi_ninjo2454don't worry assassin rogue is worst subclass for rogue however fast hands is actually more used for thieves tools as a bonus action as the idea and has many other uses than just potion, altho most DMs do allow bonus action potion. In fact in my group bonus action potion is allowed regardless of class as we rule action potion as a max roll but bonus action u have to roll. Makes it more fun. Also an idea for thief rogues like one I wanna try is trap setters. Get Items like ball bearing and caltrops and spray them on the field as bonus actions. Make it a minefield for the foes.
There are plenty of equipment options to use beyond magic items. Bombs, acid flasks, and many poisons require a full action to use. But yes, 5e rogue is pretty weak.

Wait maya cant use sneak atatck regardless cuz she used strength to roll the attack NOT Dexterity therfore its null and void

Sneak attack simply states finese or ranged weapon daggers are fineese regardless of if its used with strength stat or dex stat it can still use sneak attack.

0:12 it's not really seen well, but she has +4 mod on strength, and +1 on dexterity
And yes indeed it's attack with any finesse or ranged weapon, strengh rogue doesn't make much sense, but it can work thanks to that
