RIP Walking Street.
I started going In the late 90s and try to visit every trip. My last visit to Pattaya was last year and I went down walking street once in the 4 days in town. The street has changed so much these last few years, and now feels like a tourist trap for families to enjoy some sleezy feel of the past. When I started going to Pattaya there was 2 streets called Pattayaland 1 and 2 a bit further along beach road which were full of go go bars also. Then times felt like the peak time.

Quite an eye opener that one Trev! Some change is inevitable, but its pretty major change there. Still worth a one off visit for old times sake, but its a different feel now for sure. Thanks for sharing Trev, all the best mate!
Great video trev as always. Im in british indian born and bred in Yorkshire! I came to pattaya in early 2000s first time. It was very different back then. But now I do agree the wealthy indians have come to pattaya as its easy reach from Indian and visa’s have been relaxed. I was in pattaya in Nov 24 a few weeks ago and the behaivour of some Indians on walking street is the reason alot of go go’s have banned indians from entering. I personally got refused from 2 bars on walking but I generally go to soi bukhow and tree town, soi 7/8 bars who are very welcoming! Not alot of indians there though! 😂😂😂 back in feb will pop in and say hello!
It’s definitely changed in the 8 years I haven’t been back. Loved the little hidden Soi’s off Walking Street and Rolling Stone bar had great music. I’ll be back Christmas/New year so looking forward to some Buzzin walks ✌️
I wouldn't worry too much about Walking Street and it's dramatic changes, after all its just one street and as you've pointed out and showed us in your nany vlogs Trev, there's so much more to Pattaya than One street full of Bars and Girls
good god how horrible it has become. My first visit was in 2004. I been 15 times. Last trip was in 2019. Oh the memories. The Sea, The Carousel, Marine Disco, Super baby and all its neighbors on that little area. FLB a fine place to sit and chat. Living Dolls. For all those years I visited a few times each year it was welcoming to go and see the same familiar places. Hot Tuna. Was so planning on semi retiring there but it just got less attractive year after year. Now the pending taxation of foreign income paperwork is the nail in the coffin. I will visit as I retire next year but won't be a long stay visitor. I personally think 2004 was about the peak and best years there. Beach road had flower beds, benches to sit on, the trees were not butchered and chopped down. I didn't want the big Central Festival mall. I got malls here in the USA. Garden Mall and the Big C mall with its cinemas down by the now gone Dolphin roundabout was just fine for my getaway. I loved Carre4 and thought it had a better and different selection than Big C which it now is. I miss the internet cafes. Met some nice ladies in there and for 10 or 30 baht an hour it was fun to stop in and check email or browse a few things. Didn't have nor need an expensive fancy Smart Phone back then. Life was simpler. Eastiny Place on Soi 8 now closed which was my first stay hotel in September 2004. Soi Yume was not fully paved and my buddy always stayed at Nantana Garden up that way. Oh well. Thanks for the walking street video
I’ve been going to Pattaya and of course Walking Street for over 40 years. I even lived in Northshore Condo for 3 years and my feelings are much the same as Trevor’s. Walking Street has lost its mojo. Ok, I haven’t been for 5 years now as I have a home elsewhere but what I recall about the Indian and Chinese tourists is that they spend very little money. Indians 6-10 to a double room. Girls only from the “Coconut Bar” and when girls went back to their room, there’d by always more than one wanting a go for the same price. As for the Chinese, almost all are on cheap all inclusive holidays and they’re not spending money in bars etc. They arrive everywhere in coaches and specialise in decimating buffets. This is how it was 5 years ago so I left. From what I see on Trevor’s channel, I don’t think I’d enjoy Pattaya much nowadays. The current demographics is not something most westerners would enjoy. Perhaps up Soi 6, Buakao, LK Metro or The Dark Side will be ok for a while until they consume these areas too. Fortunately I remember the good old days of the Tahitian Queen, the Windmill and Soi’s 6, 7 & 8. Definitely will not be paying Walking Street a visit. Great video Trevor. Thanks for the update.
@kennymcclymont2066 totally agree. The inevitable creep can be seen I watched a video last night indoans i. Gangs wandering around bukhao glogging the road up. You will see more of em. Chinese tour groups don't spend I. Bars. Koreans stay to the 6. Some venture but not many. Don't care for russians block it will all end in tears.look at phuket for instance.
The first time I went to Thailand and saw Walking Street was in 2019. I then saw it again in 2023 and noticed huge changes, and not for the better IMHO. Apparently it has been in a rapid decline since then. It looks like staying in Central Pattaya and going to LK Metro, Treetown, Soi Buakhao and that general area will be the place for me.
Central Pattaya was dead in February this year, was hard to pick a bar as I hate going in to empty bars with a few girls attention all on you wanting drinks. Talent very poor also! Walking street was just full of Indians. Shame how bad pattaya has become!!
Wow! It's been more than a decade since I've been to Walking Street. We'd always go to Tony's Disco, and the Russian bars were a new thing. Everything has changed. I'd love to see what it looks like at night now. The one thing that never changes in Pattaya, is that the city is always changing. Trevor, you're now officially an old-timer. Welcome to the club.
I don't know if you have noticed Trev but everything in Pattaya has been on the slide for years, made even worse by the pandemic. The so-called busy season lasts about a month now.
Beer Garden behind Trev at the end is always worth a visit: food, drink, music at sunset. In all my 30 plus visits to Pattaya have never gone into a bar or club on WS. If you are flush, you have Soi 6. Then you have Soi Bhukhao and Soi Pothole. Personally I am a Jomtien fan, the road to the beach and Soi 7
Great video Trev , walking street is so different every time I come ,it’s certainly not the same as 10 years ago , I come and have a look , but I do not like Indian music and thousands of Chinese tourists , I need to visit your lounge when I come back in a couple of months
I was in pattaya in August and one night I took the baht bus down to terminal 21 to eat at the food court. Then I decided to walk back to the bukaoi area via beach road and walking street for fun. It was interesting to see the areas where I stuck out like a sore thumb for being a “westerner.” Honestly when I was on walking street the whole time I felt out of place for many different reasons. I think what bummed me out the most is how certain demographics seemed to treat the Thai people (who I’ve come to absolutely love) with what to me is extreme disrespect.
Yeah the changes are kinda stark. Too see the Hot Tuna bar gone is a heart breaker. Every time I came to Pattaya I made it a point to visit it. Been to the Janaat club once. Enjoyed it. Skyfall and the Doll club across from it too.
Nangnual is the oldest seafood restaurant in Pattaya, walking street. It's been open since the 70s i believe. Quite expensive as far as I remember. Really good RUclips channel. Thanks
Looks like that top end is pretty much as was with the other half being totally transformed into luxury beach resorts and tourist restaurants taking advantage of the Ocean Front setting. They do look quite nice some of those new places....sign of things to come I reckon!
Pattaya's future is going to be more Balkanized, with zones you just don't want to cross over too based on racial or ethnic identity, including Walking Street. I think there are already undercurrents of resentment towards some of these changes from talking with the girls.
I was down there today, and I noticed the massive changes. I was never really a fan of Walking Street. It’s a shame what’s happened to it, it doesn’t seem like Thailand anymore. I think over the years more and more bars will go, and there will be more restaurants and shops.
Been going to walking street for the last 21 years, great times but hardly recognise it now,Simons Beer Complex used to be great. Also Rolling Stone bar on the corner where you lost your bike.
Walking street is the perfect place for people that are easily excited over girls in pleated mini skirts or little sailor shirt tops in high heels that sit or stand out advertising cheap booze . And for guys that just cashed in a heap of money and have no self control over booze , money and girls . They should rename walking street too curry muncher street ,
First time there in 1981 used to drink at mothers bar in the marine bar complex and P72 also the rock and roll bar just before walking street there was a small bar just behind the tree
Since I discovered Jomtien I hardly go to Pattaya. Lots of friendly women and nice bars for me (55 years). Maybe they target walking street to Indians, Chinese and Korean tourists. An extra reason to avoid it. All the freelancers I met don't make appointments with Indians and Chinese men for different reasons. Not my words...
Well if those women are not interested in Indian and Chinese men, I wonder keeps bring those people back to Pattaya? 😂 Simple fact is, the girls have more ways to make money, there are more asians willing to spend money there compared to westerners. Also the girls are now choosing more younger men as well, so the older ferangs aren’t “hot commodity” as they once were.
@@JPBARON25the Rompho market is excellent. Lots of bars. Kiss restaurant is very good and the street food stalls. And recommendations for bars I don't have. Rotation of girls goes very fast. I usually don't look at the bar itself. If I like the music and I see a woman who iam attracted to I buy a beer in this bar.
Hate to say it T, but Walking Street lost its luster years ago! Last time I went to WS was 2017. Be back in 3 weeks, will make 6TH trip without getting near the place. (Would have been a lot more, except for the farce called Covid) Don't miss it at all....
The missus and I christened the upstairs rooms on opening night with Oosa (no.34) at New Misty's with Andy and Paul in charge. We got applause coming down the sweeping Hollywood-style staircase 😮❤.
Change seems constant in Thailand it seems. I like how clean it all is though. Not much litter in the streets. Is it due to harder laws or the people just more respectful or both? Am curious. Anyways thank you for sharing mate. I always enjoy your content. Have a good day Mate 👍
Havent been to waking street at night for years, apart from going to see Phil at LePub. Used to go there and have the best time - got through a bucket list there in a few days. Damn good nights they were.
Was it Simon bar complex? And the right of tree Linda bar? Marine was good when had that gogo bar just before you went inside on the right.Cant remember name Is happy a gogo still there?
Been in Pattaya since '98. Beer bars, gogo, freelance, massage were great but not much else on offer. Gogo bars especially declining due to restrictive rules and higher cost, but Gentlemen's clubs and Internet are picking up the slack. Way more quality restaurants, shopping and lodging options, upgraded infrastructure, improved beaches. The 2-week blast has lost some bang for the buck, but living there long term has become more satisfying.
If I changed my style to suit everybody I would just be going around in circles for the rest of my life I am me and that's all there is to it I'm sorry if I don't suit your needs
@@Buzzinpattaya Trev . If you’re getting your eyes done ( if cataracts ) try and go for the removal of cataracts only , most places will try to make you get lens replacement. Some good reviews and some not so much . Try the cataract removal first . You can wear glasses or contact lenses.
I loved that place went 12 times in 3 years from 2013 it has given me lifelong memories. Sad to see it change, hopefully I can come back soon for 1 last hoorah
Okeanos Agogo -did that used to be Alcatraz? I'm pretty gutted over the loss of Red Car Disco as well - admittedly I haven't been there in ages coz I'm getting a bit old for nightclubs, but I had some great times there back in the day.
Started coming 2007 - spent almost every night in Walking Street - year on year until other areas appealed more to me since 2015. Main reason prices for beer and lady drinks went sky high and the freindlyness dissappeared and all you could see was Greed. There will always be Super Rich Russians and Indians so now this is the place for them. I would though still go to the Clubs Late at Night but dont have a chance when its full of Korean, Japanese and Arab Guys throwing their money everywhere. The days of me being Handsome Man long gone and spending 30000 THB a night just to impress is not me. I just go for the Music. Not to worry though other areas improving all the time so Pattaya still a great City and I will always be back year after year but just not Walking Street. Thanks for Update Trev.
Russian bars if you go in alone a girl will come and sit with you, and a drink for her will appear, that you have to buy 😢 not cheap ,can't just go in for a look 😮
Times move on Trevor it’s sad mate. I visited and went straight to hua hin I don’t think I’ll ever go back to Pattaya walking streets done for mate and soi6 was better 20 years ago. Still iam 55 now I started going to Pattaya at 30 years old I meet my wife there and are still married to her. It’s not place I loved it was brilliant in the late and early 2000s if you know you know streams are great long may they continue
The Indian nightclub is such a waste of space… every Thai woman I’ve ever met always has horror stories about them lol so taking up that much real estate is wild… that’s okay they’re going to learn quickly that won’t work out. Tourists don’t like that crap.
@ yeah, I’m a software engineer and my networth is more than enough to buy any of those clubs in Thailand they’re not that much little man. You’re butthurt 😂😂😂 you don’t know me kid. I make more than enough to buy several properties per year in Thailand kid be humble
Good Video Trevor, First visit to WS was in 1992 and stayed at the Cherry Hotel on Second Road, Visited every year for 10 years, Then married and visited every 5 years staying at the Diamond Beach Hotel, and drinking at the Carousel Bar out front, now a little older and stay at Jomtien Beach, Palm Beach Hotel be their Jan 2025 and I will look you up and catch up. Be nice to meet you. Regards John & Chulee - Sydney.
Two brothers in late 2021 and early 2022 was a parking lot. Was open until a piece of the concrete gave way and they closed it down. Then it got redeveloped into what it is today.
The old Windmill was great. I used to dine in Swiss Food restaurant right opposite before going there to meet a really nice lady. I think I saw Trevor in there once, covered in soap suds.
In my opinion Trev, I don't think they should just target 2 different nationalities. And Countries It should be targeted for all To enjoy walking street. But what do I know! I've just been in hospitality. Business for 30 years. Thank you for your video. Always a pleasure
I was on walking street last night for the first time since the dreaded virus (4 years) and I would say it is aimed at people from India and Asia. I think I saw at least 3 of those airgun galleries, which seems strange to me.
Watching one of Trev’s video from a few days ago with One Stop, apparently Indian and Chinese visa requirements are looked at “more closely” than other nationalities. It does make you wonder whether this shift to pander to Indian tourists is a sensible strategy.
Walking Street is starting to look like Khao San Road for Indians and Russians. A lot more accommodation, restaurants and other shops there these days.
The first time i came to Walking Street years ago i was amazed. Now it has lost most of its appeal. Unless you're Indian, Chinese or Russian. That shows me in what direction Pattaya is going. Why on earth would i travel all the way to Thailand and go inside let's say a bar with Russian girls ? Thank you but no thanks. I will stick by the Soi Buakhao/Chaiyapoon area.
i see Mandarine is gone, that was one of the first i visited on my first ever trip to Thailand in 2013, i think they trying to end most of the gogo bars as fast as possible it seams
First went to the asking street in 2017 and it was still worth a trip by 2019 it was going downhill, now I only bother going near it to go to Le Pub and Windmill.
Morning Trev , Two brothers was a bar complex , not sure name . 20 years ago used swimming pool and restaurant belonging to Windy Inn . Relaxing afternoons . John Buriram .
Behind the buddah tree on walking street was a bar called Saloon bar where Leam Morrison and his bass player Robert had their business. You could buy the best pizzas in town with the special herb topping if you know what I mean T 😂 . In 1986. Fantastic days T.
Wow, I first went around this area 30 yrs ago, can't remember if it was called walking street but I do know it's been on the slide, looks dead now unless you are Russian, the days when you could sit at the back of a complex over the water, play pool, watch girls, watch the sea😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
"The present is spoilt by my memories of the past." Never has this phrase been more telling after this visit to Walking Street in 2024, compared to 1994.
I went to the Janaat club one time. I actually liked it. Same with another Indian club down the street. And yes the "European" and "Uzbek" women were choosing. ❤
@andysutils no doubt. I first came to Pattaya in June of 2019 and since I've seen changes. Even from videos as far back as the mid 2000s I can see how things changed.
Was that restaurant old simon complex?i was there last week felt very sad seeing all the old clubs and bars missing, marine original hot tuna all gone😢very sad
Yes, Abbe Bar was a great place to go before heading to Marine Disco. They would always play your musical requests on a decent sound system and a great spot for people watching. My first visit there was in 1994. And my last one was 2015, just before they sold out to a French GoGo Bar Group. Happy memories of a Pattaya that has now gone forever.
Imo walking street has been the reason to go... If it's being eliminated then why go to Pattaya anymore. I've been coming to Thailand since 1975. The adult Disneyland is moving? Where? WTF
Спасибо ! Просто отличный обзор. Тоже сильно впечатлен производимыми изменениями. Было бы интересно посмотреть 15 soi WS и soi Диаманд в ночное время. 😮
Only went once in 07 and never planned and never will go again! I had such a time of my life. I knew that great chapter could never be repeated.. So I'm glad i left it's legacy on a high.
When I visited Pattaya I used to go to The Wildcats club off walking street. The girls were very very friendly there. Also used to sit in the Ladyboy bar further up opposite the tree. They were friendly and chatty and I always felt safe there.
used to be a tailor shop next to the tree & on the other side was a great bar called FLB, some good parties in there. never spent much time in the gogo's but there has been a couple of good ones. Xzone was crazy, Beavers was great when it first opened & a couple of other that names i can't remember
Used to go in beavers back in 2007. Heavens above and some really good otters. You got 84baht to gbp then. Glory days! Everything was really simple there back then.

- I guesstimate 15% of the units are either up for rent or vacant (bad sign)
- It does look better with the power cables now underground
- That gogo only opening on weekends is odd, be interesting to know their reasoning for that
- Seems there's the fewest number of gogos that I can remember (the 'big' ones seem to be dominating the market on WS)
I wonder what WS will look like in 5-10 years from now...

I personally got refused from 2 bars on walking but I generally go to soi bukhow and tree town, soi 7/8 bars who are very welcoming! Not alot of indians there though! 😂😂😂 back in feb will pop in and say hello!
Cheers mate
After 40yrs of visits this is heartbreaking at least I saw it at its best
yeah so many changes
It’s definitely changed in the 8 years I haven’t been back. Loved the little hidden Soi’s off Walking Street and Rolling Stone bar had great music. I’ll be back Christmas/New year so looking forward to some Buzzin walks ✌️
And so quickly
I wouldn't worry too much about Walking Street and it's dramatic changes, after all its just one street and as you've pointed out and showed us in your nany vlogs Trev, there's so much more to Pattaya than One street full of Bars and Girls
Cheers mate thank you
good god how horrible it has become.
Broke my heart
@gkprivate433 it was even better in 1991, they had land back of soi 6 that had elephants on that went walking on beach Rd. Glad I saw it at it's best
Looks so different from my first excursion about 10 years ago...But things change. Enjoyed the video dude! Returning in December!
Change quickly as well
I’ve been going to Pattaya and of course Walking Street for over 40 years.
Thanks for sharing
@kennymcclymont2066 totally agree. The inevitable creep can be seen I watched a video last night indoans i. Gangs wandering around bukhao glogging the road up. You will see more of em. Chinese tour groups don't spend I. Bars. Koreans stay to the 6. Some venture but not many. Don't care for russians block it will all end in tears.look at phuket for instance.
Its either Russian or Indian bars that are taking over. Went in a Indian bar and it was all guys in it
Thanks for sharing
The first time I went to Thailand and saw Walking Street was in 2019. I then saw it again in 2023 and noticed huge changes, and not for the better IMHO. Apparently it has been in a rapid decline since then. It looks like staying in Central Pattaya and going to LK Metro, Treetown, Soi Buakhao and that general area will be the place for me.
Thanks for sharing mate
Cheers mate
I don't know if you have noticed Trev but everything in Pattaya has been on the slide for years, made even worse by the pandemic. The so-called busy season lasts about a month now.
I get ya mate but it's not been that bad, quieter yes
Beer Garden behind Trev at the end is always worth a visit: food, drink, music at sunset. In all my 30 plus visits to Pattaya have never gone into a bar or club on WS. If you are flush, you have Soi 6. Then you have Soi Bhukhao and Soi Pothole. Personally I am a Jomtien fan, the road to the beach and Soi 7
Yeah that's a great venue
First trip to Patts was January 2015, even the difference since then is absolutely breathtaking. I recognise literally nothing now
Yeah changing rapidly
Was there regularly 2000-2010, full of great GoGo Bars with stunning girls.
Now all gone.
Times change
Great video Trev , walking street is so different every time I come ,it’s certainly not the same as 10 years ago , I come and have a look , but I do not like Indian music and thousands of Chinese tourists ,
I need to visit your lounge when I come back in a couple of months
Glad you enjoyed it
I was in pattaya in August and one night I took the baht bus down to terminal 21 to eat at the food court.
Get ya mate thanks for sharing
Yeah the changes are kinda stark. Too see the Hot Tuna bar gone is a heart breaker. Every time I came to Pattaya I made it a point to visit it. Been to the Janaat club once. Enjoyed it. Skyfall and the Doll club across from it too.
I missed it mate being a tit, it's still there sorry
Nangnual is the oldest seafood restaurant in Pattaya, walking street. It's been open since the 70s i believe. Quite expensive as far as I remember. Really good RUclips channel. Thanks
I lived in Jomtien 2005-2008 & spent many winters until 2017. Nang Nual's the only place left I recognised. Blues Factory gone as well?
Thanks for the info!
@@pamrobinson4350 OMG. Blues Factory was really good. Went there many times.
Thanks Trev, Looks like bigger and fancier geared towards younger crowd
Indeed
Looks like that top end is pretty much as was with the other half being totally transformed into luxury beach resorts and tourist restaurants taking advantage of the Ocean Front setting. They do look quite nice some of those new places....sign of things to come I reckon!
yeah so much changing
Pattaya's future is going to be more Balkanized, with zones you just don't want to cross over too based on racial or ethnic identity, including Walking Street. I think there are already undercurrents of resentment towards some of these changes from talking with the girls.
Gotcha mate
I was down there today, and I noticed the massive changes. I was never really a fan of Walking Street. It’s a shame what’s happened to it, it doesn’t seem like Thailand anymore. I think over the years more and more bars will go, and there will be more restaurants and shops.
So many
Been going to walking street for the last 21 years, great times but hardly recognise it now,Simons Beer Complex used to be great. Also Rolling Stone bar on the corner where you lost your bike.
so many changes
Another great vid Trev ...very insightful ....tbh when u do the evening vid we will be able to gauge whether the changes are working or not
That's the plan!
I wonder if theres indian dudesd making videos about how soi buakhao is shit 'its all hotel California and bon jovi in every bar'
hahaha hope so, then we won't get taken over like WS has lol
Walking Street is now Bombay. I give it a miss - every chance I get. No thanks.
Gotcha
Walking street is the perfect place for people that are easily excited over girls in pleated mini skirts or little sailor shirt tops in high heels that sit or stand out advertising cheap booze . And for guys that just cashed in a heap of money and have no self control over booze , money and girls . They should rename walking street too curry muncher street ,
First time there in 1981 used to drink at mothers bar in the marine bar complex and P72 also the rock and roll bar just before walking street there was a small bar just behind the tree
Cheers mate
I'm glad I'm not a bar hopper anymore....still love Pattaya
Happy times my friend
Since I discovered Jomtien I hardly go to Pattaya. Lots of friendly women and nice bars for me (55 years). Maybe they target walking street to Indians, Chinese and Korean tourists. An extra reason to avoid it. All the freelancers I met don't make appointments with Indians and Chinese men for different reasons. Not my words...
Heading to Jomtien in Decemeber. Any recs for bars and food? Thank you!!
Jomtien is nice
@@kaos1189 why in gods name would a young man want to and have to go to pattaya to pay for a leg over...leave it to us old gets 😂
Indeed, a bit of an eye opener Trev. 🙏for the video 👍
Thanks 👍
Hate to say it T, but Walking Street lost its luster years ago! Last time I went to WS was 2017. Be back in 3 weeks, will make 6TH trip without getting near the place. (Would have been a lot more, except for the farce called Covid) Don't miss it at all....
Yeah I get ya mate
The missus and I christened the upstairs rooms on opening night with Oosa (no.34) at New Misty's with Andy and Paul in charge. We got applause coming down the sweeping Hollywood-style staircase 😮❤.
Hahah brilliant
Change seems constant in Thailand it seems. I like how clean it all is though. Not much litter in the streets. Is it due to harder laws or the people just more respectful or both? Am curious. Anyways thank you for sharing mate. I always enjoy your content. Have a good day Mate 👍
Yes, you are right
Weekend alert run for fun 😁 👍
Nailed it mate - BOSH!
Yes Trevor, the shark club on walking st was recently opened and the 79 club I would give a thumbs up, ia nice line up worth a beer or two 👌
The first time I was there was in 1979. Man, everything is different now, it changed alot during all this years......what a pity😪😪😪😪
Wow would love to have witnessed those years
Big Tool...lhh
I'm weak!!!😅
Can't wait to get to Thailand❤
Lol
Hot Tuna has gone?! That was one of my favourite spots on Walking St!
No mate was closed sorry
@@Buzzinpattaya Phew! 😊
Havent been to waking street at night for years, apart from going to see Phil at LePub. Used to go there and have the best time - got through a bucket list there in a few days. Damn good nights they were.
Nice one
Was it Simon bar complex?
And the right of tree Linda bar?
Marine was good when had that gogo bar just before you went inside on the right.Cant remember name
Is happy a gogo still there?
Haha spot on mate fair play
Good information again.
Glad it was helpful!
Was thinking of retiring in Pattaya from the uk in 4 yrs, is it even going to be worth it?
Sure
NIGEL FOR GET PATTAYA HAVE A LOOK AT KANCHANABURI AND HUA HIN
Been in Pattaya since '98. Beer bars, gogo, freelance, massage were great but not much else on offer. Gogo bars especially declining due to restrictive rules and higher cost, but Gentlemen's clubs and Internet are picking up the slack. Way more quality restaurants, shopping and lodging options, upgraded infrastructure, improved beaches. The 2-week blast has lost some bang for the buck, but living there long term has become more satisfying.
Still the best city in SEA it had everything you would want.
Some vids I can understand 1/4 of what you’re saying….but I must say…this one? You went well beyond any and expectations!
If I changed my style to suit everybody I would just be going around in circles for the rest of my life I am me and that's all there is to it I'm sorry if I don't suit your needs
Glad they cater to the Indian and Russians I'll stick to the other 1000 streets with bars and ladies😊
Lol
@@Buzzinpattaya Trev . If you’re getting your eyes done ( if cataracts ) try and go for the removal of cataracts only , most places will try to make you get lens replacement. Some good reviews and some not so much . Try the cataract removal first . You can wear glasses or contact lenses.
I loved that place went 12 times in 3 years from 2013 it has given me lifelong memories. Sad to see it change, hopefully I can come back soon for 1 last hoorah

Yes it's lost me , I prefer the old walking street .
Me too
Okeanos Agogo -did that used to be Alcatraz? I'm pretty gutted over the loss of Red Car Disco as well - admittedly I haven't been there in ages coz I'm getting a bit old for nightclubs, but I had some great times there back in the day.
yes it was mate and yes a lot has changed
Nice one
Can't believe the changes Trevor since I was last there preferred the old days tbh good watch tho 👍
Yeah a lot has changes
Russian bars if you go in alone a girl will come and sit with you, and a drink for her will appear, that you have to buy 😢 not cheap ,can't just go in for a look 😮
thanks for sharing
Stay away from Russian bars.
Salut Trev.Nice video.😃👍
Cheers mate
It’s like when NYC around Times Square was cleaned up.
I understand what you say I visited that city once it was amazing
Times move on Trevor it’s sad mate. I visited and went straight to hua hin I don’t think I’ll ever go back to Pattaya walking streets done for mate and soi6 was better 20 years ago. Still iam 55 now I started going to Pattaya at 30 years old I meet my wife there and are still married to her. It’s not place I loved it was brilliant in the late and early 2000s if you know you know streams are great long may they continue
Last time I went to Hua hin bars were dead.
Yeah I get ya mate
The Indian nightclub is such a waste of space… every Thai woman I’ve ever met always has horror stories about them lol so taking up that much real estate is wild… that’s okay they’re going to learn quickly that won’t work out. Tourists don’t like that crap.
I get ya mate
They are there for a long time and cost way more than you can afford. Lots of FL too. If anything is a waste of space, it's your inflated ego.😂

Sounds great!
Russian girl venues are not aimed at Russian market, they're looking for Indian customers as Russian girls are hugely in demand from Indian people.
I know mate, they also hit up newbie tourists
Two brothers in late 2021 and early 2022 was a parking lot. Was open until a piece of the concrete gave way and they closed it down. Then it got redeveloped into what it is today.
Haha cheers mate
Lets just say Walking street is not geared towards clientele from the west anymore l'll stick to buakhow area thanks
Totally mate
The old Windmill was great. I used to dine in Swiss Food restaurant right opposite before going there to meet a really nice lady. I think I saw Trevor in there once, covered in soap suds.
Well said
Yep! X-Zone,Catz and Club Buesh😎 Them were the days Pete☺️
So true
In my opinion Trev, I don't think they should just target 2 different nationalities. And Countries It should be targeted for all To enjoy walking street. But what do I know!
I've just been in hospitality. Business for 30 years. Thank you for your video.
Always a pleasure
I totally agree!
I was on walking street last night for the first time since the dreaded virus (4 years) and I would say it is aimed at people from India and Asia. I think I saw at least 3 of those airgun galleries, which seems strange to me.
yeah I agree
Geared towards those wo don't have guns. The Russian Girl Bars seems excessive
Great vid Trev. What are the white boxes all along walking street and on both sides?
Electric meters

20 years ago used swimming pool and restaurant belonging to Windy Inn . Relaxing afternoons .
John Buriram .

So true
Love that saying, I shall write that one down .😊
Why anyone wanna go to Thailand to go into an Indian or Russian bar is mind boggling!
There is a gazillion people from India there, the amount of the Indian tourists is enough to sustain it.
Lol
I went to the Janaat club one time. I actually liked it. Same with another Indian club down the street. And yes the "European" and "Uzbek" women were choosing. ❤

Yes mate
lucky star, marine disco, living dolls, happy a go go, even abbey's beer bar all sorely missed
oh and the Irish bar what was the name?
Peppermint - and PARIS-a-gogo !!! :-)
