    Great video. I've seen too many negative "Downfall of Stampy" videos who all missed the point. A lot of content creators are too focused playing the algorithm game so they view Stampy's lower view counts as failure. A positive video about him is a breath of fresh air. He's still making videos that brighten tens, sometimes hundreds of thousands of people's days. And he doesn't complain that the numbers aren't in the millions like back in the days. He's never even asked for subscribers all this time. To go through the highs and the lesser-highs and always remain genuine and find time to have fun, that's something I can look up to more than any other *success* on RUclips.

    I feel like Stampy was one of the key reasons Minecraft has risen to such high popularity. Many kids including myself found out about Minecraft and enjoyed it a lot because of Stampy’s Lovely World. His series was very child friendly and the sheer quantity of creative and quality builds inspired us all with our Minecraft projects. Without Stampy, Minecraft may have still been popular but nowhere near as popular as it is today

    Stampys lovely world videos started off as just a let’s play series of himself trying out the game when it was new, but had evolved into so much more and created characters and a story but still felt so genuine and i really admire that. I think part of the reason he “fell off” other than what you pointed out was that most of us who were part of his audience just grew up/out of his content. i don’t remember suddenly not watching him, i slowly drifted away from his videos. I totally agree with everything you're saying, this is why I watch stampy. I hate that every single video is the same in the minecraft youtube commuity and have been here since 2016-2017. For the reasons you metion in this video stampys always been in my life in a way, and unlike many other minecraft content creators I have no wanting of leaving. • @RobertTheDasher
      @RobertTheDasher 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@blue_collar_solidYTWell for one Stampy was a really early Minecraft content creator, he started playing and making videos in May of 2012, a few months after Minecraft was released (November 2011) and 2nd he really was one of the first SMP content creators. Probably not the first, but definitely one of the best at the time. And he did make SMP content, SMP = Survival Multiplayer, and that’s exactly what Stampy made, he made Minecraft survival videos with his friends.

      @RobertTheDasher 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@blue_collar_solidYT Davidangel64 was one of the first Minecraft RUclipsrs, just because he was there before the full release doesn’t mean Stampy wasn’t one of really early Minecraft RUclipsrs, and he’s not even that popular either, especially compared to Stampy 100k isn’t much. Also it doesn’t matter if Stampy considers his world an SMP or not it’s a Survival Multiplayer world, therefore it’s an SMP, and if he makes content on said Survival Multiplayer world, it’s SMP content whether he considers it that or not. And Stampys world became an SMP before Mindcrack started, since Mindcrack started in August of 2013 and Stampy had L for Lee join in January of the same year. Although it is not a big SMP like the other ones with lots of people, a Minecraft survival world with multiple players is considered an SMP.

    Stampy definitely paved the way for loads of RUclipsrs to have success because he was a prime example of understanding the audience and paying attention to what they wanted. I started watching him In early 2014 ish I think maybe bit before then and then maybe around 2017 ish I noticed that a lot of RUclipsrs had followed his footsteps to the point it seemed a lot like copying. Like sb737, he started his RUclips with a let’s play, even had his own love garden lol and now he has millions of subs.

    i really, really hate the new algorithmic drive of youtube, especially minecraft youtube, to the point where it's making me sick. I'm at a point where my brain is too overstimulated and my attention span is too short to watch something like a stampy video, and God I wish this wasn't the case. I hate the fast-paced, jump-cut, hyper-editing, loud music, zero-personality creators who pump out content for the sake of it. It's sickening and ruins the enjoyment of youtube because i feel like a robot when watching other robots do mindless and endless grinding for views. I hate how youtube focuses so much on this sort of content and engagement. I understand it, the algorithm wants to promote higher quality content, but in the end it's been heavily exploited to the point where it's unbearable. I know this video is about stampy, and i think he serves as a prime example of someone with creativity and someone who really just doesn't care about the views, and then I see others talking about how stampy's "fallen from grace" no he didn't. He just refused to change because he didn't want to "farm" more views. So glad someone called this out.

    When in 2015 I started playing I would always watch Stampy. Life was good, RUclips was good, these videos were good. Now we have in 2023 really bad dumb minecraft RUclipsrs that give me headaches.

  • @sufi5416
    @sufi5416 9 месяцев назад

    Stampy in one of my childhood figures on RUclips. And I have always looked up to him kinda like how people view Technoblade's content today.
    And every time I have seen a negative Stampy down fall video I think those videos gets the wrong idea of why Stampy avoided to not follow trends instead of following the money.
    Because those down fall videos always looks at RUclips content that follows the algorithm religiously instead of looking at RUclips content the other way around. The whole point of RUclips was to express your creativity and your love for making good videos, and I think people loss sight of that in the first place when money became a priority for people back in 2016. Don't get me wrong though, money is very important if you're doing RUclips as a job. But when you slowly start to view RUclips as more of a place to make money then making good and creative content, You start to get people to wonder. Why is RUclips less fun for you? And when you start to asking yourself that question then it maybe the time for you to take a rest and refresh your brain.
    So overall, Stampy made the right choice by not following views and trends. And that's why I still respect him to this very day. He is a creator that made a name for himself back then. But I think overtime with new generations of Minecarft players he will be slowly forgotten overtime by the RUclips landscape. And it's natural for new faces to appear over time, but it is ok to always remember those creators that made Minecraft popular.
    Think about Stampy kinda like the Roman Empire. The Roman Empire used to be a giant empire across Europe, but over time in human history it started to be forgotten over time because of the changing landscape of human history. What I'm trying to say here is to always remember who was here before us and to remember their legacy as for who they are.
    Stampy continue on for what you think is good content for you. And for you guys don't let others dictate your creative outlook. Always look at what you want to make, not what a minority thinks you should be making. Because after all RUclips's modo was to " Broad cast yourself" and we shouldn't forget that.
    Edit: also on a personal note here I kinda miss Minecraft lets play videos. Because every thing on RUclips that is related to Minecraft is quicker and not slower. For example here I some times when I'm watching these quick videos I always say out loud by myself, "hey can you please slow down?" Because I have a hard time keeping up with videos that are more quicker now of days. I know for younger kids that's not an issue, but for me it's totally an issue.

    I think he's left a mark on all of us. He's definitely the person who inspired me to get into RUclips and content creation myself. I will always be grateful for the things he has done.
