The Red Cat Bar in the beer bar complex being renovated is one of my favourite day time hangout places. I hope it stays in its original format. The toilets at the back of the complex however are the most rank in Pattaya. Hope they get the makeover treatment 🙏
Drank at the Lucky Sar for many basically because of position , corner Soi 8 and Beach Rd . Before it was Memory Bar with tables/ chairs , it's own toilets etc . Went to Sharples fish n chips soi 5 Phratamnak in Feb when I was there, unfortunately sign outside said closed due to staff shortage. So we went to O'Garas bar instead, another good restaurant. I seem to remember you did a video on the original Sharples off soi Buakhao somewhere, but I can't remember where it was? Visited New Plaza sports bar a couple of times, friendly bar and big Leo for 80b if I remember right.

Always interesting to see what's going on while I'm gone. Heading to Japan for a week of driving around the countryside in the smallest main island of Shikoku. Totally different vibe from Pattaya.
The mirror bar hasn't had a lick of paint since 2015 and maybe longer, it's the very first bar I went into, it still has the same mamasan she always looks after me, she always recruits pool sharks who cheat 😂😂😂 I have many time left there pissed out of my 💀 good memories. But it definitely needed a refurbishment.

I am not going to recognize Pattaya when I come in December with all of these new places. but I am booked up and can't wait to get there. I was going to book into the A7 Hotel, but it is a little too close to the bars for my liking, I managed to book a room in Secrets in Soi Buakhao instead, so close enough to your bars. Neil.

@@NDTViThailand I thought it would be too noisy being so close to the bars, that's why i chose to get a room at secrets. Having said that I thought the rooms in A7 Hotel looked great, I am only in secrets for a fortnight, I may change to A7 Hotel if you still have rooms free.
love love love me some khao soi and honestly if i was served khao soi or boat noodles, i would not be disappointed 1 bit. i agree i like my sauce on the thicker creamier side. i just feel like it coats the noodles better and packs more flavors in with each spoon/fork full. the one you had today looked like one that would make me very happy. of course price/quality will always win outright in my opinion.
Lotscof old unused parts some years ago mate, wheni first visited Pattaya and before I made soi 6&7 my best areas of choice, but cannot wait to see what Improvements they make cheers 🥂 😊

Very popular through the day those bars , im personally not much of a daytime drinker . i leave that till the evenings, but ive always noticed they have good numbers through the day whenever ive gone past .
I'm with you rarely do I drink during the daytime. I did over Songkran and I enjoyed being in bed by 9pm and up fresh the next day. I started at 4pm early but not really daytime like some of them who start at AM.
I went to their restaurant in Pratumnak and it was the same. Looking at the pics it does look the same and they plan to franchise these so the formula has to be the same.
I used to have fish n chips from the last one, (Liam's i think) and then eat them in Micky's bar opposite. try and beat Guy (lady) at pool in there, she's a demon ;-)

Soi 6 is very much booming Soi 7 is still a work in progress situation but it can only improve as the bars and hotels get a much needed update.
Let’s hope they refurb the band at the Beach Rd bars too.
I am told the Red Car bar bought out another bar and it will be a big sports bar.

Reason is it’s prime location they will want the land for better use, either a hotel or brand new bars, the old Pattaya needs it. Progress.
